@@TonysBonsai thanks Tony I may not be the greatest bonsai artist and can find it difficult sometimes but doing my best keeps my hands and arms moving
I don't think any of us will be able to compete with the top professionals, but I think that's fine. The joy it brings us just enjoying working on and looking at our trees is what makes it worthwhile!
Although sometimes, I find it difficult to find things to smile about in this current world we have to live in, seeing yours has given me something to smile about.
Tony. I know this video is from awhile ago. But I wanted to share with you that i know exactly the feeling you felt when you noticed your face move again. Over 30 years ago when i was a teenager I had a major head injury. Some irresponsible people were shooting guns and target practicing in the woods near my home. It was remote, vast, dense logging land so you wouldn't really know there was a home there through the trees. My cousin and I were outside and heard the shooting. So being the brilliant teenage boys we were we started walking out to where we thoughtthey were. A bullet came through the trees and hit me in my forehead. It went in inside my hairline and stopped back by my ear area inside my brain. Long story short, I survived but became totally paralyzed on my left side at first. A few weeks after the accident, I noticed a slight movement in my leg. I can still remember very very clearly that moment when I could move those muscles for the first time. Since then i have regained movement in of my left side except my hand and foot. My face is kind of like yours but with a little more movement now after all these years. I developed an interest in plants and bonsai because they don't care if i walk with a limp or if i can only use one hand. Thank you for sharing your journey and your trees. You're really an inspiration. It takes ałot of courage to put yourself out there and show that you do things they best way you can. Thank you so much!
Just found your channel and have subscribed. Congratulations on your good news. I just had my third surgery this year for nose cancer. My plastic surgeon just repaired the damage done to remove the cancer. I currently have a flap from my forehead attached to my nose and it will be removed on August 30. This is the second time this year that I have had this surgery. They considered a flap from my cheek but said it would permanently affect my smile. So I can kind of understand what you have been through. You inspire me. Thanks for sharing.
