Amazing video! I want to buy a 2010 model with 230km and a 2.0 turbo diesel engine. My Mechanic told me that this will be the biggest mistake I will ever do, because this engine has issues that cost a lot to fix. I searched and I saw reviews like 70% of the cars had DPF issues. Are you happy with it?
Im driving a 2010 model with a Gen 3 engine since about 150k km... it got heavy DPF issues at around 90k km and my EGR was fked up. Replaced EGR (and deactivated it per software) as well replaced DPF with a replacement pipe and ofc programmed it out of the ECU. If you are fine with INSTANTLY removing the DPF and do proper chip tuning especially including proper deactivation of DPF and EGR.... ITS A SUPER AWESOME CAR (and engine). If you want to stick to the "legit" version of this engine... DONT BUY! Im running 190HP with a stronger clutch as it was already a bit too worn once so it got already before the tuning replaced with a better one. (but i guess the stock one is also just fine up to 200HP or 500Nm) I really love the car, its just a bit "too heavy" considering its just a small car but i am used to cars which are normally 400-650kg lighter. (Golf 3 Cabrio and an old Mitsubishi Lancer, 1200kg and 950kg each) In overall its a super daily and can be fun, but its pretty annoying when you have to transport something, there is adequate space considering its a small car, but really not much and the interieurs design make some bigger things hard to transport (for example my telescope/astrophotography gear, the car is exactly wide enough for just the tripod!)
what are these subaru boxer diesels like ? really want to get one but heard they have a lot of problems with them ? people say they have had crankshafts to go on them. thanks.

The Euro4 from 2008 till 2010 has Some issues, the Diesel from 2011 till 2018 runs very good. It s Euro 5 and Euro 6 Type.
I have on (90K kms) : not for sure a sport engine (specially manual gear and minor problems with EGR)
i have a 2011 diesel, tuned to 180hp and it's got 140k's on it and i've had no problems what so ever. superb winter vehicle
