Gimme monies: My Patreon (bit.ly/3xXZYP3) and Ko-Fi (bit.ly/3HRAnw1) Here's the new video! This one got WAYYYY out of hand. I originally intended to make a quick 10-minute video, but here it is at 18 minutes. I also broke my usual form with the thumbnail by making the first thing I talked about in the video most prominent. If I had the time, I might've actually restructured the video... which is something I just thought of as I write this. If I thought of it like 2 hours ago this video would be way different... huh.
Thank goodness for Seven Seas and Yen Press for supporting the furry manga scene in the west. Seven Seas has The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store out on the 13th as well as My Boyfriend is a Dog out in October and Yen has With You, Our Love Will Make It Through out in December.
My recommendation is a Manhwa series called "Solo Farming in the tower" Not to be confused with another solo series that got an anime series recently. Solo Farming is a more down to earth series where the man character isn't over powered in any way. He manages to stumble into the tower dungeon armed only with some cherry tomatoes, an apple and some green onions and got trapped at the bottom of a cave. Trying to survive as long as he can he starts planting the seeds he can to grow more food only to learn that the dungeon soil is super fertile and the never setting fake sun is perfect for growing stuff. Meaning his crops grow an insane rate. Shortly after this he is discovered by a pair of rabbits who ask to join his farm. And from there it keeps going. The main reason why most of the monsters in the dungeon are so hostile is because... there is no god damn food! And as it turns out, being a 20 foot tall burly minotaur man makes it very difficult to grow tiny crops. But you definitely need a small mountain of stuff just to prevent starvation. So as the MC's farm expands he gets more and more animal and monster friends who want to keep him safe so he can cook food for them. The series is updated weekly and has a large number of monsters who help out. Starting with Farmer Rabbits who have no homes, a failed cat merchant, a mama bear and her cub, a teenage Dragon who develops a crush on the MC, a small army of Burly Minotaur warriors and most recently a tribe of native American styled Wolves as well as the worlds most dangerous mage, who just so happens to be a hamster. Many of whom start off as antagonists but quickly turn to the MC's side when he sits them down and listens to their problems and comes up with a solution for them. Usually involving farming. The pace is slow but never boring but for those that want to binge the whole series, you are going to have to wait a long ass time. The manhwa is only around chapter 70+.... with the webnovel well past the 700+ mark when it wrapped up the main story arc. With a side story that is still ongoing.
@@FuuriKuuri99 Yeah the original translated name wasn't any better. "Farming in the tower alone". Yes he is the only human but he is clearly not alone.
@@FuuriKuuri99 I actually just binge read this not even 24 hours ago. The highlight of the Webtoons is definitely the shameless, peddling cat. It's chill
The Fox and Little Tanuki really is a great story! ☺️ The mangaka has also started a new story recently that I'm definitely pick up once it starts getting translated!
I still keep track of "Hakumei to Mikochi", which has so many animal characters in a fascinating little world that's both whimsical and magical, and yet feels so incredible realistic and genuine. I bought the first 10 volumes, and will soon be getting #11.
There's a manga artist out there named Sho Shibamoto that I really recommend to furry manga readers. Unlike the works listed in this video, the character designs in his manga are the _perfect_ amount of anthro. No humans with animal ears. No straight up animals that walk on all fours. (And with my condolences to the furry bara enjoyers, no buff animal men). Just good ol' fashioned animal people in a world that'll probably remind you a lot of the Tail Concerto universe. (And also, Sho is really into anthro fox girls. They're to Sho what women's feet are to Quentin Tarantino.) I recommend starting with Pandemonium Wizard Village. It's a very bittersweet tale with more emphasis on the "sweet" part. It also has a really Tim Burton-esque vibe that I really enjoy.
This is really late but thank you for bringing this to my attention. I really love cute furry art the most and this REALLY hit the mark. Unfortunately, I only found 3 stories that went by way too fast. You are a blessing.

thank you for this, i got something new to read. I really want to buy The fox and the little tanuki but freakin tokyopop is ruining the cover with it ugly logo .why can they put on the back or on the side
Beastrings has really good art, but that's all has going for it. The writing is pretty lackluster, and the story rushes towards the end without every giving a proper explanation to what is happening.
Well, most of those furry mangas are very good, but for not-good side, they're STRAIGHT furry mangas, cuz I didn't see any gay or human males protags in those mangas, so idk if I want to read them, maybe I'll still give it a try
You could wait for Beast of Tokyo manga which has a gay protagonist, I can't tell yet what it us about since it didn't get release but my friend has sent me a script, and I can tell, it's going to have the same quality of story and feeling as Tokyo Ghoul manga

I've definitely heard of that one before. I think the reason I passed over it was the very generic name.

started because of the cute rabbits but stayed because of Ox 4

Thanks for the recommendations!
11:06 My favorite manga without a doubt 🗣️🔥🔥🔥‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
My Boss is a beast looks nice...kinda wish it was BL but eh, also the little lonely Atlas just broke my heart.
Reborn as a Polar Bear is a good one with lots of action but can be a bit pervy at times.😑
I definitely would've read it and probably covered it if it was getting consistent translations
Ahh *I see*
What’s the third furry anime called at the start of this video? 🐦⬛
It's called "Tonari no Yōkai-san". It aired fairly recently.
@@FuuriKuuri99 Thanks 👍
I also have a recommendation: Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees
By Patrick Horvath. This is if you like murder mystery thrillers.
