I own a bavaria cruiser 46 (2017 model year) and I love it. It's surprisingly fast, I got mine up to 16 knots speed over ground in about 27 knots of wind, and the twin rudders keep her very controllable. Also the boat is very well built, there's non of that annoying creaking of the floor boards... If you can afford it, I recommend a bavaria cruiser 40 sport edition, that one performs better.
Just found your channel .. Nice video... I can only speak English and I'm amazed anyone can learn another language... The word you were looking for instead of frosted is frozen (past tense) or freeze or freezing... I assume the time stamps brought me here because I watch Mads ... Nice to see his boat from a different perspective... did you meet him? Changing Oil is cheaper than the engine .. it also shows problems.. and the old oil if good can be filtered and used in a mower etc... Regards Mark.. UK.
Hi Tino, nice video. I actually bought a compressor to blow the water out of the water pipes and the water heater. I heard with the water heater you only have to drain the tank using the over pressure valve and what ever water is left can just freeze as there is enough room to expand. We also disconnected both pipes also to make sure. Cheers, Chris
Thanks for taking us along Tino. I hope to buy a Bavaria soon. I do like the look of the older models though and would like to purchase a Bav36 one day.
The older models from before 2002 is better build than the new ones. Some models of the Bavaria brand is cheap compared to others, think it's the popularity of the certain size. I know some of the sizes you can get cheap is 30,36 and 39 in the model years 2002-2007. The really old ones from the 80ies and 90ies is also out there and also a possibility if you go big and cheap. Sailing Britaly has one of the old models from the 90ies.
Nice little Video. Good idea to change the oil regularly. I do mine every 50hrs with the view that engines are expensive and oil is cheap in comparison. And yes .. prefect for spotting problems early. Well done .. and nice to see Mads boat. You could try do a meet a greet with him. Would be a good watch!!!
The keel looks very, very good Tino. I'm eager to see how mine looks at haul-out early next year, as I did a very similar treatment to my keel in Feb 2020. I'll let you know. :-)
Another great video Tino. Have you taken off your rudder and cleaned / replaced your lower bearing yet? Just about to do mine with a new one from Jefa which is slightly different as the bearing has rollers in its inside
Thanks 😁 My rudder bearings was changed in 2015, so right before I bought the boat. The plan with my next boat is to change all the seacocks, the saildrive membrane and the rudder bearings. But ok if the boat is from 2017 I'll wait some years 🙂

Hi Tino!
Do you have a bow-thruster in your bavaria cruiser 32? (01:05)
Yes a side-power 😊
