I've seen it too man, the thing looks completely battered. You can see how messed up all of the frets and board are, plus there's a huge gouge in the wood that's been carved out of the guitar caused by Johnny's downstroaks. It's like an ancient artefact lol.
I am from Nezahualcoyotl one of the urban places of Mexico City, I grew up listening to that music, and if I am not wrong early 90 I was at one of the live concerts and still listened to that music.
once he learned how to use it live, he sounds a little insecure early on in their shows if you ask me... but once he got it down, it didn't take too long at all, he secured his place as an icon
I wanted this video to never end. I didn’t appreciate the Ramones in their prime. I was resistant to punk, a jam band stoner. But now I hear all the influences in their music, from beach boys to Chuck Berry. The pride of Forest Hills. Ramones forever.
Ramones...!!! Love it !!! Leider , leider , leider niemals Live gesehen !!
You should have seen them in 85 when they were touring Too Tough to Die with Richie on drums. Terrible. So fast and so much distortion in the guitar you couldn't tell which song was which. I hated it AND they were easily my favourite band then. At least Marky and CJ steered them right for awhile before the end.
I was at Joey's grave last month in Hillside Cemetery
CJ gave them a boost and extended their careers. Miss them every day.
Yes. That’s what Tommy said
He added another 7 years to the band
0:09 Blitzkrieg Bop

Badass!

Music today has no feeling, it's in a steady decline. This is how it's done.
it's scientifically impossible to top the Ramones.

The guitar that Johnny is playing here now resides at the rock and roll Hall of fame here in Cleveland. I go visit it from time to time.
That guitar has recieved 2 billion ferocious down strokes from Johnnys right hand /wrist but all with love too. Love for the art of punk rock

I miss the RAMONES.

Joey had one of the greatest rock voices...period.
