Years ago, on hot summer day, I put an ice cube in my cats water bowl. They didn't know what to do. The bigger male touched it once, but the little lady would only look at it. I gave them another bowl until the anomaly melted.

After winter in the high Colorado mountains my boy looks like an ice age baby lion. Or miniature wooly cat. We have a waiting pool for our dog, but las summer I put several feeder fish in it for the cats to watch. Dog liked the fish too. I kinda thought the cats would eat them, but they didn't. So I had to go get fish food. I tried to have fish and they never lasted long. They made it till I had to bring them in before it froze.
