Brought back wonderful childhood memories!
This man is so missed. What a talent gone. Love his sense of humor.
Yes Roy Clark was one in a million.
One time Roy played a classic on Johnny Carson show and Johnny cried. He was magic on guitar. Now he can play in heaven..
Doesn't matter what age, we all should remember this one!

I got pulled over one time for doing 57 in a 50. Cop walks up to my window and asks how come i was going so fast. I said "truth be told officer, my wife just left me for a cop and i thought you were bringing her back!"
Thank you Mr. Clark. You gave me such happiness and joy as a little child watching you play and sing. I will alway remember the good ole days watching you on Hee Haw. RIP😢

This reminds me of my 2nd ex wife. She ran off with a Marine. I never did get to thank him.
Hey Fordman! I had one of those too. Paid 100 bucks for it and it lasted over a year. Pretty good for me in those days!
who wrote the song?
I actually met the writer at my attorneys office in Marietta ga but I can't recall his name to many years ago!
@@charlesspears4180, Larry Kingston and John Edward Nix.

I didn't learn after the first time. I had to make a 2nd trip to the bus station.
Different but just as much feel as the original.
Roy Clarke was to funny 🙏
Kind of a funny little ditty, but it is just another reason Roy will be greatly missed.
watched roy and buck many a night on hee-haw
I knew one just like her. Could be the same WOMAN?
My Dad loved this song! Anyone else notice how hard it's become to find the original recording of so many classic country songs? Very frustrating, I don't want to hear 🤔... Merle's 83 rerecording of "Branded Man" or George's 91 rerecording of "She stopped loving her today" 😠
Are they all South Paws ?
They use to sing this Song on that show with Roy Clark???
Rip roy
Put my third wife on a a North bound Greyhound outta Knoxville,,, $ well spent!!!
Hello from knoxville tn!!
A cop pulled me over and angrily demanded to know why I ran from him. I said "My ex-wife ran off with a cop and I thought you were bringing her back".
