- Unboxing monochrome white Taurillon leather #LVmenSS19 steamer bag by Virgil Abloh. It was featured on the runway show in Jardin du Palais Royal. The steamer is a classic archive design for Louis Vuitton as this bag would be used in transatlantic voyages with the handle used to hang the bag on the door. Virgil added his own signature touches with the chain and pin mechanism.

Robert you never cease to amazed me with these unique pieces. I have not seen this bag anywhere as yet to view, it’s fabulous! The white leather is gorgeous! Just be careful with color transfer but do use it and get every bit of enjoyment out of it. I think the older the bag gets its beauty will continue to shine. The belt is so playful, love it! Hermes Kelly has better mechanism but luckily they have a zipper access at the back so you don’t need to open all the time

Thank you! It still looks great but I don’t use those often and avoid placing on the floor or scraping against other objects. For true lasting material I think canvas always wins.

Thank you for sharing!! Its design is so classical that I fell for it from the first sight. But could you tell me how heavy it weighs? I always find the leather bags too heavy if I go shopping carrying them and would tend to take a rest often.
It’s lighter than you would expect. I highly recommend it! You see that I’m easily holding it in the video. Plus it has the shoulder strap.

TD Moore stems from* clearly now it is not but back when Louis Vuitton simply made functional items that people actually consumed and used not just for the name but for the functionality this was what it would be used for.
The original version apparently was much larger. When empty, it could be flattened inside a Steamer Trunk. One could hang it on the doorknob and use it to store laundry.
