Very helpful video Edgar Navarro, thanks for taking the time to post it up.
Really appreciate the details-- such as that at 4:45 into the video- your mention of the bracket removal for the access to the plug nearest the driver. Also the specific socket extensions to reach that coil's bolt and the plug inside.Thank you again sir for simplifying the work for us that follow along.
You're welcome Ron Helmuth, glad the video was helpful 👍 thanks for tbe feedback
thanks for the video. Got my 2004 v8 4runner spark plugs changed yesterday and it went great. You saved my by saying i'd need the extension and universal joint!
Glad the video helped. Yes the extension and universal joint definitely makes the job a lot easier. Hope those fresh spark plugs are making the V8 T4R run like a champ 👍🏼
Thanks for the help
Well done Edgar. Your instructions will help me out.
Thank you now I learned how to help fix my dads car
awesome 👍🏼
mine as well cleaned the MAF and Throttle bottle!
Great video. Thanks
You’re welcome
Great video. Thanks man!
Thank you Andrew
Thank you, big help.
glad it was helpful 👍🏼
NEVER USE ANTI-SEIZE ON SPARK PLUGS! It will cause you to over-torque the plugs and with aluminum heads you're flirting with disaster!
Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware of that
so what do you use instead?
Did it run better? Thanks for the video!
I honestly did not notice a big difference. The old spark plugs were still in good shape.
Guys like you are fuckin legends!
Say Edgar it is necessary to change the wire plugs or not really when you change spark plug or not really let me know thanks
Sorry for the late response Cary. No it is not required to replace them unless you've had them for 100,000 miles or more or if they're in bad shape. i didn't replace mines because I had just installed new ignition coils (wires) 60,000 miles ago
@@edgarnavarro7264 okey edgar thank you buddy! Appreciate you!! Much for the response
Awesome video man - very helpful. Did you have to adjust the gaps on them at all before installation?
Now seeing that they are appropriately gapped out of the box. Woo!
sorry for the late response but no, I didn't have to adjust the gap. They come pre gapped 👍🏼
@@four4twenty you always confirm the gap...don't assume, they can be knocked out of gap
Great Job !!!!!!!!!!!!!
No anti- seize on plugs. Otherwise great video..
Yeah, I wasn’t aware of that at the time. I had a bad experience cross threading spark plugs on one of my old vehicles so I vowed to always use ant seize when installing spark plugs. Also I made a mistake on the torque spec. I meant to say 17 nm instead of 17 ft lbs
Great but no way on the anti-seize. Denso puts a tiny amount of it on at the factory anyway
wasn't aware of that 🤦🏽♂️
Doesn't the engine have aluminum heads? If it does, anti-sieze is usually not a good idea.
Can you explain?
@@JonFox1945 I believe toyota even said not to use antisieze. When you torque the spark plug down it will not be the correct torque if you apply antiseize
@@jacobmueting2153 I screwed up....
@@JonFox1945 if its been this long without issues don't worry about it lol. The issue is the guy who made this video said to do 17ft-lbs, when it should be 14ft-lbs. On top of that, if you use antiseize, it will be even over 17ft-lbs. Again, its been a year, dont worry about it. (just good luck getting those out in the future hehe). So the only hard done is they may be torqued down to 21ft-lbs when it should be 14
14ft-lbs, not 17 sir
thank you 👍🏼
Oh NOES........ Now he has to take it back to the dealership!
