- Hello everyone and welcome to my first video of 2017! This one is a little different - I'm going to show you all of my Trackmaster sets and engines in this huge layout video. Don't worry - I'll be returning to my classic Thomas Wooden Railway videos here soon. :)

I got the bridge jump for my 5 year old son, and I actually love it. I think it's rather witty. He has two other sets and I have put them together for him as one big set and he likes it. He would LOVE how you have it set up! I wish I had all the pieces you do. He would be in heaven. He has autism and he jumps around the sets when I put them up and laughs. It's awesome.
That track layout is very impressive. You remind me of myself today when I build layouts. The sad part is that I can't build layouts in my apartment because the more track I get, the less space. I solved that problem very easy by asking my landlord if I can build layouts in the big basement, he agreed but when I'm done, I have to clean it up and take it apart. I made a beautiful massive layout that my landlord asked me if I sale it to him for $500. It was a big offer, but I said no because I spend over a $1000 on the trackmaster. Overall great layout and keep on the trackmaster.

You should make the ThomasTrackmasterRailway a thing. A variety is always a good thing. Even if it doesn't work, it's just a great way for you to kick back and just film something without creating strain on your body.

This is amazing. It really.shows that the models have personality. Especially diesel. I like when you said Great job Percy, great job Edward, Good job Mike, oh! Thomas! Ah Spencer and diesel are just being troublesome. Great
The engines do have personalities. Some run on the rails really well and others are troublemakers that are looking to cause crashes!

Yes, that's a good point! Each of the engines takes two triple-A batteries so...15 engines running x 2 batteries + 2 extra batteries for Luke's remote = 32 batteries total! :O

I love it
about 39:25. My Flynn is a notorious trouble causer. He jumps switches ALL the time. Other problem causers are James (bridges and hills), Emily (Switches), and Toby (weird or sharp curves). SteelWorks Thomas and Demolition Thomas can also be troublesome at times especially with speed and trying to pair them with other engines but they really just like to cause issues! Victor’s buffer length means he sometimes has issues going uphill. Helpful Harvey simply doesn’t fit under most things! The Wood Chipper car that came with him is a notorious issue that slows every engine down not the least of which is Phillip the engine I assigned to it (I assign cars to engines based on color)!
Very impressive, would have been a huge jigsaw to put together. Yep TM2 do love to derail, and it's very difficult to get lots of flat standard track. TM2 has tons of specialized track parts that unsettle me much. That Bridge Jump set struggled to sell where I live and the price was dumped from $150 to $50. At $50 it makes for an awesome cheap track pack where I live. You have brought up a very important point, it's very difficult to re-custom the specialized playsets, thats very unlike classic trackmaster or the classic TOMY sets. Mattel isn't doing too well up against the free iPad apps and popular UA-cam videos. I wonder if Mattel will attempt to key into the income from people showing their toys. We are in a time where children will watch a toy being played with much like a spectator sport. I see this with my children. It saves me from needing to buy the toy. Thats where Mattel are losing out!

Hey, Keekre. I was in my local Toys R Us last weekend just to browse and look around for no reason and I was enthralled by one particular set. I think it’s supposed to be the SteelWorks from JBS, It’s a huge and expensive set and it comes with. think about 3 or so RC engines! I was wondering if you had purchased it or would consider purchasing it. I would love to see it in your TrackMaster vids in a couple months!
I only have the Tidmouth Bridge set, and 2 multi-layout sets (the starter one that comes in the bucket and the one with the Mountain tunnel, plus one of each of the 3 Track accessory packs. and Just yesterday I was able to build an impressive totally fresestyle layout that used all the track right down to some unusuable pieces (such as the single hill and pesky special connected pieces from the set with the Mountain Tunnel), plus some exra curves and straits I might have kept building had I not run out of switches and suitable places to connect loops. I had all 13 of my engines (including 5 Tender Engines and 2 Learning Curve era engines) plus my dozen or so cars (nor counting tenders) running yesterday just fine with little issue-all at once with 4 other people helping me! I have played the trains so much to this point that yesterday they all had full batteries and most are now super-slow or weak. Enough rambling but I was inspired to freestyle both by frustrating issues last time all 3 Sets were connected and built AND by Keekre’s comment
Great video Keekre! Glad someone finally said something about how these are for kids and thus won't meet older fans' demands. People tend to ignore me when I try to say that, so I'm glad someone who actually matters has finally addressed it.

HarwickBranchLineStudios The problem isn't that. It's the fact that thwy completely screwed over parents and older fans by forcing them to start all over again, buying all the same characters with different designsand new track, and making this new line completely incompatible with anything older, respectively. As for the shoddy designs, reuse of the same chassis, cheaper and flimsier plastic, and the lack of actual Sodor-like locations, people believe kids deserve better. The engines are far easier to break now, and that means that parents will have to spend more money on replacements. And if someone wanted a Hot Wheels stunt set, they'd buy just that, not a train.

My god what nostalgia.
Modern Trackmaster is just not for me. I miss the days of 1985-2004 where the merchandise was good and tried to be realistic instead of having a silly marketing gimmick. I wish we still got items such as stations, cranes or bridges instead of some gimmicky, overpriced unrealistic item. Times do change, I think we all took the older days of merchandise for granted.
I am a growing Trackmaster fan, I am buying more engines than track because i live in a small apartment with 4 other people and 2 free-wandering dogs! I have 11 engines. a broken non-working James that appears to be by Tamaka Tomy as we also have some old track from that company, I am not quite sure what a Japanese line was doing in American stores but anyway he broke years ago.
I have Lady and Ben from the Learning Curve era and Emily, Gordon, Edward, James, 2 Thomases, Toby, and Percy from the current era. car wise i have 3 cargo cars and 2 boxcars from the current era and 1 troublesome truck and 1 boxcar from either Tomy or Learning Curve.
Trackwise I have the 5 in 1 starter set that comes in the small bucket with a lid that can be used for building as such i call it the "lid set", I have Tidmouth Bridge, and finally i the Up and Around Mountain set which i have found frustrating, confusing, and difficult to buold as well as space-taking
This is a new thing to me other than having had Lady, Ben, and the broken Tomy James for years. I acquired Toby, Gordon, and James around last August. I recieved Edward, Tidmouth Bridge, and the "lid set" last Christmas. I got Emily and Percy as previously earned rewards last January, I also bought 1 Thomas with my own money as a replacement for a Christmas Gift. The day after i got Thomas and Percy i unexpectedly got the Up and Around Mountain set when my Mom bought it for me (she is an impulse buyer) I was surprised and hadn't even asked since in all honesty Mom doesn't quite understand or get my recently developed Thomas obsession-come on i am an Autistic, obsessive 20 year old!.
On another note I am a huge Keekre24 fan and a massive fan of the TWRC in general I am thrilled that Keekre has ventured into something i can relate to and it is giving me the scoop on what is really out there! and BTW i have the annoying issue of trains jumping or falling off track and because i have bad joints i need a second person to help with trains beyond my reach on my widespread layout whenever all three sets are assembled and connected which is every time i get them out. I also have trouble with switches getting bumped amd rains of different speeds running into each other and wrecking, Lady and Ben are restricted to the "lid set" because of their inability to climb hills. I am looking to purchase more cars for the next. couple purchases and maybe some coaches like Annie, Clarabel, and Henrietta-come on! i have 2 Thomases and Toby! I am unsure bout the road vehicles because they are a little higher priced I think Bertie is cheapes though. I have a question are Skiff, Harold, and the other water and air vehicle battery-powered? if so how to they work? They seem awfully small.

Haha, not right now I won't. I'm not planning on doing any future videos regarding the TrackMaster merchandise line unless I end up getting some more engines and sets. Then I'll probably just do an updated version of this type of video.
You should really do that when your wooden railway videos are on that long break. I also had tons from the 3 eras of this brand but I sold them.

ThomasWoodenRailway Did you know that the TrackMaster Sodor's Legend Of The Lost Treasure set had two different styles? You have the US version and I have the UK version! The UK version was a lot smaller and the track going up to the 360 turn is not as long! I also have the secondary TOTB set! In Australia and America,there was an exclusive version that had a hay bail and the scrap monster! Also congratulations on 80000 Subscribers!

When I do a trackmaster layout, I don't use all my thomas's at the same time.
Trackmaster, at least the current version, seems like the kind of toy that looks stupid and gimmicky, but once you see it running its actually kind of cool, got any recommendations for a starter set? I might get int to collecting this stuff (I've almost bought Flying Scotsman like 4 times despite not owning any trackmaster stuff)
I used to think the new TrackMaster stuff was absolute scrap but honestly it's a nice cheap toy to treat yourself to. For a starter set, I would recommend either the Breakaway Bridge set, Close Call Cliff set, or the Tidmouth Expansion Pack. And the Flying Scotsman would look great on all of those sets! :)

To tell you the truth Mattel didn't need to change their franchise, I know it's been 3 years since it came out and I'm still complaining about it but I wish that tomy or the early HIT toys trackmaster could have stayed a little bit longer. 😒
I agree. There was nothing wrong with the old TrackMaster engines and sets, but it was simply a case of somebody wanting to save a little bit of money that lead to this drastic redesign of the entire franchise.
Remember when Thomas play sets were just a simple loop or perhaps a mini layout? Not a huge structure that includes Thomas nearly ‘dying’ ? (Such as almost getting scrapped, almost getting burned, almost drowned...)

When I had the breakaway bridge I always have is two set of tracks under the bridge when the train goes through and I had a novel that go on the breakaway bridge to re-create a crash and I had a James with it too

Trust me, I have Wooden Railway, but I have WAY more motorized than wooden. It’s so fun watching you getting used to not pushing the trains! That’s the way its been for my whole life! You should get some of the older things online like TOMY. I’d like to see you do a comparison between now and the past. Keep making amazing videos! Love your work!
To be honest, seeing and hearing your thoughts about TrackMaster 2.0 is quite fascinating. I will say, these engines truly do have their own personalities when it comes to running.
Given that I've been in the line for years (started with TOMY USA, TAKARA TOMY, and HiT Toys TrackMaster), I find it quite refreshing and unique to hear your thoughts about the new line and sets. It is quite sad that the sets seemed to be designed around Thomas rather than all engine compatibility.
I can help you out with your Flynn and Emily, if you like. I've had stripped screws before (I have plenty of extras as well to cope with it), and I can probably troubleshoot what's wrong with Emily.

I have to get to wondering, At the end of the video when you turn on the Bridge Jumping Thomas. You said you had to manually reset ot-whichnis true. Hiwever once you walk away to return to showing off the rest of the engines. Thomas keeps on running no issue, is there an unseen person in the background resetting the bridge jump elevator while you walk ariund filming and talking?
