They need to make a movie about Goodbye Eri. Give it the right studio and this shit will be crazier than Your name
Imo the general audience probably wouldn't like it very much. They will prefer a clear ending. An open-ended closure like this one that makes you wonder surely will be a masterpiece adaptation but wouldn't get "crazy" appreciation like your name. It's like a pop song vs genius classical music. Pop song is generic and overall easy to chew (not saying your name wasn't good, it's a good 'pop music' which is just perfect, but goodbye, eri isnt your typical story either). But if there's enough hype and exposure, maybe these trend-follower people will hop on the train too. Regardless, an adaptation would surely be awesome, who cares about popularity anyway?
They made one about look back so maybe soon.
My buddy Fujima literally made more history with 120 pages than the whole "Rental Girlfriend" ....

Damn i want this to be a trend, doesn't even gotta be romance just cutting together a bunch of first person manga panels from one characters perspective so its like a bunch of moments from their life would be super cool
Man, Tatsuki Fujimoto is a literate, writing genius and despite his very young age, he's made many wonderful one shots and two amazing notable works being Fire Punch and Chainsaw man. I'd really love to see how much he'll progress as time goes on and what other amazing series and one shots he'll potentially make in the future. Also, MAPPA has stated that they'd be interested in animating any of his works (both Fire Punch and his one shots) so I'd love to one day see them animate them after they finish animating Chainsaw man, maybe a show for Fire Punch then Goodbye Eri or Look Back as movies would be cool.

Absolute Kinofest. I'd much prefer look back but goodbye eri was much more enjoyable for me to read but look back I still think would be fujimoto magnum opus of a one shot.
