- With Marvel's Spider-Man 2 just 2 weeks away from now, I've been working on a series of videos dedicated to the villains from the game series.
Starting with the antagonist from Miles Morales, Phin Mason A.K.A The Tinkerer! Phil was a villain I slowly appreciated the more I replayed the game. She was an extremist whose rage caused her to almost lose herself until she realized the damage her goal was bringing to everyone and especially to Miles. She's a lot like Otto but not as much of a lost cause. Wanted this video to showcase the tragic nature of her character and her relationship with Miles.
The next two videos will be on Mr Negative and Doctor Octopus. and then afterwords I'll announce a special side project I'll be working on come the 20th of Oct.
(Also I know I said The Leader was next, but for now he'll be postponed.}
Anyways I hope you guys enjoy this video and I'll see you for the next one hopefully this Friday.

Yeah I basically played and recorded my gameplay without music so I can do a better job with the audio work here.

I like the video a lot. But her character is really hard to sympethize for. All I can say is that everything connected to Tinkerer in this game was rushed.

Yeah I know I’ll be in the minority when it comes to her character but I enjoyed how human she felt.
nice video, though i don't think her character is perfect, like how in my opinion it seemed like her turn in personality at the end was a bit too rushed, i did like her a lot, i found her distrust with miles to be a pretty compelling conflict with the responsibility of being spiderman, the finale of the game was pretty cool too, looking forward to the other videos!

Thank you and I don’t think her personality shift at the end was rushed. Phin clearly sees that Miles was telling the truth and realizes the mistake she made in pursue of revenge. Feels consistent since Phin isn’t necessarily a bad person but a deeply hurt extremist.
@@MichaelHarlan1999 oh my bad, the end was a wrong way of wording it, I mean like after she stabs rhino, I thought her turn to "I hate you" was a bit too sudden, I think the ending fits in perfectly within her character

Yeah at first I thought it was abit sudden but replaying it I can see why that happened. At that point in the game Phin was not only frustrated with Miles constantly lying (in her perspective) and getting in her way despite multiple times telling him to “look the other way”
It’s after Rhino’s taunting does she reach her boiling point, going as far as to try and kill Rhino.
Her threatening Miles is her done being nice about telling him to stay out of the way, and even then at the end the line “Don’t make me kill you, you can’t win! Why do you keep fighting?” Is her still begging him to stop before it gets worse.
@@MichaelHarlan1999 yeah, i think that phin is pretty understandable, but idk it still does feel kind of rushed, i was trying to think of how to say how i feel on it but i couldn't really fit a bunch of pieces together so nevermind lol, maybe i'm just picky, like i said i still like her character a bunch and i do understand why she would be so upset with miles, but something there just doesn't quite feel natural, something leading up to the ending just kind of feels rushed. man i wish i could explain it better but i'm sort of getting a headache trying to articulate my thoughts lol, so anyway i think she's a pretty solid antagonist but not quite perfect, which i dont think is a bad thing
