Is Beaches & Cream Soda Shop Still Great? Full Review at Disney's Beach Club Resort | WDW 2023

- Beaches & Cream Soda Shop located in Disney's Beach Club Resort is meant to illicit atmosphere reminiscent of a turn of the 20th century beachside ice cream shop and soda fountain. It's offerings and fun environment has made it a can't miss stop for fans of classic Disney dining.
However, a few years back the interior restaurant went through a somewhat controversial refurbishment. It's decor changed substantially, removing some of its charm for a more modern design. Despite this, the menu hasn't changed much. Many favorites, such as the No Way Jose and Kitchen Sink are still around.
After an incredible meal at Cape May Cafe, we decided to head back to the Beach Club to see if Beaches & Cream is still as great as we remember. We go over the menu, decor, eat some of their signature dishes and provide our full experience at this memorable Walt Disney World restaurant.

Chevy and ford made wooden bodied vehicles. They were called hucksters. They were trucks. They transported people and luggage from train stations i. e. (station wagons) and groceries and other goods. I think its a 1927 truck front end. Steel wheels and bumper like those don't show up on any trucks before 1918 that I can find. It may be a custom piece. I get a family beach trip picnic vibe. Maybe that's what they were going for?
I pinned this comment to help anyone else out that might find this video and be interested. It does sound like they may have been going for the beach trip picnic vibe. Thanks for the info 😃. These little easter eggs always interest me.
I (Ven) worked at Yacht and Beach back in 2003 and so I know the ins and outs of the property including the food. And it's so crazy seeing that menu change all these years. They used to be so simple and have exploded with the over the top shakes, flavorings for the drinks and what not. Two menus items that haven't changed are the No away Jose and the Florida Sunshine drink that have been staples there since 2003. Two of my favs too!! They use to have another type of chicken sandwich too which I absolutely love and was sad when they got rid of it. I too miss the old decor but I'm partial to it because I loved the old timey colors. But yeah I remember when this was just a casual place to walk into without needing a reservation. Their burgers were really good then too, not sure about now though. I remember liking them because they were not the standard Disney burger. Great video! I think I'm gonna try to convince Chad to make it out this trip to Beaches and cream, it's been a while. At least for the No away Jose!
The dang over the top shakes are everywhere these days lol You gotta go back for the No Way Jose!!! The nostalgia is still there even with the changes imo. I'm a sucker for a juke box. Thanks for watching :)
NO NO WAY …JOSE 🥳👍🥳
Charming & Fun Ice Cream Parlor

Great Location 🤍
“ HAPPY ANNIE “ 🥂
It’s such a nostalgic cute spot, it reminded me of Grease ! Thanks so much for watching ❤️
it’s my pleasure
You make it FUN & SWEET
It takes me back to my own
young adult memories 🥳🤗🥳
And Disney brings out the
Innocent Childlike Spirit in ME 🕊
You two are the cutest couple….actually family….with your precious beagle🐶🐾#sweetfurbaby!
Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Hopefully Frank can join us in a vlog soon 😊 Thanks for watching!
Bucket list. Sam you look gorgeous. You guys both dress so nice ❤
Oh my goodness, I was so tired that day from my 5am flight- so thank you!!!
Love your dining reviews. You guys are one of my go to vloggers now!
That means so much considering how many incredible content creators there are around here. We really appreciate knowing you enjoy and your support 😃.
I started my wedding diet this week and watching this is fulfilling all my food hopes and dreams hahaha I would love those tots! I love peanut butter in ice cream too so I think I would like what you got!
Oh my gosh, God Speed- I remember the wedding diet days! Thankfully it was pre vlog life 😂 It was the ultimate comfort meal 😊 Thanks so much for watching ❤️
We love beaches n cream!!! The theming change is a bit meh though.
Everything you got looked super yummy! We have not tried the kitchen sink - yet - but it is very fun to be sitting in there when the lights and sounds start going off! Great ambience.
Awesome video as always!
To me, the decor feels a bit like a clash between a classic diner and a hospital. However, like I said, I am a dork. Kitchen Sink must be tried one day! The show is worth getting too much ice cream 😆. Thank you 😃.
You guys went full-on Milton's between the grilled cheese and the ice cream! 😁 I do think that Hershey is the undisputed king of the crazy shake game, but they can't touch Beaches & Cream on sundaes. Lactose intolerance or no lactose intolerance, the kitchen sink will never *NOT* be equal parts alluring and intimidating. Had literally no idea that there was an alarm bell every time someone ordered one! I wish that Milton's had those tots, too. They looked and sounded like the best kind of comfort food. Sad to see some of the old-school soda shop theming replaced by Disney pop art, but I feel like the essence of the shop has remained as vintage and atmospheric as ever. As long as they keep the jukebox, I will keep my composure. 😂 Great vlog, you two!
The Sundaes here are definitely the star. Although I do think Milton's has the better ice cream. One day we have to get the Kitchen Sink. True showstopper dessert. Milton's may not have the tots but there chips are 🔥. Can you tell we miss Hershey 😆? It definitely feels more 1950s diner now rather than beachside soda cafe. The juke box definitely encapsulates the essence of this restaurant. Thank you 😃.
I've never actually been to Beaches and Cream but it looks so fun! The Beach hotel looks lovely, fun theming. Love the hidden Mickey in the sandcastle! Root beer with chocolate syrup, that's fun!! That does make it feel like its in the 50s. I love chilli cheese tater tots, yum! That does look like comfort food. That grilled cheese looks good but now I need to try Boardwalk Deli and ABC commissary's grilled cheese. I really did love the one at Woody's too. The kitchen sink alarm is so cute! No way Jose looks really good! I didn't expect the portion to be as huge as it was haha, I knew the kitchen sink was huge but I didn't know that meant the others were still pretty big portions too haha. 9 is a great score!! Awesome review as always you guys! :)
You would love it, plus it's just fun in general to check out the Beach Club resort. It was a great grilled cheese, but I've had too many amazing ones on property to rank this too high. The No Way Jose could have feed at least 3 people too. Thanks so much for watching :)
YES!!! No Way Jose I’m coming for ya! In a couple of weeks we will be in WDW 😊
SOOOO GOOD! How exciting!!! Hope you have an amazing trip :)
@@ThemeParkFoodies thanks! Would love to meet up for a cocktail with you guys when we are over there ❤️
When we stayed at the yacht club, we went to beaches and cream. Absolutely loved it! I will gladly get a kitchen sink with you, Jay lol
I also love how everyone repeats “oh, whole can”
Atmosphere is can't beat here. One day we will all have to get the Kitchen sink! I don't think Sam and I can take it on ourselves 😆. The entire experience of getting the Kitchen Sink is such a classic bit of Disney Magic. Can't wait for your trip 😃.
Hope you had the best time at the TS concert Sam! I just saw her Saturday in Denver, fantastic show but I’m in full recovery mode now 😂
It was like being in a movie!! OMG - congrats on getting Back to December. I am STILL recovering, stay strong sista!!!
@@ThemeParkFoodies it really was!! So so good! Thanks, you too!! 💜
Have wanted to try here and just never have. We really need to check it out!
Definitely worth a stop! It's a pretty easy walk from Epcot too. The old decor was more fun but the food and staff are still great 😃
This is Craig Dennis me and my mom and my dad are doing fine today how you both doing today how is the weather been this moth i never miss your both new videos you have both have a nice safe day today and you both take care👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Craig 😃, happy to know your family is well. It's beautiful and sunny here right now but I'm sure it'll start storming soon given this is Florida 😆. We're doing great, thanks for asking. We appreciate all your support and hope you have a nice and safe day too.
Beach Club/Yacht club are pricey to stay at, but they have such great options like the pools and restaurants. You get that upscale feel without it feeling stuffy. It's probably my favorite resorts(s) to just go visit and be in that environment.
Agree, the atmosphere is so fun but still upscale. Definitely a bucket list stay for us. Thanks so much for watching :)
I’m from the Kansas City area! I did not go to Taylor Swift though but cool that you were in my area. We actually leave for Disney Orlando in a few weeks. Very excited. My sister works for DAK, so we come down every two years.
Love KC! My good friend lives there. Hope you have a great trip, that’s awesome that your sister works there 😊
the colors are very mom and pop cute diner type atmosphere 😀at home i make the grilled cheese lightly spread with mayo not butter giving it a nice evenly browned perfect grilled cheese you cannot taste the mayo at all😀no way jose id have to have that 🤤😋
My Grandma used to make them with mayo. So good! A lot of people gave the new decor scathing reviews. We don't dislike it but I do feel like it's a downgrade from what it was. Like I said though, I'm a dork so this probably isn't for me 😆. Highly recommend the No Way Jose! Warm peanut butter sauce with Hot Fudge is perfection.
Have you two ever eaten at The Fountain at the Dolphin Hotel? Wondering how that stacks up as an alternative to Beaches & Cream. They don't require (maybe even take) reservations there.
We have had the ice cream to go but never dined in, it's a cute spot. I think it's a great idea for a video!! Thanks for watching :)
The old car, from what I can find bc I am not sure, looks like a wood bodied stripped down version of a Chevrolet Series L. 1914-1916
Thanks for the insight Uncle Jay!
Refurb was needed to get more space
Can’t go wrong with ice cream
Agree 💯! Thanks for watching 😊
It was loud in there lol
It definitely was, sorry about that!
The Kitchen Sink looks like a big, sloppy mess in about 2 minutes. The No Way Jose would at least blend together well as it melted. Plus, I'm a big peanut butter fan, too!
One day we will get The Kitchen Sink but we need more people. The No Way Jose is way more appealing to us too. I was basically drinking peanut butter sauce at one point. It was great! Definitely recommend that big time 😃.
If I ate food like that, I'd be so fat. I need healthy options for any restaurant I go to.
I believe they did have a grilled chicken sandwich! It's all calories in, calories out but I'm sure I ate more than enough calories this meal 😆.
The ice cream is a very low quality you can taste the lack of fat and more iced milk flavor to the ice cream which is conducive to low fat low quality ice cream
They use Edy’s, if you prefer a more high quality ice cream try Salt & Straw at Disney Springs or L’Artisan des Glaces at Epcot.
Went to beaches and cream last night very disappointed it's basically Breyers ice cream except that you pay five times the amount very overrated I don't understand what everybody's talking about it's not even halfway close to Häagen Dazs
If I went to my local Publix to buy the ingredients in the No Way Jose sundae (Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream, Peanut Butter, Hot Fudge, Chocolate Morsels, Whipped Cream, and a Cherry) it would have cost me 3x the price of the sundae.
No the pizza at the boardwalk window is horrible. I’m from New Jersey so maybe that’s why but terrible. I rather eat dominos or papa johns the pizza just isn’t good and for the price you pay it’s not big
Oh no 😆, we've heard positive things but we've also been spoiled by tri-state pizza. Honestly, best pizza we've had in Florida is Dominos.
