Stellar Blade was my most anticipated game since 2021 and i absolutely loved it. 52 hours played on my first playthrough and almost found everything. The gameplay and setting are incredible, but i was hoping the story would be better. I'm sad i missed like 3 documents (documents got really annoying to find) and missed 100% skill tree by 1 point. But found all costumes and the cans for the costume. Really fun game with a beautiful setting and great ideas. For this being ShiftUp's first big console game, they did an incredible job and i hope we get a sequel that can improve on the weaker points of the game And it's incredibly polished. I only had 1 crash and 1 glitch the entire 52 hour playthrough.
the music of this game is fkn incredible. I’m about 15 hours in, man it’s fantastic
I forgot to mention music 😭😭 but it's elite. 2nd best to Final Fantasy this year.
Oh what a coincidence I just beat the game last night too. The final boss was really hard to predict the timing for the parries. Actually when it came down to it the boss and I were both one or two hits away from dying and I was struggling to time dodges and stay alive long enough for a break to get a hit in and my healing was exhausted. But ultimately I managed to gain enough burst energy to finish it with one final use and got the win.
I LOVE this review..one thing that stuck out to me was how they give you all the tools to succeed its literally comes down to skill and how much you pay attention to directions, because aside from that this game isnt that complicated once you pay attention.
Thanks a ton!!! And absolutely, it has that satisfaction element of figuring out a pattern and getting through it
The only thing I wish they had in Stellar blade was different swords to get. If we could have gotten swords along with exospines that would have been awesome
The true ending I believe it's a new sword right? But nothing that comes with it. I think that's an excellent point though and was thinking the same thing throughout the game.
But the sword Eve uses, its the stellar blade. If more would have a different name i guess.
The music is the mvp for me
The music is also very very good!!!
I personally like the story
People really don’t give the story enough credit. It’s super underrated.
@@ChaoTix.SI actually don’t know why everyone says Eve is boring and ‘bland’. She’s supposed to be. She’s sort of a blank, essentially a child. She actually does show development and evolution. I haven’t fully completed it yet. But I think the criticism is a bit harsh. Just because she isn’t fake and jumping around over the top personality.strange.
@@ChaoTix.SI do think it's underrated. Some people act like the story is garbage but it's actually decent most of the game and pretty good by the end especially if you keep up with the lore.
@@jamiefroud633 The problem isn't that she's bland, it's that she stays bland for too long. She starts getting interesting only near the very end. There's also a lot they could've done with her but didn't, like maybe show us a bit of what her life was like at the colony with Tachy? Or maybe don't kill tachy off so quickly so we can see their bond.
Fantastic game for sure. Just got done with Eidos Facility now back in the wastelands sweeping up the rest of the side missions before moving on.. I love the stellar combat mixed with the eye candy visuals. Monster/boss designs have been really good so far along with that insane soundtrack.. 🔥🔥
Soundtrack is so good, didn't mention it but it's elite level.
I'm toward the end of my second playthrough and I actually really like the story and I've picked up on a lot of subtle hints about what's going on especially from Adam dropping truths throughout about humanity
Definitely want to go through it again to see if I can pick out the hints with Adam lol
The story is only good at the very end, it's almost a bit frustrating cuz it could've been amazing. The plot points were there
they need to nerf the knockdown cheese on the big bosses. You can literally stun lock them so hard its wild
I just read an article about all the new additions in NG+ and I'm actually excited to play though again.
The story may not be anything special, but the gameplay is top-notch and should be the gold standard for future games, the same way Arkham has become.
Agreed, gameplay is so good!!
I feel you with them last 3 bosses I was raging xD
I couldn't believe it lol. I also thought Raven was the last boss and it was almost midnight and I managed to beat the final final boss in about 25 min lol
@PodcastNow
She might as well be. Her difficulty seems higher than the actual final boss no matter which one you get.
Not unusual for the 2nd last boss to be the actual last boss in terms of difficulty. That format makes the last boss fight to be a bit of a cooldown for the player. Depending on what the devs want, this last boss can still kill the player but still be a cooldown from the 2nd last boss.
@@PodcastNowhonestly dind’t expect raven as a boss . I thought she only was a character from the legacy holograms
@@army-ruler
The tease.
Gonna start playing it tomorrow due to life.
I hope you have a great time with it 👍
Hope you're enjoying it!!!
Korean voice option is the way to go for sure
I bought this game for the combat but I ended up enjoying the story as well tbh. I always prefer for a game to have a slow start to the story and end off on a strong note rather than have a great start and fumble the plot at the end. I honestly finished the game and was satisfied with how things wrapped up and felt like the performances and story kicked up a gear when it mattered the most. As a whole the story is simple but I ended up liking it more than I thought I would especially after switching to Korean before reaching Eidos 9. Overall great game and its way better than what a lot of reviews make it out to be.
I wonder how much of a difference playing in Korean, English or Japanese makes to the experience. A lot of people seem to find the english VAs pretty hit or miss.
They're definitely not terrible in English, Eve is fine (I've watched some scenes back in it) but Korean I just find it to be more of a pop!
I played it with korean voices and found them to be far superior (in my opinion)
I think the biggest issue is localisation. That will damage the English unfortunately. However, I will try to do Korean for the NG+
Obviously Korean should be much more natural sounding and flow better.
i want a variety of games so im interested in sci fi games that are fun and worth playing
Now that you’ve found that this type of game is something you like with the parrying and dodging feeling the way it does, you should play Sekiro. The combat in Srellar blade is heavily inspired by it, and if you think stellar blade was awesome (which it is I’m having a blast) you’ll love sekiro. Objectively it does what stellar blade does but better
That kinda convinces me lol, alright I'll add it to the list and give it another go! Thank you lol!!
@@PodcastNow Awesome man, when you do get to it, just a small pro tip, the dodge isn’t as strong as it is in stellar blade it’s more parry focused. When that clicks you will be a god amongst the enemies and it will become second nature to stand your ground and parry parry parry
NG plus right now after putting 67h in my first playthrough, i just can't put it down.
NICE!!!
what difficulty did you play the game on?
Normal!
Ironic that the points you dont like are the same or very similar on Elden ring, Characters with more personality than dragon's dogma dummies. The main idea is to discover and develop the main character and others, but probably used to have it done with no effort like other games.
I get that, honestly I'd just counter with this game is trying to be more story focus if that makes sense? It's definitely more of a narrative game than something like Elden Ring, therefore it has a bigger emphasis on the acting, dialogue, story.
So hard disagree with your take on the characters, I found them super good and interesting, especially eve and the story was awesome especially the secret ending route. idk man you sound super nitpicky
I mean that's the fun things with opinions, we can all have their own. It was an interesting story for sure, I wouldn't call it good myself, and that's fine lol. I'm glad you liked it, there's nothing wrong with that. And I also don't know about nitpicky, I've played probably 90 games in the last year, most I liked and did reviews on, I guess you can judge me based off those if I'm picky or not
Also, this game very much so feels like Eve discovering who she is and deciding to not be subservient. In other words she's probably going to have more personality if there's DLC or a sequel.
Big ass mcgiggle tits is the most deepest of characters ever
@@themegatonmenace1224 agreed, I also felt like that was her character arc
GREAT point
Character wise I would say Eve is a better than 2b.
I wish the writing and story were better. It is very bad narrative-wise and to me gameplay is not the priority.
So go and play an interactive movie instead.
Go play a good game like nier or the witcher 3 then
@@jebes909090 I have played them. This game had the potential though.
How is gameplay not the priority? It's the most important element in a videogame.
Stellar blade is trash
ur trash too face it!
