Let me tell you how my partner found out about her latex allergy. She had a severe reaction at the dentists so the dentist changed everything they used (gloves, pastes, etc) just in case. That didn’t tell her exactly what she was allergic to but she never had another reaction at dentist. Following this, her next reaction was at a doctors. Unfortunately for her it was the Gynecologist. The reaction was severe and localized if you get my drift. She reported back to the dentist that it was definitely the latex gloves and had the allergy entered into her medical charts immediately. A few years later she had her hair done and hadn’t even considered the gloves worn by the colorist would be latex. Welp, a few hours later she had a beautiful head of hair and fish lips.
I found out I have fake-Latex sensitivity (which isn’t quite as weird as it sounds and it isn’t really a common material because this is a common issue from what I’ve heard) when I was in middle school and my Orthodontist had swapped over to the fake-Latex gloves and I basically broke out in hives on the inside of my mouth, but with braces they were scratched open all day and by the time I got home (since my appt was during lunch) I was bleeding from my mouth. Dad worries, but realizes what is causing the blood and gives me a Zyrtec and then calls my Ortho and just rails into the guy. Now I have to know which brands of “Not Latex” gloves can and can’t be used with me. I don’t see them very often- bc apparently this was kinda common- but they do show up every once and awhile.
Oof, I'm lucky in that I only get like irritated skin/itchy with no like bumps, and general discomfort. (I have a few mild skin allergies though tbf. Nickel earrings make my ears swell (common) and my skin green if via rings, and suuper itchy, and I can't put like face paints on unless they're specifically hypoallergenic. Not to mention those annoying bandaid shapes. Bandaids are so itchy, after like a good few minutes istg, I'm pretty sure that's not an allergy, but just grr. My cuticles basically peel and stuff all the time, and I'm generally prone to hand wounds (light ones, but worthy of bandaids.) along with acne issues. So I have to have bandaids almost constantly on hand just in case or I have a chance of bleeding everywhere lol. (More so from the acne, it bleeds heavier than I'd wish but for a short time, while other wounds usually just make it impossible to do anything without being in pain as I use my hands a lot, instruments, painting, drawing, etc.) Aka, my skin is picky and bratty. (Seriously though, I have dry skin issues where, when I was my hands, if I touch anything dry, it'll make me want to cry. I can't fold dry laundry, even if I haven't washed my hands or anything, without actually crying, because it hurts. It's not like sharp pain, it's almost like a mix of tickling soft discomfort or the sensation when you tense up your muscles and they tremble? It's achy soft sandpapery pain and I can't even touch myself or my clothes or anything at all, even lotion upon contact, without having that sensation. Lotion helps, but I have sensory issues and it's slimy and gross. Only few have been tolerable.) Also, bananas contain the same allergens as latex, from what I read, so that's why it's more likely that you'll be allergic to the other if you are allergic to one. Same with (using list I'm reading from) kiwi, avocado, chestnut, and passion fruit. (Not that you'll HAVE to have them, but you're at a higher risk of it.)
Just don’t say anything like ‘sir or madam’. Simply say ‘have a nice day now’. Any time I get folx stumbling over that with me, I tell them to cut it out of their vernacular. It’s easier for everyone. My friend now says ‘good evening. Please take your seats as tonight’s performance will commence’ at the theatre she works in after asking my advice.
This. I live in a country where we hardly ever use honorifics or anything like that (hell, we don't even have gendered pronouns) and I always wonder whether I come across as rude to foreigners when I just address everyone like "yo, wassup" even if they were the damn President. But I don't care because honestly the world would be better if everyone did that everywhere.
"Your majesty!" The only way I will allow common binaries to address me. *honestly I wish there were a way to adress me formally (in german there isnt)

Okay but I've been going by Rayne for like 5-6 years now and I still deadname myseld It doesn't help that... I'm not out or asked my family to call me that instead but still, you'd think my internal monologue can get my name right but fjsjf
I feel that! I dead name myself like when I answer the phone and such I've been in the closet for so long I forget other people know now and I can just use my new name instead
When I came out as NB to my parents, they told me "The only thing that matters to us is that you are safe, happy, and healthy." I kind of should have expected that cuz they would take me and my sisters to pride when we were little. It did take them a little bit hard for them to remember to use my new name and pronouns but they really did try.
This was the same for me. I’m gender-fluid so I guess kind of a different situation, but using they is the easiest since we don’t know what gender I’ll be at certain points and it’s difficult to just switch. So they use they, and my name was changed too so that took some getting used to, but it’s pretty solid now!
I got one 😂 My grandma and grandpa and I went to I hop at like 9 pm for dinner. I had to pee and I was wearing a button up shirt and bow tie (I’m ftm) there was nobody in the restaurant at the time so I went into the men’s (first time doing that). My grandma followed me in there and I had to tell her to get out. That’s nit even the worse part. Like 2 minutes after I came out and sat back down, an entire basketball team came into the restaurant (like 20 guys) and almost all of them went into the bathroom RIGHT after I left 😂 Edit: that same night the waitress called me sir and I smiled cause she called me sir and she “corrected” herself cause I smile/laughed 😂 but my grandpa jumped in a said no you were right the first time.
I'm also allergic to latex and I found out from stickers and Band-Aids. Most adhesive is latex based. It's not only gloves and condoms that are made with latex XD
I found this out after being out for a year but finding a short hairstyle that fits your head shape can really help you pass. I really hope i could help you in some way :)
In case anyone's wondering why autistic people look younger, it's likely because we have weird collagen. There's an incredibly high prevalence of Ehlers-Danlos (a connective tissue disorder) and milder connective tissue abnormalities in autism.

I lost it at the "shit in the urinal" comments because I actually did that my first time in a boy's bathroom at...uh...seven or eight cause I had NO idea. I didn't tell ANYONE and was always afraid to go back in one (even while questioning my gender identity) once I realized you weren't supposed to do that, hence part of why I didn't come out as trans til I was 18. I was mortified when I found out what I'd done wasn't the right way to go about it. I found out cause one of the teachers came into our classroom and asked "who took a poo in the urinal?" It was attached to our classroom and one other. No one spoke up, obviously. I'm just so glad I wasn't seen doing it! D:
I work as a tour guide and I address people as "dear guest" a lot. I'm fancy and British so people sort of love it! It really works - typical situation would be "This guest is expecting two other people who haven't arrived yet" to my assistant.
I'm to teach my friends to say "thank you, Soldier.' or 'Have a nice day, Traveller' I'm dutch so we don't really use pronouns after a greeting or something, but instead of ladies and gentlemen, madam, sir, I think using gender-neutral titles are mysterious and cool to use. Especially if they are visibly not carrying that title.
@@namelesswolf2625 I use it for literally all situations, makes me sound like I know something they don't. For added mystery, use 'wanderer' or 'comrad' or 'my lord' or some other weird career position. XP
Jamie, you have been a major role model for me throughout the last couple years as I discovered myself, and now I've been fully out as trans since October of 2018, and I'm starting on testosterone on Friday! Thank you for helping me find the confidence to be myself!
I needed this light-hearted video. 💕 Since this is UA-cam, based on the title I expected it to be gatekeeping a la Blaire White. Like deciding person xyz isn't trans cause they don't pass as well as you. I was pleasantly surprised and so relieved by the actual content. You two are gorgeous and very funny. Thank you!
Jamieeeeeeee please make a video with stories where trans people were seen as their own sibling. a lot of people I knew when I lived as a girl ask me if she (me) is my sister now.
Ok I have been watching your videos for so long and you helped inspire me to come out as FTM, I’ve been on T for about 7 months now and just got top surgery 2 days ago. Now I’m the happiest I’ve been my entire life. I just wanna say to you and all the other trans youtubers that you’ve been so helpful in my journey, thank you.

They're definitely contacts, so I'm praising his style choice, not his uncontrollable appearance. :) I really enjoyed his personality as well. Gotta go sub to his channel now.
You two are so fun together! :) And yeah, being in my 30s and sounding like an adult but not knowing how old I look and whether I pass or not... It's certainly interesting. Always looked way younger than I am and never liked it. I was always condescendingly told "one day you'll learn to appreciate it lol". Just as I was starting to look my age... I started my FTM transition x'D
I kinda like the pale green color. I'd like to know if that green is his natural color eyes or contact lenses. He's got a pair of red contact lenses. Now THAT is terrifying.
I’ve got a couple that happened in the same week. For reference, I’m a really short AFAB and even when I’m assumed female I look younger than I am. I was buying milk at a gas station and the person working at the counter asked me how old I was and sounded really concerned, even though I was literally just buying milk. So you could say I got carded while buying milk. Three days later, I again get asked how old I am at a movie theatre because kids tickets. Kids tickets are 12 and under. I’m 17. Apparently I just looked particularly young that week.
Oh gosh, I love these stories, it’s good to know almost everyone else is also as awkward as you sometimes lol The name-birthday pork thing was so wholesome thooo
The story about the pork pie made me tear up; it was just so sweet. I love both of your channels, and the crossover videos are such a joy, as are Roly's happy socks. 💕🌈💕
As a GenXer who has limited interactions with the LGBTQ community (not many where I live that I know of) I fully support anyone wanting to feel more comfortable in their skin. I love watching Jammi & Roly videos, love you guys! With that in mind... what is AFAB & AMAD? Us 'older folks' aren't up to date with terms used today. Sadly, I don't even know what terms are and aren't acceptable... things keep changing so fast. I am so proud of your generation having the courage to be your true selves. Your generation is going to make the world a better place where people are more understanding and care about each other. Don't let the haters pull you down!
This video made me laugh so hard!!! Ok this is just for fun but just this year I tried coming out to a friend who was a year younger than me. We were both in our high school gym watching a game and it was really loud in there. A formal dance was coming up and I told her I didn't want to go, my lame excuse was that the music wasn't gonna be good. She kept on insisting that I should go and I finally told her the reason why because I didn't want to wear a dress. My parents wouldn't let me go unless I was wearing one so I decided not to go. She still kept on persisting on me going so I turned to her and said I was trans. She paused and asked if I had said crayons... It was so loud in the gym she couldn't hear me. I gave up and just sat in silence. That reply gets me laughing so dam hard... CRAYONS!?
Lol my friend sent over my story. Made me laugh and I loved your reaction. Mine was the first story, which is when the packer fell out into the ocean and the dog bit it. Still laughing on about it. Hillarious.
This age thing is something really important though. I see so many trans people on the internet that feel hopeless because they think with 30 or 40 years they are too old and would never pass, when actually chances are you might look significantly younger for a long time and people will be shocked when they find out your age. When youre talking about "second puberty" you can take that quite literal and that applies for transitioning in both directions.
I never thought a pork pie would make me tear up. That story's ending is just beautiful. Hopefully the dad can help the rest of the family to come around. His reaction was so perfect, I really want to believe that between them they managed to get through to the rest of the family. There needs to be a wholesome, happy resolution for all of them, dammit! ❤
You two are super fun together. I was planning to move over to Netflix before I started the last collab video UA-cam recommended, then at the end I saw there was another and there really was no choice, I had to put it on.
RandomArt Lizard you know that when you say “I hate something, but...” that you’re lying to yourself? You obviously do like correcting people, it gives you some kind of a buzz. This is a global network, and a lot of people are commenting who have English as a second language. In Germanic and Scandinavian countries a K is always used, they don’t have a hard C. It really doesn’t matter to understanding them at all. I’m a counsellor, and I enjoy correcting people who are not emotionally intelligent, and who don’t understand themselves or realise that their fake motives are clear as glass! Spreading better emotional intelligence and compassion for differences is what I do in life. Why do you think that spreading correct spellings is so important? I don’t see the value myself, but you might have been brought up to see it as a worthwhile judgement.
I am not Trans, however at 18 I was really questioning. I went to The Clark Institute in Toronto and talked to someone and then was offered to start their reassignment supports in the Fall. That was what, for me, I needed to Not make the change. So.... the last time I got carded and refused entry to a bar I was 38! I was absolutely thrilled and passed off at the same time. I told the huge brute of a bouncer that I had a couple pairs of underwear older than him!!
😂😂😂 The urinal one reminded me of a series of whole school assemblies we had in primary school because some child (presumably not the squeamish type) kept doing things like crapping in the urinals in the boy's toilets, standing on the toilet seat to then pee onto the shelf above the the toilet and smearing their own feacese across the walls of the toilet stalls. They were never found.
Still waiting for the “dinosaurs are cool, transphobia is not“ merch

Only few have been tolerable.)
Also, bananas contain the same allergens as latex, from what I read, so that's why it's more likely that you'll be allergic to the other if you are allergic to one.
The naming day bit did not bring tears to my eyes. Shut up.

My trans fail is miss gendering myself after 5 years of be out and on testosterone for about 9 months
Ha, "miss" gendering
Same tho
Okay but I've been going by Rayne for like 5-6 years now and I still deadname myseld
It doesn't help that... I'm not out or asked my family to call me that instead but still, you'd think my internal monologue can get my name right but fjsjf
Dude, same lol
I'm a cis women and I did that as a kid 👁👄👁I knew the different but I forgot which gender I am
Honestly, Roly has the most gorgeous facial features.
Please do more videos with Roly!!! You two bounce off each other so well and I absolutely love you both ❤️🏳️🌈✌️🇬🇧

My grandma and grandpa and I went to I hop at like 9 pm for dinner. I had to pee and I was wearing a button up shirt and bow tie (I’m ftm) there was nobody in the restaurant at the time so I went into the men’s (first time doing that). My grandma followed me in there and I had to tell her to get out. That’s nit even the worse part. Like 2 minutes after I came out and sat back down, an entire basketball team came into the restaurant (like 20 guys) and almost all of them went into the bathroom RIGHT after I left 😂
Edit: that same night the waitress called me sir and I smiled cause she called me sir and she “corrected” herself cause I smile/laughed 😂 but my grandpa jumped in a said no you were right the first time.
Cool grandma!

When I was 22 in college a teacher chased me down and accused me of trespassing, saying I was too young to be in college. Im autistic and nb 🤣.
In case anyone's wondering why autistic people look younger, it's likely because we have weird collagen. There's an incredibly high prevalence of Ehlers-Danlos (a connective tissue disorder) and milder connective tissue abnormalities in autism.
@@SpecialBlanket I didn't know that about E.D. huh. Would hypermobility fall under the weird collagen thing do you think? (I'll do my own research ofc but it seems like you know a bit about it is all :)

I haven't even started watching this and I already love this collaboration.
9:31 Yes Jamie everyone knows that women don't have faces.
I work as a tour guide and I address people as "dear guest" a lot. I'm fancy and British so people sort of love it! It really works - typical situation would be "This guest is expecting two other people who haven't arrived yet" to my assistant.
Same! I'm also a tour guide and I use guest to refer to people on the tour. Sometimes visitor but I like guest better, feels friendlier
I'm to teach my friends to say "thank you, Soldier.' or 'Have a nice day, Traveller'
I'm dutch so we don't really use pronouns after a greeting or something, but instead of ladies and gentlemen, madam, sir, I think using gender-neutral titles are mysterious and cool to use. Especially if they are visibly not carrying that title.
Oooh traveller would be so good for airports and parking garages to use. That would make me so happy to hear

Jamie, you have been a major role model for me throughout the last couple years as I discovered myself, and now I've been fully out as trans since October of 2018, and I'm starting on testosterone on Friday! Thank you for helping me find the confidence to be myself!
I hope it's going well!
I love Roly's laughs, they're contagious and send me from stifled (sometimes teary eyed) giggling to holding back legit laughter-
I needed this light-hearted video. 💕 Since this is UA-cam, based on the title I expected it to be gatekeeping a la Blaire White. Like deciding person xyz isn't trans cause they don't pass as well as you. I was pleasantly surprised and so relieved by the actual content. You two are gorgeous and very funny. Thank you!

My eyes like how roly looks. I think it's the fact that his eyes are my favorite color and it's not every day I see that on a human. Just stunning! Love it.
He wears contacts a lot so they might be contacts but yeah I agree they are nice

They're definitely contacts, so I'm praising his style choice, not his uncontrollable appearance. :)
I really enjoyed his personality as well.
@10:45 I've worked retail most of my life and I usually say "have a good day, friend". Makes people smile
Roly's eyes are terrifying and beautiful at the same time
I kinda like the pale green color. I'd like to know if that green is his natural color eyes or contact lenses. He's got a pair of red contact lenses. Now THAT is terrifying.
That “punch me in the face, daddy” and Jamie’s reaction combined made me scream laughing and drop my phone omg
I laughed so hard at these stories; the pork-pie-naming-day story made me so happy

Your generation is going to make the world a better place where people are more understanding and care about each other. Don't let the haters pull you down!
I do believe that AFAB and AMAB stand for Assigned Female At Birth And Assigned Male At Birth
Y’all’s personalities are so different but it made for great content.
My favorite moment I get is when they look at me, see me as male then I open my mouth and they have the look of horror on their face
CRAYONS!?
Omg, that's awesome. You should try telling her again if you haven't already. Crayons... trans... trayons... crans...
At 14:30, Jamie should have had a packer fall out as he was standing up as an homage to the earlier trans confessions lolol.
