Thr youtube clicking issue is not an iPhone 13 bug. Its the combination of ios 15 and the app. My 12 pro max has this issue too.
same. using 12 pro max too. just recently i think because of ios 15.
The solution for me is just to go into multitask (swipe from the bottom and hold) and back to the app.
My phone is the SE, by the way (so I’m clicking the home button twice).
Yes. My 12 pro max has the same problem with youtube. Annoying isn’t it?!
@@lunakon5911 that's troublesome. Lol i did the same way like the video. Found it myself
All these big youtubers be making fancy looking videos talking about good stuff and then bail. Great video, these are very essential.
That's a huge problem with most UA-cam reviews for almost every product. They review based on a week's use, then bail like you said.
It's nice to get follow ups, and it's a win-win as we get a more accurate read as consumers and UA-camrs get more content and views.
@@77dris it’s not just a short amount of time they live with the product, it’s the affiliate link. They want you to buy it. They have a financial incentive for you to buy it. Therefore they have a financial incentive not to tell you the weaknesses. This video is gold.
@@77dris no. There biggest problems is that the majority of these reviewers are apple fanboys and will never call out the iPhone the way they would call a Google pixel

Your videos are always very detailed and impressive.
This is how detailed reviews should be. I also loved that you shared the workarounds for most issues.
Very informative and helpful 👏
He communicates very well with no cute but irrelevant chit chat.
I experience the touch issue on the XS as well, definitely a software issue.
My 8 plus does it to
I also get it on my 12 pro max on occasion , and it’s not just UA-cam , have also done it in safari.
I never noticed it happening before iOS 15.
Yup, My X has the touch issue too.. hope they fix some of these as mine gets delivered today lol
Same thing on my se 2. Eversince i upgraded to ios 15.
my se 2016 backup does it also but ist on ios 14.0
*correction 14.2
Touch input issue only happens in UA-cam for me. Also on my 12 pro max. Solution u gave also works for me 👍🏾
The solution he gave doesn’t work very often for me. I only see it on UA-cam as well. I have the 13 pro max but also happened on my 12 max too…
Happens on my 12mini as well
I have the same problem. This is after I updated to ios 15 and updated the youtube app. Mine was iphone 12 pro
Same they might fix it in the next iOS update👍🏽.
Same here, 13PM + UA-cam
that being said, I sometimes had very similar issues with android and the youtube app
Finally!👏 Someone who does very honest reviews about the iPhone 13 Pro. You earned a subscriber now and I already gave you your respective like.👍
Wow. Those low-light issues with the 3x lens are pretty awful. Thanks for offering tips to workaround all these problems!
The easiest way to cool down the display is to turn off “True Tone” while outside. Works for me! ( I’m part 107 FAA Drone pilot) no screen fade either.
I’ll try it next time I go fly the drone!
I've been reading that iOS 14 and 15 may have a bug that by default turns on both True Tone and REDUCE WHITE POINT. Anybody try these?
Thank you
Good advice
This makes perfect sense, what a great tip!
I’m getting that same touch issue with links on my 12 Pro Max since updating to iOS 15. Glad to hear it’s not just me 😅
I had experienced the same issues on my x,7 and 7+ in ios13,14 and now in 15 too
I have issue on iphone 11
Thought I was crazy at first haha. Tried everything to remove that issue, but no luck. Software issue :/
I didn't understand half the stuff you said but I appreciate your candor AND professionalism. By that, I mean for some problem you also provided the fix as well.
Brilliant technical review and reason enough not to upgrade my iPhone to the 13 Max Pro until the problems are completely resolved.
Or.... when u get the money! :)
@@edgarantunes666 It’s honestly not about the money. Not long now before the iPhone 14 makes its appearance.
Great tips on the camera issues.. hope Apple fix it soon
The agressive dimming of screen while using out in the sun can be a huge issue because that is exactly where you need your max brightness. Come on Apple. You charge so much and bring so much inconvenience.
This phone is not worth buying more than 700-800 euros :(
They do this to protect the device from overheating. It makes sense why turning on "Low Power Mode" counters this, but still it's very very annoying
@@kirkydaturkey then engineer better I mean I can see if they are doing intensive task, but simple stuff. honesly last two years seems quite off with apple ..it may be due to the pandemic
What do you expect of the phone is in direct sunlight and the backlight is at the max
How about prioritising Brightness over throttled performance. If heating/over-heating is the issue then it is a problem on it's own.
Imagine a 5nm chip doing simple tasks and overheating. Makes no sense at all.
Your channel contents is much better than many other more popular channels, with so much great and quality contents, thank you for being on UA-cam, hope you guys continue what you are doing..
It’s amazing that you included the solutions w the video
yes! this is what I expect from a tech channel. honest reviews, some bugs and quick fixs. we already knew that iphone(N) is always better than iphone(N-1). so it does not make sense to mention best iphone ever all the time :)
The problem with the camera is why I returned the iPhone 13 pro max and decided to keep my iPhone 12 pro max. Im glad you pointed it out. Reviewers are not talking about the camera problem. I noticed quickly the problem with the camera.
Returning my pro 13 today! Love the phone but I can’t get past the camera issues specially the hdr (no toggle).

Would be cool to get an update video to see if Apple addressed any of these issues 👍🏼
Thanks so your honesty reviewing. I will go return the iPhone 13 pro Max tomorrow. I used 11 day,the touch issue and video making issues really made me not in the good mood.
I live and work outside in Phoenix. When working up in the boom in direct sunlight it'll get hot just sitting in my pocket. No gaming or nothing. Streaming music to Bluetooth headphones. It'll already be dim when I pull it out to make a phone call or shoot a text. Gave it to a family member and got a used LG V60. Never had that issue again.
We need more videos like this one. Thank you for pointing out these important to know issues! Even for those of us with older phones, it's nice to know waiting to update to iOS 15 is probably a good plan.
Finally an honest professional review!! Thank you~ 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for the information. Hopefully the dimming issue will be addressed.
Another way to get around auto-macro mode - put your phone into 1X portrait mode. If you're close enough to your subject for it to switch to macro mode, you'll also be too close for it to use portrait mode, so it will just take a regular picture, but it will still use the primary lens.
5head
Apple have added a Macro toggle now in settings - camera which was released today with beta 3 iOS 15.1
It's a smart idea. But c'mon. Why do we have to go thru that after paying so much for a phone? Quite frankly, Androids are more user friendly
@@alain-danieltankwa8007 I agree that macro should have been a straightforward toggle (and now it is, at least on the most updated iOS beta), but I'm not sure I see it as "why should we have to go through all that" levels of bother. Pushing a "macro mode" button and switching to portrait mode take exactly the same number of steps - one. It's not as if something that should have been a one step process needs to be circumvented with a 17 step workaround. It's just a different, one step process that you can use instead. Your mileage may vary, but for me, that's pretty much a nonissue.

Very informative!!
By far the best video till now that actually informs about out the issues.
God job! Thanks
Great video. I got the iPhone 13 and am happy with that one so far. Thinking back, I should have got the Mini that is much more pocket friendly, or the 12 SE that has great colors and is better for budget minded. Bigger and newer is not always better. You don't always have to spend more to get more. This goes for everything.
I'm facing a issue with my 13 pro while uploading photos in insta story or in fb too. The original quality of the picture changes, light changes while uploading it. Why this is happening? I'm literally worried. Is it a software issue?

Can anyone buy me an iphone 13 pro max pls :)))))))))))))) Think of it as charity
Wish I could have given a triple like for this video. Very useful tips, especially the telephoto lens ones.
And especially for people who are researching buying this POS.
Great video mate thank you. You've addressed some serious issues especially with this macro lens. My problem is choosing between mini and pro and I am looking for the right reasons not to go to the pro. This is the first video that actually gives me a very good reason not to take the third lens so seriously. Is it possible that you could make a more detailed camera comparison between the mini and the regular pro? Also with the mini is it possible to shoot RAW photos or ProRes if you use another third party app?
Agreed. I'd rather have a less high-tech phone that works seamlessly.
Hi, great video, I have experienced this touch issue on my 12 pro max, I have a new 13 pro coming this week, so hope it’s sorted soon🙌🏻
Thanks for offering this type of feedback as well!
Yeah, I have been using the low power mode technique and it helped with temps, minimalized screen dimming and performance in games was pretty similar, but I'd like to see Apple make a good cooling solution for their phones...
In pubg is it overheating?
I’m used to keeping my 12 Pro Max on 33% brightness so I don’t sear my retinas, especially first thing in the morning, and that also means I don’t have overheating problems. I only turn it up if I’m outside, and that’s it.
Brilliant stuff! I have a 12PM and use the camera and UA-cam all the time. So I have now decided to wait before upgrading. I may even wait till next year?! 👍
Keep coming up with amazingly honest reviews.
I’ve been using it for two weeks and I definitely agree… the camera issue is especially annoying.

Good video. Can you do a similar for the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13? The taller notch intruding into 18:9 content, such as Netflix, looks awful right now and is really distracting for me. I am not aware of any fix so I am returning my iphone 13 Pro for a refund until it is fixed as I like to keep these phones for 3-4 years and this is a deal-breaker for me.
what a great review. I am impressed by the infos. good Job.
I have big time issue with inside video recording. Exposure changing all the time when I move the phone. It never happened with iPhone 12. Tried to lock exposure, but it locks focus too. With locked focus video quality is horrible. Any advises on this, please?
You did a great job man 😃. Thanks a lot and I really appreciate your honest review 👍👍
@MaxTech I have a solution for problem #2 in youtube: so you know how it doesn't register your touch inputs on the video right, I find that tapping on the channel circle, and then hitting back on the top left and then clicking the video works REMARKABLY well, all the time
At least his honest and gives information detailed to try or fix”Apple need to know everything from bugs and flaws to get fixed great video💯
Thanks for the video
so most peak performance issues/dimming/overheating of the "Pros" can be fixed by low power mode? Might as well get the regular iphone 13 since basically its in "auto low power mode" lol
was considering getting it but now i'm having second thoughts. thanks this video was very informative
Overheating has been an issue for yrs on the A chip.
Nahhhh definitely get it.
Nah!!! Samsung is no better, because they have issues similar to iPhone too!!! These issues are easy to avoid. I gotta admit these iPhone issues are annoying though.

Thanks 🙏 I love informative vids like this!!
This is exemplary information! The tap issue is frustrating because the device is expensive and top tier. Hopefully, Apple will fix this and other bugs soon.
What a professional detailed review! Love this so much!
Certainly solidified my buying decision. No way!
Thanks for someone finally showing those sides of the iphone. I actually got both phones too and i was surprised that no one spoke about the overhyped camera that actually happened to be worse even than a galaxy s10 plus in a lot of situations. I'm sorry but that's not a 1.6k phone. And no one speaks about that plasticy sounding and feeling display. Maybe it's just me but it really bugs the hell out of me. Also the lower resolution and the fact that it is not actually brighter as claimed is another minus.
The galaxy S10 is an amazing phone, nothing in common with buggy iPhones
The review that I needed! Especially about the camera. 100% agree with you.
didnt even realize what was goin on with the dimmin was driving me crazy. thank you!
I feel like that Apple needs to work on the software now. Basically everything can be fixed with updates. I believe they will get to it soon (they addressed the apple watch problem with the last patch) but it will prolly take a couple of weeks or months.
Apple need to work on their RAM
@@saharajohnson6481 whats wrong with their ram?
@@112188Francisco they use the same RAM this year IPhones and last IPhones that what some people not talk about
@@saharajohnson6481 Nothing wrong with their ram. The iPhone still vastly outperforms flagship android phones that have twice as much ram. iPhones are just super efficient.
@@saharajohnson6481 you need to gain a little knowledge on technology. RAM in this case doesn’t matter with iPhone due to the operating system being so light. Therefore 6GB of Ram is all the phones need to keep apps open and running in the background. Software optimization is key.
3:00 this is also a 12 pro max issue for me, and even happens occasionally on my iPad.
Thank you for so detailed video!
It's incredible a product that cost that kind of money has so many problems. I have a Samsung s21 ultra and wanted to change to the iPhone pro max but you made me change my mind
iOS 15 lags on animation between opening and closing apps and gets significantly hotter while using live text
Considering it's a new phone, I hope that future software updates will adjust some of the problems to make the user experience much better than it already is.
You're not like others, thanks for helping me out with the swift iPhone 12 mini Sim swap'
Wow you live in Spokane! Just noticed the clock tower in River Front Park at the start of your video and the other shots in spokane and the valley. Pines exit is right by where I work 😁 Love the videos, keep up the good work!
I was looking forward to using this phone for recording my UA-cam videos because of the cinematic mode and proRes - since my 2012 Sony NX30 camcorder doesn’t allow me to get that cute blurred background (unless I place it ridiculously far away) and I need to upgrade anyway from my iPhone X. But now I feel discouraged because of the overheating and camera issues 💔 thank you for the video!
The cameras dont overheat, he's being overly dramatic
U should be fine, especially filming inside, just make sure you buy lights because cinematic mode doesn’t work with low light 💡
@@LouisLuzuka thanks! I do have two led panels and soft boxes, I hope that would be enough for the iPhone 13 Pro Max 😅🙏 the camcorder has been enjoying the panels since I got them
Lol, that blur you like is called bokeh. But smartphones mostly fake it so it’s noticeable unless you use it properly. You’re better off with a camera like the a6000 or newer and a good 35 mm lense
@@carlossap yes I am aware that creating depth of field in a shot is also called bokeh ☺️ I’ve watched plenty of YT videos on the topic trying to figure it out on my camcorder (in vain, but the info gained was worth it). Thank you for the suggestion, I just didn’t want to buy expensive and bulky equipment if I could get similar - even if fake - effect. I thought about the ZV1 since it has the button to quickly activate the bokeh effect, but since I need a new phone anyway, thought it could 2 in 1 you know?

Imagine if they had type c with thunderbolt 4. That would get the footage into a M1 Mac super quick in comparison. The nvme flash is quite fast and by limiting the wirespeed to USB 2.0, 450Mbps, is quite disappointing.

Good review
I’ve had phones with the always on display. Honestly, meh… When I went back to the iPhone, I didn’t miss it at all. - Just isn’t a big feature to in my opinion. I’m more interested in battery life.
Actually the iPhone has a date and day and notification don’t get the big deal on always on display.
Had it once too with jailbreak. Was really disappointed. There's absolutely no value in it. It's just distracting when it's always on. If I want to see time or notifications just tap it once.
Agree with this 100%. I have had android phones with it and ended up turning it off because it wasn't useful, and in one case, there was burn-in.
I've been having the dimming display issue since iPhone 11 pro max. I have to drive a lot for my work and having the iPhone under direct sunlight during the hot days and using google maps the display dims so much is almost unusable to use navigation! Also a really big issue for me with iOS 15 is the fact that you can't turn off smart HDR which adds this annoying algorithm "fix" to the photos that basically ruins them!
What about the setting that allows you to turn off smart HDR?
@@Reactor10k there’s no such option in iOS 15. They removed it.
@@solidsn2011 Did they? I’m looking at it right now. Are we talking about an iPhone 13?
@@Reactor10k yeah mate. Not sure where you can see it exactly but if you search on forums everyone is complaining about it. It doesn’t matter if it’s iPhone 12 or 13 it’s the iOS 15. well I’m on an 11 Pro Max on 15 and it’s there for me. Perhaps from the 12 up things are different…
I have had the screen freezing issue you mention on my iPhone 12 Pro which started with iOS15. Usually I fix it by swiping the app to close it and restart. It doesn't happen that often so it's not a big issue.

The camera issue is definitely the biggest problem I have. I didn’t realize how often I take close photos until nearly every photo looks like crap because of the crop of the ultra wide lens. I’m glad you mentioned it because I thought my 13 pro max was broken haha

Yes someone needs to tell Apple because their engineers can’t figure that out on their own…. 🙄
Best review. Just subscribed
Well this is good to know I was thinking about upgrading but I’ll just stay with my iPhone 12 n wait till next year
Everyone knows in photo that the lower the F value the more light is brought into the lens. It is foolish for apple to not apply this to their night mode. Either way, it is correctable by an update or manual mode. I hope they add pro-control mode to the camera to let you do some of this yourself. I think we are getting into an area where we need them to dig in and give some control to the user on this.
theyve explained its because they needed to keep the lens weight down for the sensor image stabilization to work correctly
I use to be someone that defended the lighting port until a few days ago when I had to transfer large files and realize it’s time for it to go! Furthermore I say skip USBC and go straight to Thunderbolt 4.0. At this point it makes more since if your including ProRes and Raw
Given that cameras are so much more powerful these days , it wold make sense to go for the fast port , and in any event having one device lightning, and all the rest usbc is just a pain in the ass.
iPhone 14 will not have USB C, instead it will be portless.
Thunderbolt 4 is still USB C... USB Type C is only the connector shape, not the USB standard that the port actually uses.
Transferring with wifi is faster
What about transferring via Air Drop?
This was good. Useful.
Thank you for this review. I just bought a Samsung zfold 3 rather than fight more bugs
And this is exactly why I haven’t upgraded from my iPhone 7 Plus yet. And yes it is a major pain to play Genshin on this particular device since graphics performance is no longer sufficient compared to the newer ones 😅
Hilarious. I'm in the same boat. I was about to upgrade my iPhone 7. I want a better iPhone camera but after watching this video, I got a headache. I think I'll wait til Version 2.0. I didn't think Apple would release such a buggy iPhone.
Get the 11 series or 12 series.
Lol I have the 8 and I’m having a problem lately with the touch responsiveness as well as it getting pretty hot when I use gps for a few hrs in sunlight. Was thinking about upgrading and now I hear the brand new ones have the same problems 🥴
Tbh, the 13 pro is going to be a massive upgrade from a 7 plus. Most of these are going to fixed in software. I’ve also personally never had a problem with screen dimming either, the screen is bright enough that I don’t have to crank up the brightness in the first place.
Ok you reassuring me because I’m waiting for my 13P and watched this video which clearly destroyed the 13P and PM 😅
if you put any iphone under sunlight for long periods of time it wont only damage the battery but also the phone will become unresponsive and it will struggle to operate, i have personally had this problem a lot of times while driving and using maps while the sunlight hit the phone and i can fully say that you need to keep your iphone away from the sun because once it shows you that "iphone is too hot" message it probably is struggling to stay alive.
My iPhone 7 Plus doesn’t have this issue. I’ve recorded out in the sun at beaches and amusement parks all day long without the issues 13 pro max is having.
Great video man congratulations 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
did all the Problems regarding software updating already resolved for Iphone 13 Pro Max? I'am thinking of buying a new Phone but a little bit hesitant, should I wait for Iphone 14? or Samsung Fold 4?
Most of those issues can be fixed by a software update and for the the cinematic in 4K is not in issue just get the 256gb
i don't understand why Apple can't seem to get their act together on hardware and software of any phone especially the 13 pro max but hopefully future software updates will fix all these issues that keeps coming up.. good video i enjoyed it and glad to know all these issues i just got this phone for my Birthday and i enjoying every minute of it i'm coming from an 11 pro max 256gb i got the 512gb model the 1 tb is just to much for me its more an overkill .. :)
Unless you're a photographer or movie maker that saves all data on the phone itself, 512 is also overkill

What iPhone do you recommend for seniors who are on a budget?
Great video!! Thanks! So much for "apple optimization" lol these are definitely major issues especially not being able to use the phone for gaming and filming outdoors when the sun is out.
Apple has definitely some catching up to do I never thought an android phone would seem to be more optimized and reliable but, it actually is because I have both! Very disappointed issue is people don't talk about these major issues and apple seems to be careless about their quality these days
