      Ohh I thought it was the color underneath your skin the ones you'll see in between muscles, like fat or connecting tissue between muscles or muscle itself , or like chicken meat. I don't think it's supposed to be the color of the skin🤔 , by definition it's not skin, it's the layer in between skin and Bones.

I wish you would do more projects with watercolor markers for a really love the gradient of color and the quickness of doing a project. So while you have some projects, you just need more! And more with the new and upcoming subjects! Thank you Karen for sharing this, and taking a hit for the team by buying all these art supplies. 😊

    Hi Karen and friends! I know that Faber Castell watercolor markers are one of your favorites but I'm wondering if you or any of your friends have tried the Arteza Everblend Ultra H2o markers? Are they comparable to the Faber Castell?

    • @KarenCampbellArtist
      @KarenCampbellArtist  Рік тому

      Arteza is a craft brand so they may activate great! But they’ll be filled with dye based watersoluble ink like their other waterbased products! Which I do love too! But they aren’t lightfast.

    They are a very good product, however be careful how they are stored as they can leak. Mine are left in the box and stored flat but there are 3 colours that have leaked so far and I live in UK so no extreme weather. The really good thing about these markers is you can draw with them and go back 30 minutes or even 60 minutes after and they will still dissolve with water as though you have just laid down the colour.

    Thank you for this video. one big disadvantage of these pencils is the price, which is almost double that of a paint set. Otherwise, I've tried them for the advantage of being able to carry them around easily.

    • @KarenCampbellArtist
      @KarenCampbellArtist  8 місяців тому +1

      Agreed! But like all fine art products you do actually get what you pay for (and in these case being lightfastness and so purely pigmented is worth it in my opinion- that and I’m just a hoarder 😂)

    The Windsor and Newton are cheaper in the UK. I’ve found individuals for under £4 and a set of 6 for £20. I think brands price differently for different countries 🤷🏻‍♀️ Can I ask which watercolour paper you were using for the test please as non of my watercolour pens in any brand release colour like that! I have some Tombow and others as well as some Karin markers which were expensive and unfortunately I find vary with colour as to how well they work! Thanks

    That winsor newton price is not correct. I have a 24 set I paid around $60 for. Now that was like 20% off or something. And the set of 12 regular price was like $45 or 50. I like the FC better but they are slightly more expensive, but comperable.

    Are these alcohol based Faber-Castell watercolor markers ?

    • @KarenCampbellArtist
      @KarenCampbellArtist  2 роки тому +1

      So either markers are either alcohol based OR waterbased and the waterbased ones are the ones that “melt” like watercolors.
      So these are water-based and yet even more special because they have done art quality watercolors inside! . I hope that helps!
