Shorts are great for quick views and subscribers - BUT - they are so short they are not good for getting watch time hours. AND, the ad revenue is terrible compared to long form. Long from is where the money and watch hours are.
That's the catch. Shorts get way more views, but they don't mean much. Get GREAT at creating long form, and you'll get views that count more. Long form is where the money and real subs come from. It's just a lot harder to stand out.
I started editing in Premiere in High School and then RAN with Capcut since 2020 due to its Effects, UI/UX, etc. Finding you and your videos has been A LIFESAVER as i navigate both tools on my creative journey and working with others. Thank you!

Man, this was a great help. I made a short using your tips (on this video and others) and got more views than anything else. Of course, I have 1 subscriber and only a few videos, but that's beside the point. Thanks for putting this together, it was super fun making my short.
You have to first have a keyframe on the clip in the timeline. Clip must be highlighted. Then right click and choose show keyframe animation. Make sure the playhead is EXACTLY on the keyframe. It'll be blu when it's selected. Hit the tiny downarrow on the right of the clip "show keyframe graphs" If the keyframe is blue, the graphs should appear in the middle.
My userface of Capcut is not at all like yours with all your features. I just downloaded it a few days ago. What version are you using? I don't the cutout option at all. And other features you are using. Please help.
There are THREE CapCuts: Desktop, Online and Mobile. I'm on Desktop on a Mac. On a PC it will be nearly identlical. Features will vary by country. I'm guessing you're using the browser/online version.

When you want your video go sideways it is simpler just to select video and use animation out to go left, right, up, down instead of doing those keyframes.
Yep! The built in animations are the easiest way to animate something on or off the screen. And they do things that would be much harder to do with keyframes. You just have less control with the animations, but they're perfect most of the time!
I learned from those 12 minutes what I didn't learn in hours of learning and videos. The upcoming videos on my channel, I believe, will have a professional quality unlike before. Thank you

Great tutorial but for some reason I'm not sure why when I move the background between the two layers it just overlaps me, i'm not on it but behind it. What should I do?

If the background isn't long enough, you can duplicate it so it repeats. You have to hold down the option key on a mac or alt key on a pc, click and drag to the right or above.

I appreciate the kind words! I use Camtasia to record my screen. I do the main edit in Adobe premiere, where I put myself in the circle. But that’s easily doable in CapCut. I’m just a lot faster in Premiere since I’ve been using it for so many years.
Yes! You need to plan for it in advance and film a few seconds of your background without the subject in it. Then you can use the Scene Removal Mask in FCP to remove the background. Also, thanks!

In the PC version of CapCut, the bottom layer is on the bottom track, your text layer would be on the track above it, and the top layer would cover everything below it, unless it's partially cut out to reveal what's beneath or only partially covering the screen. It's a little confusing because in the mobile version it can be backwards, and reordering the layers is different. Explain in more detail what's happening with you and I'll try to help. Same, won't do it on mine either. It's always on top of the video clip.😪

when i add a background overlay, it only showcases the background and hides me. But in your video the background is behind your video
Are you in mobile or desktop? You need to cut yourself out in order to see the background. On desktop you use cutout > auto cutout

For adding background images or videos why we have to duplicate the original I have tried many times but its not working correctly.
