The pulled pork was delicious and so tender! I used a pork roast that was bone-in (about 2.5 pounds), so I ran out before trying the third recipe (the pork burrito bowl). But we didn't mind because after two dinners and leftovers for lunch from the other two recipes, we were ready to move on from the pork. It was about 8 servings total that fed my husband and I for half the week. Will definitely use the pulled pork slow cooker recipe for future pork recipes!
Awesome ideas!!!
Love your videos. They are so helpful.
Thank you so much, Amber!
I have pulled pork that I froze but I don't have any hamburger buns for it. Your 3 options are perfect.
The recipes look great. I'm totally steeling that zucchini recipe. Thanks!
Wonderful recipes, lovely hairstyle as well!
Thank you so much, Daria!
I use bone in and when the meat is done, I just grab the bone and it slides right out. Not sure why that is harder than using boneless.
This looks great. As soon as I think it's safe to go to a store that sells these cuts of meat, I'm going to try this. (written during the COVID-10 U.S. pandemic.)
Does your store not carry pork shoulder? I haven't had an issue during the pandemic?
Albersons bought our Luckys and then closed it. FINALLY, after MUCH encouragement from the neighborhood, Trader Joe's opened in 1/3 of the space (Walgreens in the other 2/3.) I love Trader Joe's and they are doing a very good job of keeping everybody safe from the novel coronavirus.
But their meat selection is tiny and not family-friendly. (And their hamburger is weird. Barely-ground and tightly-packed together. Maybe that's European style?)
Love this channel!! And love your kitchen. But a 2# pork roast by the time you remove fat would be 1 dinner with maybe a lunch or two leftover for my family of 4 ;) I know I've commented this before but would love some higher yield recipes without having to make 2 roasts in 2 crockpots
Depending on the size of your pork shoulder, you will get between 4-8 cups of shredded pork. 1/2 cup of pulled pork is one serving. If you are getting one dinner from a pork shoulder, I think your serving sizes are on the larger size. 1 full cup of pulled pork will have around 440 calories, which is why I like to stretch it out with lots of veggies over multiple meals.
If you get a large pork shoulder (3.5-4 lbs), you should be able to get 16 1/2 cup servings from it. Hope this helps!
@@SweetPeasSaffron thanks for replying but I would have to disagree. 440 calories even with lots of veggies is barely enough calories for dinner for growing boys!! I know from other moms with older kids we are not alone. Thanks for your content though but I have learned with cleaner eating you have to eat more and calories don't matter if you are still hungry! This is something I am very passionate about. Eat good clean food and you have to eat more!!
Hope you are doing fine in all,of this
Thanks Charmaine! We are well, hope you are too!
