Last year, I told my son and Best friend that I was done with CoD. My bestie bought MWIII for me and I played the Beta, and I'll tell you that the beta stage was awesome and fun. I popped the game on after launch, played 17 games for a total of 1hr27min and figured out that I got duped. Activision has the ability to put out a fun game, they just don't want to. A theory that I've been trying to spin is how SBMM is the modern day equivalent to "Everybody gets a trophy" What's more WOKE than everybody gets an even K/D or W/L?
Second, I'm an Xbox player. The game has been unplayable since S4 reloaded. MWZ, REBIRTH, AND WZ are all laggy as s***. In rebirth, I find that the lag happens for a couple of reasons:
Loadout drops
as soon as i go past my normal average kill count. So once i hit 6 or 7 kills, the game turns into BO2 off of WIFI. It almost feels deliberate and intentional on Activisions behalf.
Like a couple weeks ago the lag started. It usually kicks in when you're having a good game. Never had it a whole game, and if it's atrocious...I'll just back out. I wondered if people were trying lag switches again. Wouldn't surprise me if it still works.
This is always happening to me. Every time Activision releases a new season I do not get severe lag. The game plays smoothly for me. But then when Activision runs it's 1st or 2nd update, I start getting lag so bad that my latency meter and packet loss skyrockets into the red. And the lagging lasts for the whole entire season with zero fixes. It feels like to me that all Activision cares about is just making money and not caring about their servers and the COD players.
One thing I'm suspecting is that it's people using cheats that are causing the game to lag. The moment I start seeing rubberbanding or stutters I immediately go "Yeah, there's a cheater in the lobby" and then boom there's a person that is likely cheating.
I don't get much true lag, but I often get rubber banding.
Usually when I run a quick loadout, like the server thinks I've moved further than I was supposed to, then resetting my position(Pushing me back).
Same here on PS5 from Europe even on fibre connection …getting into game is for your next birthday…and then lagging is already going on already for weeks….but guess what, store works on lightning speed!
That’s why they have to use the same MAPS 🗺️ over and over it’s 😡 the same fucking engine and servers

I've been wondering why the hell was so damn bad. Waited for a few minutes to even get in the lobby. I just feel like I'm running in mud and doing a damn slow motion gig in some 80s action film without the hot blonde or brunette telling me i can do it. Instead its my bully Zeus cutting air biscuits and snoring. Yelling at the screen saying i have fiber not dial up.
you want to add to the list, if you play ground war or invasion when looking at a distance a player will be a default skin then when you use a sniper and zoom in on them their skin changes.
Cod internet is d o g s h i t. I thought it was my problem but it’s not. I have a 4090, 5959 cpu, 64gb ram, gig internet and I STILL LAG. I gave up a long time ago. I can’t do much else. No other game skips as much as CoD does.

For some strange reason the cheat as broke and it makes u lag and any one who comes near u in game will lag but soon as they move away from u they will stop laging

Guys, mess with the texture settings in cod app. But only do this if you have no capped internet. When I increased the setting to 50 gigs😂😢💀, the lag dissappear but I still get some rubber banding here and there. Just not as bad as before. Or search up UA-cam more about the texture packs making the game lag more.
@@NullFame do you have any idea how powerful a 4090 with an R9 is? I can literally run cyberpunk at MAX settings and get 200 fps. CoD is poorly programmed.

Just my personal tinfoil hat. We know that they’ve engaged some new real time scanning techniques to detect potential cheating. I can also say that in my experience these lag fests start mid game for me more often than no and virtually always when SOMEONE (could be in my team or the opponents) is just WRECKING a lobby.
I think whatever scans they’re doing have the impact of slowing server response due to analyzing all of the input.
That’s one of the reasons why I stop playing this game the lag my router is sitting right beside my Xbox and I still have lag I haven’t played call of duty since Cold War they need competition and then they will fix all of these things they just doing whatever they wanna do they don’t care the money is coming in keep up the good work

I get into a match and I have to wait 3-5 minutes into the match or I have to die first before I can get my weapon. And near the end of a map it starts lagging bad. I thought it was just me.
I remember back in the day the word on the grapevine about dedi servers was that it was too easy for people to abuse/cheat the system and because too many salty hosts were kicking entire lobbies when they weren't winning
They would kick you migrating lobbies was annoying as hell

When your good it’s try to find a lobby at your skill level it won’t let you play in a regular lobby it’s doing it on purpose
The lag has been horrendous since season 4 came out. It was bad before but it has been worse. I was disconnected twice yesterday within 10 minutes. My character kept popping on different side of map. I was on a roof of the shack between the tanker and A in Rust, then I appeared behind C then lagged B... Couldn't even move.... Then disconnected. Lol
The lag is so bad at the moment but what do we expect from out dated very old 10 tick servers having to deal with eomm , players in lobbies and how much is going on like killstreaks
I have 3 main stays that I play with every day, they are all on Xbox and I'm on PC. One of them has horrible lag issues almost every game, she has to restart her Xbox every 2-3 games where the other 2 Xbox users don't have nearly as much lag issue while myself on the PC almost never has lag but I get insane packet burst. it seems so inconsistent across platforms and I have more issues with fighting ppl in game that have lag rather than myself having lag which is just as bad because my enemy just evaporates and reappears behind me.

the fucking shader cache thing is annoying some times it even bugs out if you reinstalled your graphics drivers and the shader cache never fully installs...
then you got the packet loss out of nowhere in the game along with buggy updates.
Its been just fine for me only time i lag is when i try equip something in my backpack and its full i get stuck 8 seconds, unless i drop it the equip.

My friend and I play on Xbox. She has an Xbox one. The base console. I have a series X. She is constantly lagging, more then I ever do. The theory is that the older the console, the worse the play. Now this isn’t just hardware fault. Until the season 4 patch, she didn’t have any of these lag problems. On console, I think they are purposely giving problems to the lower console in attempt to force the player to update hardware.

Hey shorty we're you around last week when the store was down? It took them 5 minutes to fix it after it was reported but they can't seem to fix any of the other issues like lag and packet burst, or get an actual anti cheat.
I’ll tell ya why the LAG they have told us we have a new engine for COD and have multiple over the years BUTTTTTTTTTTT really we are still running same ENGINE same SERVERS seriously 😒 they have not made new engines or servers ever they reuse ♻️ old servers for new games that’s WHY they CRASH 💥 and LAG non stop 🛑
I played yesterday for the first time in months and we have lighting fast fibre optic going straight into the computer, so it's not just us then lol it did an update mid game I had unlocked the numbers Woods operator until it did that 😅 had to load it up and get more xp and unlock it again and kept throwing us in mid match or towards the end it's a mess felt like I was running through glue really slow, if it wasn't for the fact my kids enjoy it, it would be straight in the trash .
I bought the battle pass and have no intereest in getting MY MONEYS WORTH because the fucking lag us SUCH A TURN OFF. ABSOLUTELY ABYMSAL LAG AND LATENCY AND PACKET LOSS AND RUBBER BANDING.

Since the start of season 4 ive been getting high latency, packet loss, latency variation in every single game. i went to XDefiant and I was not having issues to that extent. I hard reset my modem/router (from Rogers) as well and it still was happening. Eventually i just gave up and uninstalled after week 1 of season 4.
Im playing on Wifi but my speed tests is showing me 240mbps down and 150mbps up, on a 1gb connection speed. The should absolutely no reason why i should be dealing with that. i played cod on wifi on PS3 with a 50mbps connection and i can say without a doubt that my connection was better.
Im upgrading my wifi card today to see if there is any improvement. hopefully i wont have to upgrade my router next. regardless, i should not have to be dealing with this mess that the game gives me.
This update and all as messed my xbox one up it now overheated my console with all ant fair when people carnt aferd another xbox is bad

Hello fellow Albertan! I recently upgraded my internet (pure fibre optic). I get 940Mbps-950Mbps Download and upload. I've been lagging for a few months. I thought, okay, I have fast and good internet, I should play with hardly any lag or issues now. Nope! It's taking longer to load and I am lagging badly. I like Warzone! I like Modern Warfare! Call me crazy, I bought the full game and I also buy the Battle Pass. I usually finish the Battle Pass in about a week. the last Battle Pass, I got to 98% completed. I only had 1 section to complete. But a few days before the Battle Pass ended. I would log in, it always showed 98% complete. Random sections would show as not completed. I contact Activision, I explain the issue. They respond about 48 hours later (no solution or fix) and close the ticket. I create another ticket asking for my money back (since they refuse to help me with any issues). Each ticket is closed! And they even say, yes we are aware of certain issues. We hope you enjoy the game. Activision are a bunch of thieves! They are useless! You'd think, such a popular game, they would invest in fixing the issues and have a smooth running game!
i reported this issue to Activision im in New Zealand and havent heard back from them

Bro it's fucking unplayable on PC right now. Says I'm on 19 ping, and it's just constant packet bursts, dropping to 12fps. Not even mentioning the menu & firing range lag where it barely gets above 20fps.

What’s the point on having 1. Good internet 2. High end console or pc if the game lags to the point where it’s unplayable but the store I rather play Fortnite at least they listen to their community and fix their shit but not cod you always lag the most of the time you end up in late games

Cheats. When a large population of cheaters is present in a given server it will often cause lag as all the extra data that is being scraped and fed to cheaters and rewritten to the server by their injection systems congest the normally streamlined services. When I was a moderator some years ago and we policed servers in real time, we would often be able to find the largest groups of cheaters simply by watching feedback in real time from players complaining about extreme lag in their matches. It will likely continue to be like this until the next major ban wave cleans up the traffic for a few days, then as everyone begins jumping on their new accounts and slowly funneling the cheats back in, it will happen all over again.

Yes! I play all sorts of games but cod is a mentality thing I guess. It's like alcohol, small quantities won't really change you, but all day everyday....you lose your friends and family and some humanity.
