My CDK2 carbs for my 1997 Kawasaki 750 ZXI have 3 jets rather than 2. Can you tell me how that works? I have a 40 & 72 on the fuel needle inlet side of the plate and a 145 on the back side. Plus I have two of the plastic check valves rather than one. I can't locate a diagram of the 3 jet model online but I was able to get the 2 jet diagram. I love your channel, please continue to educate us newbies.
Where did you get your pressure tester. Is it the same pump that you used for both the diagram and pop off test? I rebuilt my CDK2 just for maintenance and I cannot get it running correctly. I’ve gotten it close with changing the needle valve springs but can’t get tot to run good enough to put it back in the water. It’s a 1992 550sx with pretty low usage. I did do a compression test (I live at 4,000ft above sea level) and it came in at 130psi exactly on both cylinders. Thank you in advance and your video is the best one I’ve found so far.
Hey 2 smoke I got a 900zxi I have been missing with did the carb rebuild and this thing will stall t idle shut down from wot every once and a while it will start back up only if I choke it
QUESTION - I’ve got the same carbs, I’m thinking of buying a rebuild kit, it comes with everything except the needle and seat. Should I worry about that, or do I really need the needle and seat, and also the jet? I feel like the most important part is new gaskets. Also, if the ski will mainly only open up rpms on water if I play with choke, shouldn’t the carb rebuild fix that? Thanks!
The fuel pump pressure measured at 5psi for 10 seconds. If it won't hold any pressure is it a sign that the plastic gaskets are bad or just a gritty pump that needs a rebuild. Thank you.
Great to see you expanding beyond BRP. Nice work. Looks well-done as always.

@@redneck24-65 Keihin kits come with new needles. The seat is permanent.
@@2-smoke what about my other question. You think a rebuild kit should fix it? I would

Could be a sign that gaskets are bad, o-rings are out of spec, old, etc., or the metal sealing surfaces are not true.
Thank you.
What’s the name of your company?
Looking for that plastic low speed metering Collar. Do you have any around.
Sorry I do not.

Where do you source your carb kits from for this Keihin. So many aftermarket ones online. These are OEM?
@@fordltd1983 hello. I get them from a supplier that does not sell directly to consumers. It is an OEM Keihin kit.
@@2-smokeCan both kits be ordered directly from you?
@@loganscarborough9326 part of my whole sale agreement is that I cannot sell these.
@loganscarborough9326 you can buy them direct from hot products or from Atlantic jet sports

What did you use on the fuel pump screws.
I used a security torx bit. Or are you talking about me using synthetic grease on the shanks?
Thanks synthetic grease.
