Lockjaw is fun again! As I said in the video, I REALLY liked the first deck I spoke about, Lockjaw Ray Bill. However, I think Gwenpool needs to be switched out for a better performing card. I suggest either Odin or Grandmaster, but I am sure you all will come up with other alternate ideas. Gwenpool was fine, but I think that she is ultimately the weak link.
I had Twitch playing for 6 hours as it was changing to different Snap creators and I remember coming home and see you were on the screen and the first thing I heard was “Lockjaw is a good boy” or something like that and then I just pull up YT and see this video lol in my subscriptions
I wasn't planning on opening spotlights just for Beta Ray, but I might have to. So much up and down in the 90s rank that I'm willing to try a Lockjaw deck.
Regarding the 2400g for a spotlight variant: People keep saying it's "fair" online because it's a really rare item and costs a key. But they're all ignoring the fact when you don't get a variant on a random 1/4 first pull and instead get a card you already HAVE, they only give you 1000 tokens for your key. Stop simping for SD greed people.
I would argue that 2400g is fair for something that originally was supposed to never be available again, but it is ALSO true that getting only 1000 tokens when spending a key for a card you already have is complete BS. I could MAYBE even accept it if they made it 1000 tokens for a series 4 and something more for a series 5. MAYBE.
Lockjaw may not be back entirely but Sauron might be lol. Idk if it was just luck but I went up damn near 70 cubes using a traditional Sauron/shuri list last night. Only newer card I was using was red hulk. I’m not sure if people just didn’t respect the deck or maybe some of the people haven’t been around long enough to see how strong it can be but I was just inhaling cubes left and right. Got 5 8 cubers lol
I love lockjaw. I get that people draw comparisons to hela because there is some randomness to him. But here’s the rub; with lockjaw you have to track your deck and play to your outs on what’s left in the deck. And sure, you can do similarish things with hela by say stacking lane closed to dictate the pattern of the resurrects but hela is sooooo much more random crapbag crapshoot. At least with lockjaw too it’s face up when I’m playing Thor and beta. You can priority dodge and tech with SK or Shang if I get a good roll. You can also track my hand size / track my draws with Jane. TLDR: lockjaw has casino elements but is much less of a random “I win no skill” type card than hela. I love good doggo, I hate hela.
Definetly gonna try that first one that original darkhawk ray bill was my favourite deck of all time I also saw that they are 2400gold but I don’t really mind that much considering those variants were technically worth a whole spotlight key, I’m more upset at the fomo black borders
I'm trying so hard to make a Pixie/LockJaw/Asgardian deck and it's not yet perfect, but it's working well for me! Magneto wrecks me though. I need a good way to get around him.
Man all this Lockjaw talk has me wanting to use keys to get Bill. But I feel he's going to be a likely candidate for the next series drop (whenever that happens). Want to save my keys for other things

thx Alex this was actually a 0/3 week for me so it was great to finally play a more optimal jane and incorporate all my key usage in one deck too!

Viper + eletro + jeff is still amazing in my eyes, eletro blink and eletro sersi also works too but i love the viper combo the best
