Here's an interesting question of the episode for you: What items do you think are perfect or Azazel? My personal favorites are monstro's lung combined with eye of the occult, Jacobs ladder and spoon bender because not only do you get increased range but you also get more brimstone beams and Jacobs ladder helps out immensely with dps
Honestly chocolate milk is kinda funny but also good damage for Azazel, being able to tap fire with him is interesting but kinda helpful. Then of course fully charging it does immense damage

I think that coin purse and booster pack should only be shop items. Since you can buy singular pills/cards in shops it makes sense for booster pack and coin purse to be in the shop for 10 or 15 cents

My ranking is: 1) black (kills everything), 2) bone (most versatile), 3) immortal (gives health but I find it annoying when there’s a bunch of them), 4) red (for devil deals, although I usually prefer to risk it and go Angel), 5) soul (mid but important early game), 6) gold (reaaaaally good in greed mode), 7) rotten (I like bug builds in Isaac but I don’t like how you can get potentially one hit)
1. Bone (who would have thought making a red health refillable soul heart wouldn't be good), 2. Red (so many parts of Isaac use red health) 3. Eternal (equivalent of some items + devil deal protection), 4. Demon (better soul hearts) 5. Soul (classic devil deal protection), 6. Rotten (Risky, but scales really well), 7. Gold (Not bad but needs intentional damage to get maximum value)
9999999. Those scaredy hearts that take hours to catch (they're annoying lol)
I feel like Mom's Coin Purse and Booster Pack would be good Shop items. Coin Purse is essentially one free pill for 15 cents and booster pack is 2 free cards.
Question of the episode: How do you always remember when you are going into the mom's foot boss room and aren't able to back out? I always rush in there accidentally and waste an entire floor.

For your answer about question of the day: I think that items that do very small things (like booster pack) should do 2 small things together, like pageant boy could also be a “money = power” for a secondary stat, like range, or mom’s purse could give you 1/2 soul heart for every pill you eat. This way useless items become better without turning too op, but at the same time they would feel much better than now.

I agree a lot with your take on coin purse, pageant boy and booster pack. They should be chest items. However I do like that there is a chance that you can get worse drops from bosses or devil deals. Sometimes the game should be a bit harder.
I agree that Pageant Boy, Mom's coin purse and Booster pack should be moved to the global item pool so they show up in golden chests. Although with pageant boy specifically, if it were moved to the global item pool, that would basically just make it a worse version of the Quarter (unless you get extremely lucky with what coins it drops).

I think Pageant Boy would be an acceptable item, if it had a very high (like 90%) chance of giving more than 15 coins. It basically would guarantee you can afford a premium item at the last or at the next shop.

After all these dlc i still don’t understand why the course of XL its not just a bigger floor that does not count as 2 floors but as one. So it could just make you lose time.

Question of the episode! : If you had the opportunity to add/create a new boss to the game, how would he be called, and what would be his/her abilities?
Man, they gotta buff experimental treatment. My idea would be that maybe it activates every floor, but it removes one of the minuses from previous floors, so you'd slowly grow in power. Mom's pills should definetly be all positive pills. Pageant boy should maybe get some hp up added to it's existing effect. Booster pack is irredeemable.

Rather than removing those 3 items from boss pools, do you think treating them like bomb upgrades and adding a pill, coin, or card synergy or ect would fix those items? And if so what synergy would you add to those items?

SATURDAY SUMMARY TODAY!
"This is what it looks like when the game doesn't want to be played."
Literally some of the best starting stats we've ever seen, especially with Squeezy. Good starting stats turned into great overall stats thanks to some bangers like Cricket's Head, Binky, and Small Rock. What is absolutely awful is TWO CONSECUTIVE Curse of the Labyrinth floors. That denied us a lot of Devil Deals, though it did let us speedrun to Boss Rush, which gave us Hallowed Ground. That's a silver lining... We followed up shortly thereafter with freakin Twisted Pair, as well as Eye of Belial, and those two just carried the rest of the run.
Not too much to say on Jastonator53's Repentance Eden Run Dunk Rating, we've just got ourselves a good run... minus two XL floors. We were powerful, but not crazy. Just relaxed and went through the motions. I'm calling that a 7.

That's giving us a weekly average of 6.5, definitely one of the lower ones we've seen in recent memory! We had a couple of great runs, but we had some REAL bad ones too. Bum Friend is banned from my game.
Yknow, you bring a good point about devil deal items. It just has to be kinda mid for it to not be taken. bobby and Maggie both are ALWAYS worth less than the heart and if they at least an item like bobs head it would be takable in certain situations

Pageant Boy could be improved by increasing the rate of Lucky Penny or Carion Coin. But for it to be a Boss item; I feel that it should do way more, like guaranteeing Stores with two premium items of quality 2 or higher and/or stores after the womb.
Hey sin question what is better low damage but good tears or high damage but low tears?
I think to buff pagaent boy it should give you 7 coins after every boss and be a weaker version of candy heart and soul locket giving small stat ups per coin grabbed

Pageant boy would be a lot better if it acted like Mr Dolly and all the coins had a very high chance to drop as higher value coins, and also if it had a stat up with it.

While for the QOTD, I typically agree with Sinvicta, as his knowledge of the game and his experience with the game is unbridled, but I do personally disagree, I think having purposefully bad Items in Item Pools makes a lot of sense gameplay wise, looking past the flavor of the game, BB and SM as familiars in a devil deal making sense, having the Necronomicon, etc. I think the parity makes it so you can adapt around certain scenarios. One of Sinvictas lines is that Isaac doesn't reward you for good or bad gameplay, but I think there's Validity to that being an option, I think not making every run based on upgrading stats and using items that are "bad" brings what makes Isaac fun as a game as a whole. Without Bad Items, Isaac Becomes boring, not saying it would be any more or less challenging, but more so the parity that no one run is alike.

5a and 5b are looking at each other very confused, startled even. Cinco starts whining and tucks his tail while crawling under the seats. The train starts speeding up, the landscape, only illuminated by the moon and some stars, gets blurrier with every second. The Stranger continues to stare at them, almost captivating them with his eyes, while still getting louder and louder. The lights in the compartment start to flicker, it even feels like it is getting colder and as if the air gets thicker. The Stranger begins to rise, but just as he's about to fully stand up, a sharp, ringing noise cuts through the chanting for just a fraction of a second, and he collapses back onto his seat. The lights go back on, and even the moon seems to be a little bit calmer. Neither 5a nor 5b are daring to speak as they inspect the person sitting opposite. His back seems to be unnaturally straight, his shoulders tight and tense, only his head dangles lifeless, his chin touching his chest. At least that's what 5a suspects - the brim of the hat covers most of the strangers upper body, protective, maybe defensive even.
And yes, his name is just "The Stranger" 😅 for the first time I actually already have an idea of where this is going for tomorrow, the last days I've actively prevented myself from thinking about the upcoming numbers to not spoil myself, and I definitely realize that I'm seeing the numbers through my story writing and comic planning lens, but that's okay - just messing around within a context and visualizing the numbers as spines, lines of actions or hat brims is fun in itself, even tho I usually don't let my synesthesia work this way but more unbiased 😅
