    damn I needed this video 2 days ago when I did this, is youtube reading my mind recommending this to me? :D I managed to replace the pipe without draining the coolant tho
    little tip when researching for this I found out you can get the pipe for e46 318d, it its the same but since 318d does not have EGR cooler, the connection is plugged up from factory on it.

      Ah i see, unfortunately in the South African market, we didn't get the 318d so we're unable to get those parts over the counter at any store. I always go of the part number listed for the VIN of the car and if there's any modifications, i know its done on my own accord

    Hwzit bru great channel keep up the great work..car sounds awesome aswell...
    I have a x3 2.0d 2005 and i think it the same engine i want to start showing the car some attention because i love the engine...what are the benefits and cons of removing your egr...will i need to map it...any advice of that will be appreciated

      The car just passed 250000km (155k mls) a few days prior to recording, I've redone all the main aspects of the cooling system on the channel as well (bearing in mind that all these were original parts from 2006 when the car was manufactured)

      @@Realpreshaanb Great video, thanks! Before I watched it, I was like, "Ugghhh, this is going to suck." Mine cracked at the V. It's interesting on the miles versus year in terms of failure...my car is a '09 but 156,000 mi.
