The way to improve your dye uptake is add more vinegar or citric acid, then heat (200 degrees F) for 40 minutes. Repeat until all dye strike your wool. The key is patience (what I've had to secede). Reds can take longer than the blues, too. Some blues will separate into their constituents, sometimes. They can sometimes "violet-out," and you can even get some blacks out of your blues, too. In summary, it just takes patience and perseverance. But, I digress. I LOVE your videos. I've learned the most from watching you and practicing until I have sore fingers. 😂❤ It's all about muscle memory.
Beautiful 😍 It’s like magic! I’ve not tried diz-ing yet, it’s on my list! It’s amazing how you work across ways. I hope the school hols are going well. Stay safe and well. ❤️ Hugs from Huncoat! Xxx
That turned out beautiful! I need to try that technique. I have a lot of wool I need to spin, and a week ago I bought 30 oz of fiber that was on sale for 40% off. I had just found out my pregnancy was failing, and I thought buying pretty fiber on sale would temporarily make me feel better.
Hi Sadie, I hope you're all well 💝 xx Thankyou so much for sharing this video podcast on how to "Diz Roving on your Blending Board "!!! This is much appreciated. Hope you get to enjoy whatever you're doing 🙂 Take care and stay safe dear Spin Sister ❤ Lots of love and Big Hugs Jen xxxx 🐏 🫂 💖 😘❤❣🐏
So pretty Sadie! I love spinning with fibers that are dizzed off from either the drum carder or blending board. The fibers are certainly looser to spin.
This is amazing! So relaxing to watch 😊
I'm so glad you enjoyed it xx
Thank you! I've been trying to learn and this video really helped me to understand the process!
I'm so glad I was able to help and remember you will find your own rhythm xx
Those blends are gorgeous, thanks.
Thank you for watching and welcome to the fiber family x
