I don't understand how they recorded this awesome audio there ... guess the guitars are plugged in - but I can't see any vocal mics ... hum ... very well done though.
+MisterNoHead The Husband and I were trying to figure this out too. Wondering if it's just the use of a lot of hidden mics selectively aimed and some great remixing.
I have wondered this for a long time and I am a recording engineer... I believe the guitars and bass have a wireless system going... Because you can't see cables on the ground or dangling, but you can see them plugged in. As far as vocal mic... He probably has a clip on mix somewhere or maybe there is a guy with a boom mic overhead of them as a film would record audio. Notice he is singing louder than normal, and maybe this is due to projecting for the boom to pick up. It could also be a shotgun mic pointed from a far at him. I don't see a snare mic, but maybe they have a small clip on for that... Like a DPA or something high quality but tiny. I always loved the natural sound of these sessions. Makes you feel like you are there listening to them.
Grew up watching this whole movie music in high places was my childhood. Thank you Ryan for everything.
I still got this on DVD 👌
Just WRECK IT ALL love
Badass video. #RyanAdams4Life
Flawless, wow !!
Tough crowd
Does anyone know what ket the harmonica is in? The song is A#, but I dont think the harmonica is A#?
Eb. Harmonicas often play in a key a fifth up from their tuning--so an Eb harmonica might play in Bb (A#).
Yeah Ryan plays an Eb harp a lot!
Capo 3, write in G (which is Bb), and you've got it.
The technical term is playing crossharp.
pedazo de video ¡¡¡¡
Can´t seem to find the Jamaica live version of To be young. Is it gone? Does anybody have it, by any chance?
never imagined to be good make-out music. :P lol

His remote vocal mic was taped to the inside of his guitar strap. We saw this on the whole show which now seems to be unavailable.
