Kanye walked so Virgil could run. From what I’ve seen I don’t think it’s fair to say he was his “understudy” or “apprentice”. Seemed more like a creative partner. Kanye is just a much bigger figure so it only makes sense he would have a greater influence but they were equals when it came to their creative mindset. Idk much about the fashion world and am just now really learning about Virgil but I admire what he did while he was here 🙏🏽

They were feuding. This was his last collection (I think) before his passing. They buried it and he (Kanye) was waiting at the end of the runway as a olive branch/celebrating his achievement, hence the tears.
