- The 26th edition of Impossible Climb Lamure sur Azergues, final round of 2023 French Championship, was a complete Sunday feast for the French fans.
Being only 1h far from France’s gastro capital, Lyon, Lamur sur Azergues is a beautiful village at the heart of Rhône Alps and home to Moto Club Croix de Borsat.
It was a bright sunny day and more than two thousand people came to enjoy the race. The race consists of four heats (Montee 1, 2, 3, 4) and a Super Final where the fastest 12 runs for it one more time.
The 210m long track, which is intercepted with several steps, was not the hardest to climb but it sure is a tricky one. Two riders crashed and broke their swings arms at the last step of the hill where it was the most trickiest.

Felt for the guy with the snapped swing arm but as a welder fabricator that didn't look anywhere near strong enough

Could be Barry. All I see in this hill climb is a lot of injuries or near misses. Maybe if I saw it in person I would not need to "wonder." Someone like Graham Jarvis would fly up this hill on his Husqvarna 300 cc Hard Enduro bike. Same can be said for most Trials riders. This looked like a meat grinder for making able bodied riders paraplegics. @@barrycoughlan7382

This climb looks much easier than the German ( & other French) ones.
Oooh,that last part is so treacherous,if you set in to fast you either brake your swing arm or your teeth and ribs on your handle bars 🤭
This is french championship hill climbing, just hand made bike is autorized you cannot use stock machine , the stock machine is less speed than spécial bike

Sur qu avec une cross ou un enduro stock ça passe encore mieux...
C'est vrai que le tracé est bien différent de d'habitude, les motos sont pas tellement adaptées au vue du nombre de BO cassés en 2.
