- Pakistan is in the middle of political chaos-and one man is at the center of it all. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was ousted last year in a no-confidence vote, but polls suggest he remains the country’s most popular political leader.
Within a year of being removed from office, 70-year-old Khan has survived an assassination attempt and faces dozens of new charges ranging from corruption, terrorism to sedition. The current government has branded the popular politician known for his philanthropy and cricket career as a "militant" and attempted to arrest him using excessive force, while tear gassing, attacking and arresting his supporters. Khan believes the charges against him are political persecution tactics meant to distract him from campaigning for elections due this year.
VICE World News’ Isobel Yeung sat down with Khan at his home in Lahore on March 6, 2023.

This guy seems very reasonable. It's easy for us Westerners to sit on the sidelines and miss the crucial details. The world has very dynamic issues and to fight these it takes much more than our point of view.
the guy's a classic demagogue. A product of military establishment running amok. Thrives on western funding while calling the same west an enemy in front of the public. Also supports the taliban in the same breath. He would glorify nazis if it got him votes. He called bin laden a martyr..a hero while lobbying in USA.

This man has the secret recipe to make Pakistan super power. If he would have been PM of Pakistan for 10 years, Pakistan would be competing with US. Thankfully, US did not let that happen. Pakistani military officials serve US and that's a wonderful thing. Whenever US asks them to jump and they ask how high? Who can get such loyal servants for US to serve their interests? We need to make sure this guy's secret recipe doesn't fall into other people's hands.

regarding Afghanistan human right I sorry I have to see it another way and stand out with what Thomas Friedman say's: he said that we must leave these people be and maybe bring them to the mainstream
1. those people fought wars for over a 20 years they did not have the privilege to be developed Philosocially but rather only militarily as if they only got internet and communication today and as they start to make there own internal discourse they will gradually start to understand how they can give the right amount of concerns regarding human right .... that takes experience
2. these are people Deeply religious Muslim so in terms of right of wrong they have there own 1400 Islamic traditions and archive and they will make and international yet still internal Islamic discourse to crystalize there worldly perception in term of what are they right laws and order .... (remember that the American democracies which every needs to learn )from took about 800 years to be Crytal clear to the American conscious .... and with the help of internet , this evolvement may take only years (god forbid) a decade but eventually will integrate to the world
3.the American turn only in some years from overwhelming majority to hate gay people to an overwhelming majority who defend there right and has been done just through art and films
