I'd love to see a basic OEM+ RX-8 engine rebuild including the removal. For those of us who buy a cheap RX-8 that ends up needing more than just a tune up.
A V6 LFX Camaro engine would be something cool to see in an RX-8. Lighter than an LS1, very turbo/supercharger friendly to help keep the RX-8 more nimble than an LS swap. There are kits out there for the RX-8 conversion already. Also interesting, dropping a rotary in a B2000 80s-90s truck to make a slightly more modern REPU. Even crazier would be a Mazdaspeed 3 engine in an RX-8. Get a 2.5 bottom end, bolt the 2.3 to it for extra reliability.
I'd imagine the bounce in the stairs is mostly from the wall side where the tread is suspended by the hinge. You could probably eliminate most of it and greatly increase the load bearing by placing small blocks for the treads to rest against when the stairs are folded down. Of course, the drawback with that is losing the clean aesthetic it provides when it is folded up, but the trade off might be worth it to get the load increase and extended longevity. Overall, cool stuff!
To your question about electrical load, it always depends. A gaming pc graphics card alone can pull over 500 watts now so a pc could use anywhere from 60w for a laptop to 1600w for a full send gaming pc. I ran a dedicated 15 amp circuit to one outlet for my desk but I wanted to never fuss with it again
It's not about what you want to run on the circuit. It's about sizing the breaker to protect the gauge wire you're using. I.e. you want the breaker to trip if there's a fault on the cable and not the cable to heat up/burn and start a fire.

K series and LS family swaps are everywhere, I’d love to see a Volvo T5 in an RX8, light weight good power potential and epic 5 cylinder sounds, if it’s between LS and K, NA LS but an aluminum block 5.3 to keep it light as possible
I would love to see an K-series RX-8. In europe, K-series are easier to get than LS so would love to know what it takes also would like to see you turbo a non turbo FC.
Listen I know it's rad ranch or at least that was the old site before you moved. But we've got the fantasy factory, the freedom factory. I'm thinking this is the Rad factory
K and LS swaps are so overdone I’d love to see either an RB or JZ or even some other inline 6 go into an RX8. But if you’re just planning on selling it afterwards just k swap it.
@@m4xripper Hell, coolant temp monitor, oil temp and pressure monitors.. All things you need regardless of what year you go with. Definitely '06+ minimum as that's when Mazda started fixing the major issues with the 13B-MSP. series 2 from '09 and on are the best bet for out of the box reliability on the Renesis platform. Still lots you can do to improve on those
@@Brandonien I've had two '04s, both GTs with one silver and the other blue. Actually owned the blue one twice when I bought it back from the person I sold it to years later. I've also owned an '07 Shinka and I still currently own my '10 R3. Still though, my RX8 body count pales in comparison to the RX-7 list. Rotary Mazdas are a bad vice.

I would love to see an rx8 engine rebuild from Mr Rad himself.

I feel like it's gonna get really hot in that command center with a simrig and pc running pretty quick

The amount you have accomplished in the past year or so is difficult to comprehend.
Im just getting started :) thank you!!!!
same id love to see an oem+ rx8 engine rebuild start to finish including removal and install
id like to see a miata with a rotary
Hands down the best youtube video I've seen this year! 🙌🏾
K series sound terrible; make chuckles happy and do an LS
FB steering, LSD diff, gearbox, suspension options, upgrades etc. go back to the old school mayne 👌🙌🤙
Ill do it. Just need a space to design and build from.

Graft a 13B into the motorbike of your choice!
I'd like to see you put the hybrid rotary in the rx8 and get it to make big power. Yes, definitely turbo the white one!!!
you need to make a rotary engine coffee table top gear -style up there.
K series and LS family swaps are everywhere, I’d love to see a Volvo T5 in an RX8, light weight good power potential and epic 5 cylinder sounds, if it’s between LS and K, NA LS but an aluminum block 5.3 to keep it light as possible
K24 - na - that revs to 8,000+ RPM!! Then if you need more power do a second smaller build series on adding a SC or turbo.
1800 watts total, and at/below the Amp rating of the breaker.
I like the idea of a k swap rx8 most. For the fc I prefer the look of itb's but turbo world be epic!
Do a 4 Rotor!!! The K swap would be good, but you could do a RB23 Swap!
I would love to see an K-series RX-8. In europe, K-series are easier to get than LS so would love to know what it takes
also would like to see you turbo a non turbo FC.
my long term plan for my rx8 is a turbo rew.. it would be awesome to see it on your channel so when I get to that point I know exactly how to do it...
I’ll be that guy that says make an over engineered pneumatic nutcracker can crusher
Sweet upgrades. Stairs are way rad. (rotary duh)
Good job doc! Come back to DGRR
LFX or K. Personally not interested in LS
REW for rotor option👌
those 2 truss pieces driving me crazy haha. at the very least if it was symetrical
Turbo FC in future video yes then drift it
What generation RX8 would you recommend? I have a chance to get a 1st gen for 500$ no compression. Thanks🎉
K-series, 100%. I'm biased. I don't care about V8s.
Nevermind. I wasn't paying attention, I missed that a REW swap was an option. That's number one, then K-series, then LS.
Rew then k, rather see an rx8 burned before LS swapped
K-series is much cooler than an ls but neither compares to a rotary
REW turbo rx8 as God intended it to be.
Rotary life
ls for sure!
is your shop open to the public if i were needing a rebuild for rx8?
That voice over was on point . Good job . I'm thinking K series, the replacement engine cost is so low you can beat on it more than you would
Agreed, do it and sell it . Then rew reboot rx8 on your green one
Listen I know it's rad ranch or at least that was the old site before you moved. But we've got the fantasy factory, the freedom factory. I'm thinking this is the Rad factory
I like the rad factory
Do a Pontiac G8 3 rotor swap
K swap turbo is the only answer
what about a j swap rx-8, dont see those too often i dont think
Turbo the FC and K swap the RX8.
Rx8 REW
Yes rew green car turbo Ren for buzz
LS!!
LS swap over a K24 all day, everyday. I love high RPM as well, not worth it in this comparison.
I vote K-series because it better fits the rx8 ethos. When most cars get an LS swap they sorta just feel like a corvette in different clothes.
K-Series for sure. The command center is looking sweet!
K and LS swaps are so overdone I’d love to see either an RB or JZ or even some other inline 6 go into an RX8. But if you’re just planning on selling it afterwards just k swap it.
13b rew swap
Put some cheap laminate or hardwood on the floor. It would take it to the next level for not much money…oh, and K swap all the way!
Rotary swap a mk3
None. You don't put anything else than a rotary in a rotary car
ls swap teh rx-8 and turbo the 6-port fc
K series all day
K swap 100%
IF you are gonna do a non rotary swap for the rx-8, you gotta go with an american engine, not another japanese motor.
k swap rx8
Neither K series or LS, it's a crime putting a non-rotary engine in an rx... shame on you ;)
V8 for sure should be a 4.8 LS
LS 🫡

I've had 3 RX-8's in my life, an '04 and an '05 and now a '10 R3.. I'm enjoying your channel so far

Lol. Long live the rip. But I think the turbo k would be acceptable. 😅
K-SERIES!!.. good sir, I must respectfully insist
