Honestly, this direction he’s going in is very refreshing. Yes it’s quite different from his last album, but change is good, it allows an artist to be diverse. Take for instance John Mayer, he said he didn’t want to be known as a pop star his whole career and changed his style to rock, soul, and even a bit of country. This change James Bay is doing is good 👍🏻 I can’t wait until he finally releases his whole album

I was expecting more like he had done before and this kinda threw me but after listening to it a few times, I'm in love! It's smooth and it's sexy, it's so good. Yes! New songs always take a couple listens to get used to them, but eventually they catch on. It IS smooth and sexy! hahaha His smooth vocals in the undertone of the song are just fantastic. Also, the last chorus where he's singing the loudest is so freaking good! I love what you said, letting go of expectations can really open up your mind to new things.

I never thought much of this song until I was at a fireworks show with my 5 year old son a year ago. It was one of the last times I saw him, he lives with his mother thousands of miles away, on the other side of the world.. now the song is bittersweet. Brings back great and also painful memories.
