Smile from the Streets You Hold is the second album by John Frusciante released on August 26, 1997.
Filmed in early 1997 by M. Polish and edited by J. F. Kinyon under the direction of John Frusciante himself.
This footage was shot specifically for this music video (as hard as that may be for some to believe) but was never officially released to the public.
The song "Life's a Bath" is from the scarce out-of-print record "Smile from the streets you hold" which was recorded around the same time this footage was shot and edited.
In our opinion, if you have no problem listening to the music on this album you should have no problem seeing the conditions under which it was created. This video is just as dark as the music on the record and if anything, is a cautionary tale for all.
