Some people think "Margulis" is a wrong choice because it would be Lotus returning to the manipulations of Ballas... but look at it like this: the Lotus is a mimic who *_admired_* Margulis, and taking on her name can also be interpreted as Lotus adopting it as a heroic mantle. Reclaiming Margulis' name from the stain that Ballas left on it, cleaning and clearing it by carrying on Margulis' work of healing. Not just to heal the Zariman children this time, but to continue healing the entire Origin system. She's still Lotus (and Natah) beneath the Margulis name, but she's choosing to present herself as Margulis to bring attention to how great she was in life. So great that her work continues beyond death, not as a mask but as a honored title, carried by the Lotus like a flag, representing what Margulis really was. Not what Ballas tried to make out of them both. I personally went with Lotus myself, but Margulis is not a wrong choice.
It’s kinda just the zhorny choice so it’s looked down on understandably 😂 + Natah is who she actually is, and The Lotus is who she chose to be. Margulis is who she was told to pretend to be? Which eventually became more than that of course, but still
Yeah, the main difference is that ballas forced it on her and stripped her of her original character back in the Old War. This here is a consented choice.
personally I chose Lotus, but bought the Margulis skin for her. After all the Veils we see being put on other peoples faces, it was hard for me to not see Lotus helmet also as a Veil of some sorts. her being in Margulis skin while still having the name Lotus is my headcanon way of saying "she broke free from her own veil, now she sees with her own eyes"

@dahSweep you can make bets with monopoly money during streams and when Cross' side lost the bet, Cross was joking around, playing like he had won the bet so one of the moderators took the initiative and authorized the bet payout to the Losers. A lot of people were mad they lost money that they should have won and Cross being sympathetic about the misunderstanding offered to make a community vote of whether the mod responsible for the situation should lose their status and banned or not. The majority voted for mercy and then the same moderator sent a text to speech message of apology/explanation during a cutscene not too long after they had been shown mercy and that's why the timestamp sounds like gibberish
Duviri came out after New War. The devs reorder things sometimes, and for a while it was available to the newest of new players, an alternative to the start most of us had on warframes. But they changed it because it was confusing people? Duviri is(spoiler) the Drifter’s backstory, so people want newer folk to wait till after New War, because that is how it was originally.
@@jesusaguirre2150 nah, it should be played after not just the new war, but after the angels of zariman. since that would feel like a proper story sequence. with the tenno getting to "live" what happened to the drifter.
Easiest way to explain the situation with drifter and operator is to just think of the multiverse theory. You learn in the class on the Zeriman about Eternalism. Basically its saying theres a version of you for each big choice you make in which you made the other choice. Like the story about the girl deciding which parent to save, Thats what the Drifter is, the version of you that ended up not escaping the Zeriman and becoming a warframe operator, which is why the drifter doesnt have void powers. Its a crazy concept to conceptualize, but its even crazier that they made it a reality. I hope they do more with that idea too.
Warframe does like reminding you just how powerful your warframes are by taking you out of them occasionally :D It also equalizes the power levels a bit and makes sure the newbies AND the vets are occasionally on equal footing.
I was on Cetus when it dropped, standing on the beach with many other tenno witnessing the sky change color under fire. Even RedText wasn't messing around like his usual
jeese, Cross's movement has gotten so much better in such a short timespan. Especially rockin' it with melee and the Drifter. Think he's really going to enjoy Duviri.
Im so glad we managed to not fk up the story order by letting chat misguide him into starting duviri Also fyi if anyone is wondering. Doing Angels of zariman makes more sense than doing duviri right after New War
I personally hate this perspective. Duviri before new war doesn't spoil or ruin anything. It was designed to be played before new war as it serves as the backstory to the drifter. The whole don't play duviri is a remnant of when it was a starting point as an alternative to the origin system.
I'm of the camp that prefer Duviri be played before the new war, not only better gameplay wise, access to easy new frames and mods etc. But story wise it makes it so much cooler when you see the drifter for the first time in the new war, and it makes it LESS confusing albeit still confusing when you're met with the whole eternalism twist.
Only caveat I personally have with it, is that Duviri should not be played before Second Dream, because the Duviri Paradox quest heavily clues you in that Warframes are controlled by some sort of puppetry-like possession during the Undercroft tutorial bit, which is one of Second Dream's big lore reveals that Duviri lowkey spoils.
LISTEN CROSS! The Thing with Legendary Cores is that people usually will tell you to either sell it or not spend it because it‘s a very rare item that we only get once a while via events or special drops but every experienced player exactly knows how valuable a Legendary Core is and that you shouldn’t really think about selling it if your long time plan is to get to the Endgame and have alot of Mods and Arcanes maxed out to create the best builds. So in that case you still want to make use of it for yourself and i highly suggest you to only invest it on a unranked Prime Mod since they are the Mods with the highest Endo and Credit Cost and therefor you get the most out of your one time usable item to max it out for free. Good specific examples for this would be Primed Continuity which drops from Baro Kiteer (the Void Trader that appears every second weekend) and is a very good Mod for almost any Warframe Build these days.
What i love the most about new war is that it shows how bad ass grineer and corpus soldiers actually are - we as warframe are just a whole other league.

Loving the playthrough so far!!! Only thing that’s a shame was him getting hilariously unlucky with the cutscene bugs. Never had any issues, or heard of any issues, with cutscenes before. Wonder why the final Lotus scene bugged so hard…
The bugs have been popping up since 1999 released and the dev team was on vacay until this past Monday. For some reason 1999 broke some older quests and whatnot. So that should be fixed in the coming month or so
About margulis debate.. if the game provide the option, then there's NO wrong answer, only different preference. While i personally pick lotus, margulis is never the wrong choice. Also i dunno why you guys hate duviri so much, i personally think duviri shouldve been played before the new war, i personally screamed of joy when i saw drifter at new war cuz i didnt think drifter will show up in the main quest
I love duviri. My drifter is always wearing Duviri adjacent clothing. Playing Duviri before New War sounds stupid as hell. That's kind of like playing War Within before Second Dream. Like having an answer before a question.
@shinysilverfish I disagree. It gives important context to New War. Otherwise you just have the same lost feeling when Drifter shows up out of nowhere and starts referencing Duviri. Plus you get easier access to weekly frames, which new players really need. Now don't make my mistake and pay it before The Second Dream, but anytime between then and New War is fine.
@@jesusaguirre2150 Interesting, I never thought about the fact that new players wouldn't have heard of Duviri before either quest. I still think the story is better when Duviri is played afterwards, as their introduction is far more interesting here than being thrown into the spiral mess immediately. And, there's the question of is this person my operator grown up, which I think adds a layer of intrigue
It's a shame umbra didn't have a part to play in new war, even as just an npc. Ballas didn't die in sacrifice so umbra should know he lived and his revenge isn't complete
I need to see more Dax combat so I would love it if DE did an expansion set during the Old War. And then have those Old War experiences lead to the Tenno setting up a training academy for a new type of kuva powered Dax in the current Warframe timeline. They could then follow a Dax recruit through the new academy.
Veil breaker, jade light, and Duviri are the main ones that you should do next if your trying to put in some farming in your streams. Because Whispers in the Wall and Angels of Zariman are quests that turns up the difficulty for real
It wasn't a wrong choice: Natah is her original name, her true identity, Lotus is what she chose for herself and her children, a title rather than a name, and Margulis is what she aspired to become. Either way, she is a conflicted person with three personalities, all three different from each other, one by birth, one by force, and one by choice. Natah was a warrior/builder, Margulis a researcher/pacifist and Lotus a single mother/master/teacher. Whatever name you choose for her, she is all of those traits and more. In a way, she became more than the sum of her personalities. Personally, I love her for what she is. I'm aware she's not a real person, but I love her personality...her multiple personalities combined and that makes her real in our minds. Yeah, human mind it's so weird and complex, that's why I reject the whole idea of AI. A real Artificial Intelligence will think, feel and choose for itself becoming a him or her...but not yet. Not yet.
I enjoyed playing new war it felt right playing through the story as excalibur umbra and fighting ballas felt like meaningful revenge for what he did to him
I still fish and do mining sometimes. And I have 1650 hours of gameplay and around 3000 total. Oh and railjack is awesome just needs more compatibility with the rest of the game.
Chat is sabotaging this man by not allowing trade, which is pretty crucial in this game. As someone that has been playing since around 2014, I can understand wanting new people to experience the game fresh, but imposing limitations on mechanics that naturally come into play during normal gameplay is dumb. A no gift rule would be fine, but no trade is just forcing him to grind and progress way slower than anyone would by normally playing.
There’s a conservation minigame/hunt that will get you very nice mods for your pets. See the Business or Master Teasonai, or Son for those. Look in the trade for tags/floofs section for mods.

It was the most frustrating thing in whole quest. especially how they hit your ass through walls on some WALLHACK SHIT. I feel like they didnt really play test that level too much lol.
I don't think i had a single cinematic bug, or visual bug in a single warframe quest, i never thought they were common or even a problem....after watching cross play, i know now how lucky i was... and i do agree with chat for once, the website doesn't say to do Duviri/A.O.Z, but they're pretty....important story wise for W.I.T.W and 1999

The new Venus it's beautiful, grean garden 🏡 Ugly is the snow....and cold 🥶
It's nice to see these quests again. It's been so long since I played them. Remembering how frustrating some of them were at that time makes me glad that I am done. But man what a ride.
53:20 fuck that chatter saying its a waste of time that cross wanted to build the mech instead of just buying it. FFS let the man enjoy the experience and playing the game how he wants to.
ordis is…
Well, he grows on you, and there’s…hidden lore
Quite happy I crushed the veso part in my play though, watching others do it I realized quite a few folks struggled.
Same here, watching other people struggle is so frustrating
i mainly just struggled with the jackal fight due to the really stupid AI man. that freaking breached moa would walk like he was playing snake or something 😂
Cross doing the “legit” starchart grind is so fucking respectable i cant express
Oh, ranking up faction with Deimos, or other factions can get you more story! If story is a thing you care about. Some people don’t?
The issue for me is she isn’t margulis, she is natah. So thats who i went with
Nah she will always be Lotus
Watching Kahl use the Corinth Prime and do that WHOLE segment puts into perspective just how OP the Tenno really are. Grineer are gene engineered and outfitted for war, but his entire body is thrown by the Corinth Prime shots. Same for Veso as well. Imagine being the most wealthy and technological faction of the solar system, but a single tenno easily sweeps through and exterminates your crew....
In New War... When the Tenno were unable to assist in the main invasions, sentients simply swept everything out...
Also lmao cross is seriously blind to visual cues that the rest of us gets
Bro. The robot's "initiating customer service" line just before blasting is huge retail worker energy. Lmao i work at Home Depot so that shit hits different. Lol
I chose Lotus personally, but I will admit Margulis is a baddie 😆
Brother DE gotta go back and fix the quests these visual glitches are crazy lol
Literally he gets the weirdest bugs lol
I'm 99% sure its something with his system. WF can be buggy but the shit that happens to him is too consistent
@@subzz11 or its a recent update effect
@@DawnAfternoonmore likely some broken GPU driver.
@@eziothedeadpoetnah, similar and some identical things happened to 4 other pals of mine who recently finished the new war
So now that he has done the new war he can do duviri. It won't be so difficult to understand or get now, until now it would not of made any sense at all.
Enjoy duviri it's pretty awesome.
Worth noting all those quests he's been doing took years to get to us, we got each one yearly basically. So if you think back and look back you will see that the game has grown so much over the years it's crazy.
4:55:07 The mod's erroneous prediction payout was understandable and the majority poll voted not to punish them for it but then they sent a TTS during a cutscene and people began to regret their mercy 😂
As someone who doesn't watch streams I have no idea what happened here. Very confused.
And I think that sucks. Play it after the Second Dream for sure, but anytime between then and New War should be fine.
@@jesusaguirre2150 nah, it should be played after not just the new war, but after the angels of zariman. since that would feel like a proper story sequence. with the tenno getting to "live" what happened to the drifter.
@@jesusaguirre2150 Playing it helps explain the drifter character versus before players are just confused.
Warframe is easily one of the most diverse games ive ever seen. The possibilities are truly endless 😮
I love how Cross went right for the simp rout
53:19 "this is such a waste of time" whoever said that is lowkey a dumbass, he's literally playing the game and seems to be enjoying it
During the part in Cetus, there was one moment that had me lauch out loud; when you remove the Veil from Hok, he instantly yells for Pedlek.
The new war is a big milestone once that’s done in my opinion the game gets a lot better
Warframe does like reminding you just how powerful your warframes are by taking you out of them occasionally
:D
It also equalizes the power levels a bit and makes sure the newbies AND the vets are occasionally on equal footing.
Tenno reiality manipulation in The cut scenes bro they're just nerfed in the gameplay
Imagine being the guy that just sends a TTS in the middle of an important cutscene. I'd immediately (perma) ban that dude.
I was on Cetus when it dropped, standing on the beach with many other tenno witnessing the sky change color under fire. Even RedText wasn't messing around like his usual
This quest blew my mind to. But none of my cutscenes bugged like yours 😂😂😂
Lucky you, me and several others got the same ones :/
The part they kill you off and make you log back in was absolutely insane.
That blows his final Lotus cutscene broke
I can't believe how bad the chat is. So many red herrings in terms of smart decision making.
It's mostly annoying kids who just make people quit by saying the tutorial is 100 hours and that WF doesn't have a goal
Isn't the Sevagoth quest the one with the lullaby/sea shanty esque song? It was beautiful.
Yup
jeese, Cross's movement has gotten so much better in such a short timespan. Especially rockin' it with melee and the Drifter. Think he's really going to enjoy Duviri.
Im so glad we managed to not fk up the story order by letting chat misguide him into starting duviri
Also fyi if anyone is wondering. Doing Angels of zariman makes more sense than doing duviri right after New War
I mean as long as people tell him Duviri is a prequel to the New War.
I dont really think it matters when you play duviri tbh nothing is chronological anymore with time travel in the mix
I love the dedication to baking everything yourself.
What i love the most about new war is that it shows how bad ass grineer and corpus soldiers actually are - we as warframe are just a whole other league.
2:21:30 is when the quest begins
Cross is soooo far behind compared to the story missions hes doing.
Also shout out to our boy Kahl. Dudes literally a gangster
He isn't I went into TNW with Braton volt and the one melee we get it's useless for story quests anyway u don't use weps much and if u do U get weps so everyone's on the same lvl
As a fellow creator, I'm absolutely diggin watching your experience through the initial journey of the gameplay and quest line. There's SOOOOO much more to have a blast with Cross! I'll keep watching for sure!
Angels of the Zariman and Whispers in the Wall are big time story based quests you'll wanna dig into. Whispers is a blast!
bro's inability to pay attention to literally anything is genuinely impressive
I love the retro music at the start of the stream, so much :D
Quest progression should be : Duviri > Veilbraker > Angels of Zerimen > Jade Shadows > Whispers in the Walls > The Hex
It doesn't really matter as long as U play 2nd dream before Duviri
VOULL NE XATA VOK, MARA LOHK
The "I share your pain. Not literally though, I didn't lose any eggplants" took me tf out 😂 4:44:06
People fish or mine after you get all the resources partly because of Nightwave rewards.
blindcross will never not be funny, its why i enjoy watching this series lol
“How am I blind” ….facial expression *let’s not talk about it*😂
Ah yes, i love fishing, the music slowing down, the enhanced water sounds, its calming to me.
35:35 "I like Minecraft" he said. I dare you to beat the dragon, the wither, on hardcore Minecraft 😂
Got to the spot he notices he has a legendary Core, all i can think is do not use it as he will almost never get another one until he hits Mr 31
Yeah we all got one for free from Christmas drops
I forgot how how many quests there were in the game. I was a day 1 player so i waited for each quest patiently and kinda forgot about most of them so i never knew it took this long to finish them all.
Same lol 😂
I’ve always hated how we needed a necromech for a literal walk in the ship. That’s the only reason we needed it! De worked in this mission for years! They just threw in the mech for no reason other than they had the asset and wanted to use it.
Nice stream, sorry for the bug at the end. :)
And yes, Duviri makes more sense after this quest.
But this quest makes more sense after Duviri. Pick your poison.
He should be allowed to trade after an amount of time. I get he doesn't want to take gifts. But. He could at least benefit from trading extra shit he gets from popping relics and what not.
Edit: Wasn't he trading in POE? What's the difference?
"Make a decision bish" Cross😂😂😂😂
Loving the playthrough so far!!!
Only thing that’s a shame was him getting hilariously unlucky with the cutscene bugs.
Never had any issues, or heard of any issues, with cutscenes before. Wonder why the final Lotus scene bugged so hard…
The bugs have been popping up since 1999 released and the dev team was on vacay until this past Monday. For some reason 1999 broke some older quests and whatnot. So that should be fixed in the coming month or so
Khal whipping out Corinth Prime had me hype af when I played this!
3:22:11 the GOAT, mah baby TESHY!
Drifter and operator are one in the same as I’m sure you know by now this is a paradox
Not yet.
Ohhhh man i watch this with teshin ,quest was amazing realy thinking to replay this new war ,why not , nice you can replay the story s
Imagine playing Warframe for years, being a lore fanatic, and only just now realizing why we are called tenno. Because we are orphans of TEN ZERO
The final scene kill me
I enjoyed playing new war it felt right playing through the story as excalibur umbra and fighting ballas felt like meaningful revenge for what he did to him
It’s so dope to me dat the creative director at de voice lotus
2:21:56 is when The New War starts.
I still fish and do mining sometimes. And I have 1650 hours of gameplay and around 3000 total. Oh and railjack is awesome just needs more compatibility with the rest of the game.
5:42:56 he actually pull the shard from somewhere else. That's why it's cens.
Oh god the bugs have really plagued your playthrough, huh? Lighting bugs, wall glitches in cutscenes, etc.
Wait srsly? No trade, I would understand if he grinded the play and parts naturally, but damn no trade is harsh
He was the one who decided not to trade tbh
Trade does not “come into play during normal gameplay”
@@stickmsn it's easier to blame chat lmao.
Except chat has been BEGGING him to trade. Plus as someone pointed out, Cross said no gifting originally, not no gifting and no trading.
It's always funny seeing some people lose their shit when someone else choose Margulis as the story option.
How you spend 2 minutes looking for neromech summon?? My guy you play d2 lol
Someone should tell him that duviri is the backstory of a drifter, so that he has a context.
You can use your vodrig on railjacks and open world content
Shouldve taken the 2000 p honestly,im for the not trading but thats a sweet deal
There’s a conservation minigame/hunt that will get you very nice mods for your pets. See the Business or Master Teasonai, or Son for those. Look in the trade for tags/floofs section for mods.
Ngl they really need to fix that damn stealth mission with mask, when you are between the two paths that lead upstairs to the two consoles. It was the most frustrating thing in whole quest. especially how they hit your ass through walls on some WALLHACK SHIT. I feel like they didnt really play test that level too much lol.
holy moly he already finished the 3rd act, lmao
I really gotta catch him on one of his streams and tell him about the Mod Dumpster.
I don't think i had a single cinematic bug, or visual bug in a single warframe quest, i never thought they were common or even a problem....after watching cross play, i know now how lucky i was...
and i do agree with chat for once, the website doesn't say to do Duviri/A.O.Z, but they're pretty....important story wise for W.I.T.W and 1999
03:02:08
never seen someone die so much on that quest lol
