Yamaha has brought out a game changer in custom installations, the XDA-QS5400. A 4 zone quad streaming amplifier, "QS" for short, mounted into a 1U rack is designed specifically for custom-integrated multi room audio. The setup you get with the QS-5400 offers unrivaled installation flexibility and audio performance. Not to mention the compatibility you get with the huge range of pre existing MusicCast products.
The 4 zones are each set with their own MusicCast streaming modules and each have 2 ICE power amplifiers driving 50Wpc into 8 Ohms. The quadstreamer also has 2 onboard DACS, including the one used in Yamaha's flagship home theatre receiver, the ESS9026 Pro amp DAC.
