@@MrEinfachso123he may not have explicitly apologized in so many words, but I think that how Dean truly felt about Jack towards the end was rather obvious. Dean was never one to get all sappy and expressive himself in a “chick flick moment” kind of way.
Hell he let Jack drive Baby. If that doesn’t show that Dean thought of Jack as family I’m not sure what does. And he didn’t just let Jack drive Baby, that whole scene where he’s teaching Jack to drive is a testament to the fact Dean cares about Jack.
Family does end with blood. That's what single mothers say to their perspective mates. Hahaha

"There'll be peace when you are done.'' Looking back it's symbolic and proper Dean died young and guns blazing and Sam got to live a full life and went on to have a family, he always wanted to have a family.
It's really, really not. The show was ALWAYS setting it up that it made the most sense that DEAN was the one that got that life and SAM was the one that went out like the hunter - otherwise there is LITERALLY no growth in their characters from season one, NONE. They're exactly the same - Dean wanting to be the hunter, Sam wanting out of that life, instead of what they actually WERE, Dean wanting growing tired of being a hunter and wanting a life, and SAM fucking becoming like his father. JAYSUS, that the fans will do absolutely anything to forgive such SHITTY writing is mind boggling.
Your right incredible decision to pretend that the fifteen years in between the pilot and the finale never happened so they could end the characters stories in a way that would’ve made the most sense between ten to fifteen years ago. I wonder why more shows don’t end like that?

I still stand by this I liked the ending but what would have made it EVEN better is if Cas showed up on that bridge with Sam and Dean with his wings back

The thing I love about this scene is the simplicity of of it all. Bobby’s idea of heaven is almost always quite literally chilling on the front porch enjoying a beer, maybe he’s got a family member or friend with him
As seen in The Winchesters, he and Dean kept hunting, even in death and against Jack's orders.
Bobby's wife is up there somewhere with his own family, although i think Bobby was brought in as JD Morgan couldn't

Most likely, Cas is probably in charge with other Angels helping to fix Heaven while Jack wanders about doing whatever he does with Amara's help. Cas controls Heaven with Jack's help of course while Traveling and enjoying like with his ...grandmother? Lol Jack can finally be happy...that is just awesome

How it should have always been.

This here is why I LOVE the finale! They took a 15 year long borderline horror show chock full of craziness, heartbreak, loss, guilt and pulled off not just a happy ending, but a happily-ever-after ending!
Deans always been a lone wolf it’s how the writers wanted him to be portrayed till the end. Can’t get mad at the ending for him he’s at peace knowing everything’s good now and right. Sam on the other hand always wanted to have a normal life but accepted his destiny for so long and now he’s finally free to do some things his character only dreamt of since the pilot with his first love Jess. Both characters got fitting ends to the lives they portrayed for 15 years and in the end ended up together in heaven.
My only question is who did Sam end up with lol! He has a family but it never is clear that he ended up with Eileen... and obviously his son 'Dean' went on to become a Hunter [possibly] due to the tattoo. So who's the mother lol! Now fans can go nuts over that XDD
And Dean even multiple times he knew this was ending he was never gonna live long life his happy ending was Sam living a long life and he got that
Also want to recognize that dean wouldn’t haven’t wanted it any other way when it came to his death. He was so angry and fixated that chuck was always meddling every time he or same suffered a fate such as death only to be resurrected for chucks entertainment. Him dying the way he did was almost natural and not forced by anyone other than his own up brining saving people

They beat God and Dean fundamentally had the free will he's always wanted and he still chose this. That 'subsection' of the fans thinking this was OOC don't understand this show and these characters. It started with Sam and Dean and ended with Sam and Dean. Yes they discovered a found family along the way but as Dean said to Sam. When it comes down to it it's always "you and me"
No one understands Dean like Jensen and he said years ago that if Dean was going to say "I love you" to anyone, it would be Sam. And last night we got just that. And it was sad and beautiful. But Dean knew it was gonna end bloody, and he predicted his death years ago. He would go out hunting and his wish for Sam was the same wish years ago. Sam lives on for Dean Titanic style and will be reunited with him again.
It was very interesting that the writers chose to show Sam with a family but the wife was blurred and nameless. Yet the child was a sharp focus. Sam named him Dean and seemed to put everything he felt for Dean into this child. And that kept him holding on until he could be with Dean again. Dean Jr becomes a hunter too and lets Sam go the way Sam let Dean go. Sam's grief after Dean was gone was so palpable too. Jared had me blubbing in those moments he was missing Dean. And when he cried in the impala and with miracle whining after Dean. You could see just how much it hurt honoring Dean's wish (And coincidentally was a mirror of Dean in S5 going to Lisa and Ben to honor Sam but never really being able to be happy without Sam) It seemed that Dean ultimately lived on through Dean Jr. I thought it was a fitting conclusion for 15 years of the Winchesters. Sam and Dean remained true to who they were and it was a bittersweet ending, which i always saw happening.
I also loved seeing real Bobby again, the true father to the boys and a constant from season 1. It's very sweet that Bobby is the one who eases Dean into 'winchesterland' and only Bobby knows just how much Dean feels incomplete without Sam "He'll be along soon" you could see everything on his face. Dean goes to Heaven and all he can think about is having Sam by his side. Which is why i cried when Dean chose to get in the impala and drive waiting for Sam. I loved that this show made these brothers platonic soulmates, and that was never more apparent than when Dean was on that bridge at the impala, and he instantly knew the moment Sam had arrived. That freakin smile and "Hey Sam" and then "now it's perfect" with their arms around each other looking at their future.

@@logankyllonen1657 They're dead yes, but technically they're more alive then they've ever been. The new heaven is basically all the best parts of life, but eternal. Like Bobby said, you have everything you need, and everything you could ever want here. The Winchesters, Bobby, Rufus, Cas, the Harvelle's and "Baby" all reunited, in peace forever.

Perfect ending...Dean was a warrior...there was no way he would have married and settled down. He died fighting to the end....as he should. Sam always wanted a family and he got that. His son, Dean, is also a hunter carrying on the legacy (hunter tattoo)...and they meet in heaven....There'll be peace when you are done!
Imagine how weird it would sound for Dean to refer to his nephew as Dean Jr.
Dean was settled down in a way. Jack is like a son to him and Cas is pretty much his significant other in a way

If you think about it their ending is just like vampire diaries one brother dies the other lives a full and happy life then dies and both are reunited in heaven
So I loved the vampire diaries but don't give me hate because I think this ending fit supernatural better than the vampire diaries because I feel like it wasn't time for Stefan to die he had just got married he was finally going to be happy but it makes sense for Dean to die during the hunt because that's how he wanted to die and it makes sense that Sam lived a normal life that's literally what he was trying to do in the very beginning of the show and yes I know the vampire diaries had the ending first but I think Stefan should have lived

@@talkshh also it's not the same in my eyes because this end for Sam and Dean was imprinted in the show's DNA. It is fundamentally who these 2 boys are at their core. It is fundamentally the deep love they have for each other and for the last 15 years it has been predicted, foreshadowed, and Dean has said the very words that actually happened. Dean goes out on a hunt bloody and sad, he goes out loving Sam and saving people. And Sam lives on for Dean with a son he names Dean and with that more independent streak that Sam has had since day 1. Both of these situations are true to the characters we've seen for 15 yrs. And then Sam and Dean as depicted in S5 reunite in 'winchesterland' to be together forever happy and safe.
The issue for me is that with the Salvatore brothers? Their ending doesn't feel organic. Their dynamic certainly doesn't warrant it and the 'love' they have for each other couldn't compare to what Sam and Dean built on screen for 15 years. When Dean says to Sam "I love you so much, my baby brother" you can feel that from the soul. Never felt that with Damen and Stefon. They spent the majority of their show resenting each other, seperated and fighting over a girl. Respect for those who love Vampire diaries but in my eyes the Salvatore brothers don't hold a candle to the Winchester brothers.
@Sukhy Atwal and yet this "same stupid ending" is very much in the DNA of supernatural with many scenes and events foreshadowing it over the years. Not to mention Dean's own freakin words to Sam. They showed Sam and Dean sharing heaven as far back as S5 'dark side of the moon' Dean predicted his own death many times and went out how he lived; saving people, hunting things and loving Sam. I don't know about those other shows but this ending was 100% supernatural.

The one and only thing I wish could have happened was Dean getting to talk with Cas after that whole dramatic goodbye that he did before he was taken by the empty. I just wanted to see them have one more interaction with each other in heaven, but apart from that this ending is still perfect and I love it
I was already incredibly happy about the two simple words "Cas helped", because (for me) they imply that Cas does not have to rot in the empty. Sure, I would have been even happier to also hear the two simple words "Hello Dean" again, but I think the open ending was just right. So it is still up to everyone's interpretation whether/how things will continue with the two of them and no one will be proven wrong
I think, After all this time, this is what Dean really wanted. If he grow old, he would never stop hunting. Sam alsays wanted a family. Both couldn't have the chance to live a happy "life". Now, Dean is in heaven, knowing Cas is there, too. He can see all the people he lost on his heavy life and be at peace❤
And Sam has the family he always wanted.
The ending fits the brothers so well.

It probably did return to sleep, since it was easily able to invade Heaven. It's probably just grateful to have nothing to do with Winchesters, Cas or anything else that interrupted its nap.
Which more or less is all it ever actually wanted; to sleep. I'm pretty sure Jack has had enough of dealing with it and poking around it for one lifetime.

Given Billie's comments about how it might not be as powerful but is infinitely more vast, I'm guessing they've both just agreed to not bother with each other ever again. It'll probably be angry about being cheated out of Castiel, but given it only wanted to sleep, it'll probably get over it real quick if it gets to drop off again.

This show was incredible. The music and the timing and just everything was sooooo good
I loved the finale, dean at peace, Sam lives an apple pie kind of life. It’s so bittersweet and I’m sad to say goodbye but they’re legacies and their stories will live on ❤️
That’s the kind of Heaven my mother’s in. Knowing her she’s singing karaoke and enjoying the Beach and the sunsets. 🌅

That's because he did officially die but we also can't see Castiel if Jack did bring him back due to Jack and Cas having ALOT on their plates. Cas is more than likely leading thousands of Angels, dealing with souls, and still fixing things because Jack's only been fixing heaven and the entire Universe for just such a short time... [With Amara's help thankfully...] but Cas has to fix everything before he can chill with old friends if he was brought from the Empty which seems true!

This is basically what my idea of paradise would be. A house out in the country with woods to hunt and a lake to swim and fish in...all the people I love just a sunday drive away. All the perks of homesteading and none of the drawbacks...

Finally we understand what happened to our Bobby and what a relief! Heaven is the Paradise Jack has made. Definitely worth the wait after all the struggle we go through on Earth. But Sam and Dean always teach us to always keep fighting.

I like to think that the "wherever" Jack went to was him actually rebuilding the multiverse that Chuck destroyed.
I hate how everyone says this was a perfect ending for Dean because "He was a warrior." It was literally the core of his character arc, expressed in his final moments with Chuck, that he wasn't just a soldier.
Warriors do die though. You know that right? You live by the sword, you die by the sword. He died by a nail in the wall but you get my drift...

@@fsd2696 the prophecy doesn't matter past it being overcome. Deans whole character revolution was that he wasn't just some soldier. And he immediately dies afterwords as nothing more than a soldier. Either you do character growth or you don't. End of story.
He accepted that he’s far more than just a killer, absolutely! Dean can know he’s worth more than just a killer while still continuing to go on hunts, he’s always enjoyed the excitement and he can continue to enjoy it without thinking that’s all he is. Dean genuinely loves being able to save people, and that inherent heroism is a big part of the positive traits he needed to realize he’s always had.
Still love this scene. Gotta be comforting like tons, to hear that when you question the presence of a loved one in Heaven, they simply say "they'll be here later😊"
Funny how a tv show can make you so emtional.I was hurt with Dean died.Bobby's speech was good.My mother died Jan. 22 2020 and hearing those words was hard but very inspirational.Ive griefed since Jan over my momma and teared up over Deans death.I didnt think they would make the ending so good.I think this part will be a [art of healing for alot of us

RIGHT HERE!!! This is that exact moment they could have changed everything! When Bobby asks Dean what he wants to do Dean jumps in the Impala and after a bit Cas shows up in the passenger sit like the goofy angel he is. THAT is the ending I would be okay with because IT MAKES SENSE.
So is he gonna sit in the car when Sam arrives? Because that wouldn't make sense and the shot wasn't for 3 people but I would've liked to see him a bit in this final episode maybe after Dean drives he appears next to Bobby or something like that

It doesn't make sense, and ya know it just proves that a certain subsection of this fandom don't understand this show and these characters. And sadly you'll remain in denial. Ship what you ship but remember the line. The show is over. The crazy metas and laughable narratives blew up in your faces and maybe you get what you deserve here.
What makes sense and remains true to this show is Dean dying the way he lived; saving people, hunting things and loving Sam. And having Bobby, his surrogate father be the one to ease him into heaven and Dean to feel imperfect without Sam. Just like in S5 when the first thing Dean says is "Where's Sam?" When he gets to heaven, when he sees souless Sam in S6 and thinks he's in heaven.
What makes sense is that Dean would get in that impala and drive to find Sam. That he wouldn't be satisfied and feel complete until he's reunited with Sam. Ya know just as Dean has said and shown through 15 seasons. Trying to shoe horn Cas into that would be laughable. Do you honestly think Dean wants anyone else there when he finally sees his beloved brother again? What makes sense is that the show ended the way it began. It was all about Sam and Dean and their relationship. So i understand you not being happy you didn't get certain things. But this show very much made sense and was true to who Sam and Dean were.
@@rochey1010 I'm not saying I'm disappointed in the show. I actually loved the ending. I think that it made sense that Dean died and Sam gets to live the rest of his life and then join him. The only thing I was "disappointed" about is how the whole series it has been "family doesnt stop with blood" and yet all we really see in the end,besides Bobby, is biological family. Please dont come after me about not knowing anything about this show because I do. I'm only remarking on the fact that I would have liked to see more representation of the family they made along the way. This whole series they have met so many people that became family to them and I feel like they all deserved an ending too. Eileen is a perfect example of that. We never really got a closing on her. We can assume that Sam married her but we dont know for sure.
I really dont want to argue about the show. I value everyones opinions but please let me have my own. Everybody has a different veiw on the characters. There isn't just one way to see them. I understand that Dean was going to die and go to heaven. I just think he deserved more. Again my personal opinion. Cas is another thing I wasn't fully happy with. It just leaves to much to the imagination. I know that alot of shows don't get an ending so I am very happy that we did. While I may not agree with everything that happened I still love this show and im so grateful to the actors and writers for giving us the best 15 years.

I only remarked on the fact that bringing back some of the most beloved characters would have been an amazing sendoff. I think we all need to realize that yes it started with Sam and Dean but it has grown to so much more than that. I just wish we could have seen Team Free Will reunite in heaven for one last time.

I would watch every season over, when a new season started, I use to fall asleep every night to it for years playing in the background on my laptop or tv, not once did I ever cry...but I just cried a good bit! I love the fact that they reunited dean n bobby in heaven. And john wasnt there like, such an amazing final climax to a 15 year story, it just had to be bobby, n i think had it been john in heaven the directors would have come under some intense and verbal scrutiny. But adding bobby was just a must, the fact that he went though what most dads couldn’t even dream of doing, n his influence on them actually helped them develop in to the characters they were in the series. He died for them boys, so it was only right bobby was there to greet dean, n idc what anyone says bobby was there real father, he even treated them like his own, n he is much more of a father figure to the boys than john ever was, he even says “but they’re my boys” n “i adopted two boys, n they turned out to be heroes”. Bobby is the father that some people could only dream of having. What a story and what an ending!!!🙏🏼💖💯
They actually were truly going to put John, Mary, Jo, Ellen, and Charlie in heaven but covid ruined everything so they couldn't have too many people on set. But yes i agree Bobby was the perfect choice anyway.

This was a great finale.
But I'm slightly disappointed that Ellen and Jo didn't get mentioned, aside from the wide shot of "The Roadhouse" (they made sure to pan out so we could see her name)... They were a MAJOR part of the first 5 seasons.
Hell, they laid down their lives so that Sam and Dean could escape and (hopefully) defeat Lucifer using "The Colt"... if not for their sacrifice, we never would've gotten past season 5!
Covid-19 restrictions forced them to change the ending. Apparently a lot of former cast members were supposed to reappear.
I feel so sorry for Dean.I wish he could have more, even if it was against his character and his fate.I wish he had a happy ending in the real world before he 'd end up in heaven.He lived a pretty hard life.

He literally did have that when Sam was in the cage and STILL was paranoid, he still was fearful with all his traps about the house, he made Ben and Lisa also fearful. He would have been a very paranoid father and quite over protective and over barring... Sam was tame and could control himself better, Dean couldn't. Dean also didn't want a family he wanted to Hunt, have Sam, and his beer. He wasn't a family person and stated that multiple times... Sam always wanted the white picket fence, wife, and children.. that was his dream.. and if you think about it Dean DID have a family, he DID have a son... Sam. Sam was his son, he raised his child into a young man, he protected him and celebrated holidays with him. Dean dying as he did was the best ending for him... that's the ending he deserved he raised his child.. he had his family.

The first time I saw Supernatural I was 7 and channel surfing, it terrified me at first but a few years later I started watching it for real and now here I am, 20 and sobbing for them like I'm losing family members
I know I will shed more tears when I get to see the end of this wonderful series. It is well written and well-acted. It is so nice to see familiar faces again and a final farewell. Will definitely miss everyone now scattered.

I should say that Supernatural is become a part of my both lives here and after!! I learned so much from Dean and Sam. The writer of this series is some real guy with 3 eyes. He gave us so much knowledge of everything that which cannot be obtained from someone else so easily!! I'll be so thankful to all of them for etrnity.
I'm happy that he finally reunited with Bobby😍 remember after Bobby died and sent away by them,they never saw each other again!Dean has to see Bobby's human soul and got news about him from others and the other way around but now they live together forever💗💗💗and in the road unlike other times even by his own,he was happy!I just wish they could show reunion with others as well!Cas,Mary,John,Rufus,their friends,and especially Jo!but what I always deeply wanted for Chestervelle to be endgame of Dean and it did😍😍😍
I do love that we got closure on Castiel. If Chuck could bring back Lucifer, it was bothering me that Jack didn't bring Cas back at the end of episode 19. To know that he DID bring Cas back, and that they're working together behind the scenes did make me smile.
That’s how we all hope heaven will be, just our most loved thoughts reliving them and having the same experience everytime. If that’s truly heaven then I want to make as many good times as possible❤
