Throwing cranks and floats in these high pressured creeks is overkill, especially with the amount of people there attempting to floss and snag for them, the percentage is so high. Best to fish the mouths, marinas and harbors for fresher fish and those who will actually eat eggs and aggresively strike cranks, spoons, and spinners.
They are all tributary rivers from Lake Michigan. Easy to find spots. I look at maps and follow the river up and also use onx maps so I know where private and public lands are.
I don’t remember what I used for this trip, but usually 20 pound braid with 10 foot mono leader in 10-15 pound, and size 8 or 6 circle Gamakatsu hooks for spawn sacs. If I use straight line, usually 12-15 straight mono. I also use a 10 foot pole for better leverage.
Great video, I used to go to that same part in the middle. Gives you quite the advantage.
Cool!

you think they’re running rn? Never tried before
They are staging up in the harbors now. Soon will be in rivers if not already in rivers. Hood rain and water flow will bring them up the tribes.
1st like!
What rod and how much line lb for salmon?
Use any 10 foot rod with a good 2500 to 3000 reel with 10-12 pound line.
I fish this place all the time during salmon season
I have finished this area caught my first one here
Awesome! Glad you caught your first one there. It’s always a great spot to hit up, until people start showing up. Good luck on your next adventures!

Can you do a rig Tutorial
This is laughable… doesn’t look enjoyable at all
You are on an obscure yt video judging what is enjoyable to other people. Average Trout elitist arrogance. Get a life.
