@@UgriArcher Watching it again on a bigger screen. Made me think, you did some really good shooting in the dark, whilst blinded by having a bright flame in your face.
@UgriArcher I was well impressed when you hit the patch of hay. Perfect parabolic flight in the dark with a flaming ball of fire two feet away from your face. And the sound. Like a meteor flying through the sky.
Heheh! Yes indeed. Every spring I actually find lots of my arrows and arrow parts from the yard. And I'm sure some will still remain for future archeologists to discover ;)
Yes, that is an important point to realize. It doesn't burn even when drawn very close to the hand. The heat tends to raise up, so the hand approaching the flame from the side or beneath is quite ok.
Kiitos.
Yep, they aren't, but still fly surprisingly well where intended. Moreover, the flame also blocks ones sight quite effectively so this requires truly instinctive shooting.
@@UgriArcher Did you really hit both targets first time, or did it take a few takes? :D And yeah, a flaming torch in your face is really going to mess up your night vision. You can see why these if used as weapons were used mostly when the battle was already won. Setting fire to the thatch... not a gentleman's weapon at all!
The sound of these loosing and flying is amazing 😃
Your reenactments are top notch. It is a pleasure to wach the process ans the reaults! Thank you! That was amazing!
Thank you very much. With the time and effort put into these, it's really great to hear that the content is truly appreciated.
Man. The sound those fire arrows make is just amazing. Great content. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks! And yes, the sound is really something. It surprised me too.

Yep, it's not easy to aim with a flaming arrow.

Watching all your videos over the years, from France. In a thousand years, people will dig the lake and wonder what kind ot battles happened here.

Tämä idea pitää lisätä arsenaaliini Hyvää joulua ja tulevaa uuttavuotta 🎉
Hienoa että inspiroi, ja samaten hyvää joulua!
Just awesome Sami!
Thank You.
I thought it would actually burn the archers hand and so couldn't be drawn fully but you proved otherwise bravo.

Superb, your channel is amazing.
nice video!
Didn't expect birch bark to burn so well that these could stay burning in flight without additional fuel; very cool!
Very cool!
Great experiment! Interesting to watch, as always!
Thank you!
So much more accessible than hand forged arrowhead traps filled with obscure alchemical kindling. I salute you sir >>>----------------->
The sound the arrows make as they are loosed would be terrifying to hear if one was on the receiving end.
Cool fire toy🎆Happy New Year!
Happy new year to you too. We celebrate it with a bit of different kind of fire works in this video. :)
how magnificent!
This is amazing 😮
Wow 😄
Video games could learn from this
Olipa hiton kova pätkä! Nuolet toimi ku tauti ja piti hurjaa ääntä ilmassa. Nuolen kantama oli ehkä ainut miinus testeissä.

Wow, wonderful. Subscribed.

this seems to be effective especially in siege warfare

Flash paper target
Doesn't look very aerodynamic - but then I suppose it doesn't have to be when your target is literally the size of a barn!

The arched shot took two tries, the first was nailed on first go. I practised enough before filming, though, as always.
Ihan ok.. 😂
Jep,, aina on parantamisen varaa :D
Vau mikä ääni. Melkein tahtoisi itsekin kokeilla. Pitääpi seuraavan kerran kaivaa jouskari esiin varastosta, kun menen isäukon luokse käymään.
@@naikhou2361 Joo tuo ääni oli kyllä yllätys itsellekin. Hyvin vaikuttava. Eikun vaan kokeilemaan!
