I was the 30th woot woot! Love the game. Looks like it just rolled out of the factory. So glad I went with TNT for my 1st machine. Will be back JACK! Tyvm
Grast video. Played RK when it first csme out and it was my first pin when I started collecting. Still play it regularly and always go back to it. It’s as reliable as you say with normal maintenance and much more so than my later Sys11 games!
was watching the movie 'Trucks', based off of Stephen King's story of the same name (and some know it as Maximum Overdrive lol) and happened to catch it early on in the movie; good stuff all around X3
I've got two questions! 1) What bulbs are you using for the flashing ones in the backglass? I kinda like that effect, and if the game was designed to use flashing bulbs like that, then I may have to get some for myself. 2) How do you manage to get the ramp to stay up? I have a problem on mine that causes the ramp to drop down when a ball gets into the pop bumpers. The system detects the ramp is down and puts it back up, but it's annoying to have it constantly going up and down all the time. Thanks!
My Grandpa's had a Road Kings table (and a few others) in his basement for as long as I can remember. The thing is kinda beat up, he's played it a lot. The other day, he was turning it on because I wanted to play it, and he was playing a round first to give it a test. Then he says, "hmmm, I think this needs a flipper kit." And I'm standing there thinking, really? It needs a lot more then just a flipper kit! Anyways, I really wish I had the money to get it properly fixed up for him, god knows it will take him years to even consider doing it himself!
I fried my Road Kings by plugging in the black connector to the white connector of the same size because I was rushing to set it up. it was dark and I was just feeling around inside to connect it. I fried the cpu and I really can't believe I did it, because I should know better. Help!!
Yes....its certainly a Mad Max look--like Centaur also! Williams frequently used sounds from machine to machine...the theme was always different though.
Beautiful overhaul and incredible sounds. The classic soundtrack on this machine is fabulous.

My favorite William's pinball machine.
A good choice!
We had this machine whenI was younger and I thought it was called road rings, Ive been looking forward to this video!
I Like "Road Rings" ! I will use that name on our next one we do!
The K looks a little like an R! I hope you do another one soon. I'd love to hear it called that lol!

Just in case someone finds this comment would guess they’re #455 blinkers.
I regularly played this around 1991 to 1993
I'm moving and I can't get through the doorway, how do I take the back off
Todd, what is the going rate for a Road Kings pinball machine?
Grand Lizard also defaults to German, so i guess it was some System 11 deal.
How much are your machines
Nearly all sound effects reused from HIGH SPEED ;)...

That could be a series of gifts to him over the next few years...rubber kit first, flipper kit second, etc
What is the average lifespan of a 63 lightbulb?
In a private home, probably for several years. Used commercially, a few months. Shorter than the 89 bulbs, but these were much brighter.
Does every game that doesn't have a sticker get one when sold? That's an awesome idea.
We put them on the pinball machines.
Just picked one up the other day, heck I maybe even might retheme to MAD MAX lol.
:-)

+cutsalot Yes...that does tons of damage...we all have....board will cost $$$ to fix for sure.
I hope it's just the board.
This is sorta like, "We really want the Mad Max licence but Mel Gibson won't sell it us." Looks fun though. Has sounds taken from High Speed as well.

7:31 L.O.L. :D
Yes...many remember that knocker sound when first turned on!
Sounds like they took the sound track from Robotron
yes...it does have some of those sounds!
I'm trying to sell my Road Kings pinball machine, anybody interested?
How much
getting high on the HOG tonight! I flipped this in the 90s
