Same with me. Mr. SST.....I love your deadpan wittiness. Dry comedy is a favorite of mine and is very much appreciated right now, in these most interesting of times......
I live in the US and I’m so interested in watching your videos, being able to see Mt Fuji in the distance is absolutely stunning!! I love the different ways of overnight travel, my favorites are the overnight Ferry! Thanks for sharing!💕
In my old apartment, to increase room, i turned my double bed into a cabin bed (only cost about £40 to do). It was so cosy up there, just enough room that i could sit upright if i slouched. Underneath i put a hammock because it turned out i didn't need that much extra room, it made a perfect reading spot. Then I used a blanket on the cabin bed frame, so the hammock was separated from the rest of the room, it was nice and quiet. It was so cosy, i'll probably do it again when I can afford my own place (lol yeah right).
I am sorry but I had to laugh when you said why isn’t anything shutting off and then you were in total darkness😂😂 I enjoyed riding the train with you in spirit and I liked looking out during the ride at night - thank you for sharing this latest adventure 😊👍💕
I'm guessing the shadow from the hanger is because the hanger is always there, and sunlight has progressively faded the wooden panel where the hanger wasn't blocking the sunlight.
Yes, this is it. I had the same thing happen at my house where my mom had a mat at the sliding glass door. The sun always shone through the window in the afternoon, and eventually the rest of the floor there got lighter, but there was a big rectangle of darker floor when you pick the mat up. lol
Thats the first time Im seeing the train coupling..😁. Like your cute & funny captions, always making me smile. Thank you for uploading this video! Look forward for your next video..😊
Only in Japan 🇯🇵 is there a Let’s-clean-for-the-next-person button 🚨. This is one of the most INFORMATIVE (down to tips you didn’t think to ask but later find out were CRITICAL for enjoyable trip). While you’re talking in the tips offered in this video, you’re falling off your chair, laughing from the unexpected humor. I’m a loyal subscriber.
Honestly, the nobi nobi berths are super anxiety inducing, and it kinda seems like sleeping directly on the floor. I'd shell out extra for the private room.
@@robertschnobert9090 Nobi Nobi berths are sleepers, with only a layer of carpet for a mattress, and no curtain between the berths, only at the foot. There's a bit of wall between them, at the window end, and that's it.
But can someone take a foam or inflatable sleeping mat type thing with them? Apart from EDS, I could probably stay in one, I would probably be in massive pain after. But apart from that, I don’t think it would bother me. Though…I definitely would go for a room/berth type thing. I can get a bit overwhelmed by having so many people around me all of the time. I used to teach and after work I always needed them to relax, let all the ‘business’ of the day go. What I couldn’t sleep in is one of those train seats that turns into a bed, people’s bottoms & bum crack sweat & 💨 on it, then put my face against that? Pillow and sheets wouldn’t calm me at all 🤢
The word ‘dibs’ is usually used as ‘I get dibs on chocolate’ or ‘I dib first turn on the water slide’. TBH, I don’t know if that’s uk wide, region, county, town or city, area, but certainly where I live in northern England
For those kinds of showers the best approach would be what I know as navy showers: spray on just enough to get wet, turn off, lather up, and finally rinse off.
Great video! All you're trying to do is get from point A to point B cheaply. I'll take the train over walking and sleeping on the ground in the cold and rain. Nice room! I like it 😃
Greetings from America. I only found your channel recently so I’m starting from your oldest videos and making my way through to the newer stuff. I love your channel! You make me laugh out loud and are totally honest. The recess guy; who didn’t know one of those? The pagoda at sunset that we missed in the last video,, or maybe 2 ago, was SO what I would do. Please keep going. You have a gift.
There is a "shadow" of the hanger on the wall since that part gets lots of sunlight and it has faded the part that was not covered by the hanger over the years. The shadow is what the color used to be.
Ingenious design to put one bed above another yet the beds are in separate rooms. Most train bunk beds in other countries would just dump 2 strangers in the same room.
Watching your informative and interesting video on Christmas Eve. So beautiful and clean everything is. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us ALL. You are absotively awesome
I laughed so many times. I really like your lines and u are very funny. Btw the shower time feels so pressured that only 6 mins you have to finish all the showering
Why isn't anything turning off? *Flick the lower button and turns the room into a black void **Panicc** But i want to experience that, just laying down in total darkness, gentle sounds of the train wheels and dim moonlight, that's some relaxing stuff
The JR PASS is a rail pass the can be used by FOREIGN VISITORS! It gives you access to almost all JR trains including the Shinkansen and the Nobi nobi seats. Hope that answers your question!
I really enjoy your videos. I think this one felt rushed and the captions sometimes went too fast. Also, no food in this one! I was hoping for an Eminem or something. Please, more food stuff too! Thanks!
The shadow is stuck to the wall because that wall is exposed to the sun all day. The radiation from the sun bleached the entire wall, except where the coat hanger was. LOL. Also this is a very nice video. These trains look so good. Are you traveling for business or for fun?
Love your humour, always makes for an entertaining perspective. Can you lock the room from outside? Whilst you shower you don't want to take everything with you? Tallest Mountain after losing the war, did it shrink? 😲
What was the tallest mountain in Japan _before_ losing the war? Are you counting Kenci in Sumatra or something on the mainland of China? Also, you seem to be the only Japan Travel channel to employ humor. I appreciate that, the others just make travel seem lonely.
Yushan in Taiwain is taller and was technically the tallest mountain within Japanese territory until they lost sovereignty over Taiwan at the end of WW2. The Japanese called it Niitakayama, meaning "new high mountain."
You are the funniest of all the Japan Travel people I watch.
I'm glad to hear that! Thanks again for your comment!
I agree 👏
Completely agree 💯
Agree haha 😂
Twin room is the funniest video for me

So carefully folded up his pajamas and towel to carry to the shower. Nice .

man I love such cramped, cave like spaces. I'd honestly love to live in a train like this :D
If there was a chance to live in a train, It'd be the best day for train enthusiasts. It's like a dream lol.
Idk why but these kinda spaces always make me feel great. I loved Harry potters room from the first couple movies
you def not my soulmate

It was funny how quick the crowd moved after watching the coupling. "Got to get on the train". That's an interested trip. I'd like to try it.
I think by saying “withdraw in their defeat” you might be better served by waging “wallowing in their sorrow” or “brood over a coke”

I liked the dinky tune when the trains arrived. 🎶😂
Let the coupling begin! Reminds me of my honeymoon... 😲

As would I. Nobi Nobi berths are not an option for me due to my anxiety. Single sleeper all the way.

Yes, another trip with Sunrise Express. That train coupling moment is amazing. 12:45 tallest mountain in Japan since losing the war? I don't get it.
When Japan still had control over Taiwan the tallest Japanese mountain was Jade mountain (yushan(niitakayama))

Everything is so clean!
The upper berth looks so much better to me than the lower, i wonder if they are the same price?
