      Hi sis... I've been trying to proceed with my application on Lesson Plan part, but it stated that my words should be 200 minimum while it the limit is 300... My words each section is 248, 231 etc... Is there any tip I can do to sort this out? 😭🙏

    Hi! This was very helpful! Question, When’s the best time to apply?

    • @seoul_mates
      @seoul_mates  28 днів тому +1

      I would say for spring intake, August-October and for fall intake February-April! the earlier the better because it give you more time to prepare everything but applications stay open for awhile so no need to rush either 😊

      as long as you submit your diploma in time you should be fine! I believe they ask to have documents around 6 weeks before your arrival in Korea but sometimes they extend it for people! just make sure you can get your diploma asap from your school because it will need to be notarized and apostiled too

    Can you share how/where you guys got a criminal background check? I live in Texas and i see so many options, but not sure which is legit or epik programs before? Do you suggest I just apply and worry about documents later or get them before..?

      I’m from the states as well and I just got my fingerprints done at my local police station for about $10! then I applied directly through the FBI’s website. Finally, I had my apostile done by Monument Visa. I know plenty of people did theirs through Acute Biometrics, but there wasn’t a fingerprinting location near me at the time. The whole process does take awhile but they’re only valid for 6 months so make sure it’d be valid for your entry into Korea

      @@seoul_mates god bless yall, thank you. One more question!!i was a little confused on the suggestion on when i should begin collecting the documents.. after i get accepted (assuming i do) or even now before i start anything despite having a fixed date as to when i’ll go?

    Does your TEFL/TESOL need to be apostilled as well? Mine is from the UK (I'm from the US) and I don't want to send it out to the UK if I don't have to. Thank you for this video!

      I don’t believe so! You just have to submit the final certificate at least 6 weeks before your contract start as far as I remember. I also got mine from a UK company even though I’m from the US and everything was fine 😊

    About the letters of recommendation...I was thinking of asking an old professor and my supervisor from my previous job. I graduated in 2019 and I left my previous job in 2023. I was hoping to avoid asking my current employer because I thought it would be weird and unprofessional? I guess I didn't know they asked for recommendations from specific people. What should I be doing?

    • @seoul_mates
      @seoul_mates  3 місяці тому +1

      it’s up to you at the end of the day but I don’t think it’s unprofessional at all to ask you current employer!! I got both of mine from current jobs at the time. you’ll have to let them know at some point that you’re leaving and I think most bosses respect you being honest and letting them know sooner rather than later
