Seeing Enchanted Lakes in the background while listening to your exquisite playing brings back many memories of backyard luaus from years ago. thank you for sharing.
We've spent time in the Enchanted Lake neighborhood for years, but this is our first time to spend time on the lake itself. Our visit here has been one of those lifetime memories. Fran
I've been tracking those dovetail 000-16s on Ebay and such, stateside they go between $1-1.5K. OM-18Vs like mine are $1.5-2K and a bit more rare. I like the wider neck and saddle of the OM-18V, but for folks who like 1 11/16 of the 000-16 is hard find on a long scale scalloped brace dovetail neck Martin. Fran
We exchanged bands but as my weight went up and down the complicated design made resizing impractical and I gave up. My sweetie went to a simpler ring and I went bare. Fran
I've heard that Bill Monroe was inspired by hearing a recording of Pua Lilia. I was really disappointed that the Ken Burns country music doc didn't touch on the profound influence of Hawaiian music on country. Fran
@@franguidry By the early 1920s, upwards of 50% of recorded music was Hawaiian genre. hi there! do you Record with the zoom h peaking at -12db and later eq the track on a daw? or do you Record directly at a higher level without post processing?
I try to keep my levels on the conservative side and then adjust in post. I have found that trying to record at a hotter level is risky, especially if I'm using a guitar pickup directly into the H6. Fran
I love you Fran and miss you and your beautiful talented wife!! God bless you always!!🥰😘🤗😎🤩

@ 4:11 a beautiful tune and a gorgeous, if somewhat shy smile. I don't see a wedding band Mr. Guidry..... :D

Great job, Fran! You can sing "Kentucky Waltz" to the same chords....
