Of Monsters and Men use a lot of symbolism and metaphors in their music as well as different mythology. Their music is very interesting because if you look up what the song is about then listen to the music you can understand where they are coming from. Their song Human is really good and a bit more obvious as to the message.
I think your 'A sense of wonder' comment sums it up perfectly. That is exactly the feeling I have when listening to them that I was unable to put words to. Thank you.
They do have a regular music video for the song, but you look at the lyric video. I like the lyric video I like watching the guy run through the snow and just look at the lyrics appear on the screen. They also have a lyric video for the other song you reviewed, little talks. The first time I heard this song was in the Ben Stiller version of the secret life of Walter midi. If you haven’t seen it I recommend it. It’s pretty good and this song is used beautifully in the film. I’m sure there’s a clip of it on UA-cam. In fact I’ll look for one attached is a link.
I first heard this in a record shop, in Cambridge (UK), and immediately wanted to know who the band were - a short while after, I bought their CD. Sometimes you hear something that sounds 'incredible' on the FIRST listen, and for me, this was one of those occasions. 'King and Lion Heart', is possibly even better...
that's a goodway to describe the group, I think! I'm not always in the mood for their music but it does what they want it to very well, I think. if you'e taking suggestions I'd love to have you react to John Denver! he was such a lovely man, and he made such beautiful honest music, his voice is gorgeous too. The Wildlife Concert has good audio if you want a live performance (not really a MV kinda artist), Calypso, Sorry, and Rocky Mountain High are all amazing~
As a German i like the name of the musicband. In my feeling the name rooted deep in our old Storys "Of Monsters and Men" So many storys of very big and very little Monsters, Elbs, Gnomes etc..
if you like Chris Stapleton and Beth Hart you should do a reaction video to Shawn James' cover "who did that to you" by John legend or "flow" by Shawn James. you will not regret it I promise!
Hey Ty..doing a great job. Want to hear some real meaningful music..listen to Manchester Orchestra ..They Know How To Speak...Jeffrey Gaines ..Hero In Me..These are up your alley..Thanks Dan the Man
Hi Ty. Wish you would check out "societys Child " by Janis Ian. She was only 16 years old when she wrote the song back in the late sixties or early seventies.

I heard it was a metaphor for ww2
“Sense of Wonder.” Nailed it.

Absolutely love this song. Song has real deep meaning.
It's a metaphor for WWII.

Icelandic music right there, they're so underrated, with so many talents.
A great music, but not only about the meaning, the ambience too, and the details, the way they tell the story, the clip... And the goosebumps
You have to watch a live song version. She is interesting to watch.
This is one of my favourite songs. I never tire of it, no matter how many times I hear it.
What an honest, pragmatic intro; I respect that
God bless you, too! First time viewer. Great band. Have you checked out their song, Destroyer?

OMAM is absolutely my favorite band. Check out wolves without teeth. God the lyrics are so so beautiful/
Not their best song. You’d like “Little Talks” much better. Awesome video as well.
Nedbella that’s the one he already did.
I like this one better than the last one we watched.
i love the song not only the wars by every country but individual people too
It was in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

One of the episodes of the good doctor I believe was about my wife's case. It followed it along perfectly
I don't think this is the video is just the lyrics video. I found them by mistake, and I LOVE my mistake. I can't stop searching for their music now.
watch king and lionheart by the same band

This is war!
this song is about ww2
Is that Bigfoot 😂😂 I'll have to listen, again...that thing is distracting .

That sounded familiar but I can't place it. I really liked it I'm gonna add it to my Matisyahu and Stick Figure collection, they have similar sounds.
You mightve heard this in the movie Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Such an amazing & underrated movie
I blame Bjork.
I want you to listen to some of florence and the machine so bad!!
Great song!!

I find this odd.
The song? Than you didn't understand the message
Another artist who I have never heard of. The name made me think of Disney. The lyrics confused me. Instrumental was good. Not my genre of music.
Like again :)
