"Times of Trouble " version by Eddie makes me feel the sensitivity and emotional roller coaster of life. Chris and Eddy's duo is the courageous, heartfelt, gut wrenching rendition of a song which is razor sharp.Looking at the pic shows two best friends who understand the beauty of just being in the moment. Two rare and unique men who connected on every level.
You couldn’t have articulated that any better. 💔😭
Brilliant!!!! My ears are in absolute heaven. New favorite song, just audibly gorgeous....bravo! Been talking about these 2 songs needing this for 20+ years....
Glad you enjoyed it!
I agree!!
The last vocal lines in the song, that harmony both voices make, gives me the chills. Great job!
To me, it seems Chris is featured but I am listening to Eddie.
Two of my favorite artists of all time wrote words to the same music and you put this together, makes me wish I could write a 3rd version and somehow be on their level.
This is euphoric.
This is a master piece. This song makes me cry and laugh at the same moment. Amazing...
Amazing! Love both versions, but hearing them mixed is stellar!
This sounds absolutely great. Just as I thought it would. Thanks so much for making and uploading it. I've been listening to both songs and love both.
I have actually been asking for this. Thank you
Cyndi King well you’re a freaking genius cause this is beautiful
Absolutely Beautiful
This is cool. Never heard them mashed together. Great job!
You did an outstanding job! Bravo!
Thank you!
I wish this mashup on my Spotify! Perfect!

OMG..got chills ❤
Ought to be my personal favourite. Thanks Chris for every thing.
sounds great!
glad you enjoyed it :)
Exquisite ! Nice you figured it out.
Well done, I love both versions.
Here I found the story behind:
"Temple of the Dog and Pearl Jam share their city (Seattle), share band members (Mike McCready, Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament & Eddie Vedder) and also share the same guitar riff for their respective songs. Here’s how it breaks down…
Eddie Vedder heard an instrumental version of a Gossard song he had recorded with Ament and McCready and wrote the lyrics to “Footsteps“. At the very same time, the guys were putting together the Temple of the Dog album where Chris Cornell heard that song and really, really liked so he semi-rearranged it to fit some words.
Technically speaking, Vedder’s version came first. As Vedder says,"
VERTICALITY
Cornell wrote the music, not Gossard
Eddie wrote lyrics to Footsteps for the Mamason tape before even meeting Stone, Jeff and the others in Seattle. And I heard Chris in some interview say that he didn't know about Footsteps, so I guess they must have written the lyrics independently to Gossards chords. Not sure which one was first, but I am pretty sure no one copied from the other, they both have their identity and are both great. Two real artists. Even the mash-up is amazing.
@@maninblack9850 Wrong. Gossard wrote the music for Footsteps. Google it. Look in Lost Dogs. Most definitely Gossard.
Sing Out Against Souls Bruised
Bless you
This is AWESOME!! Perfect mashup. Thanks for making this.
Very nice... Thanks,,, man chris..... Miss you my man.. this is so sad and so good I'm tore up right now glad I stumbled on this..
This was good.
The fuckin' UA-cam algorithm finally got something right.
searched for exactly this, and here it is, well done, thanks
wow thank you. this is everything.
RIP Andy Wood
You could honestly say without Andy wood there would be no Temple or Pearl Jam.....amazing how life works!
Brillant idea to mix these two songs- same music, different lyrics! Thank you @ChrisH1986
And even more importantly to me is the two completely different vocal melodies
Times of Trouble is the answer. No need to ask the question.
Thank you for doing this !
Very cool!!
Los mejores .......piel de gallina
No.87 on 100 Greatest Grunge/Washington state tracks.
I love this!!!!
What a beautiful heartfelt song- missing , Chris so very much in this present world. Eddie & Chris are soul brothers forever , despite the present sting of the grave taking one too soon. I hope we will see , Chris again beyond this temporal life. Bless his soul & Andy Wood's-who is forever their wonderful soul brother too- whose life & death originally brought them together as artists. 💔
Yesss. So true and I have to believe that they are making beautiful music together wherever they are.
DAMN! that's awesome!
Amazing, thanks.
AWESOME!!!
Isso q é bonito
This was amazinggggg thx u
Una obra de arte
Good work.
this is brilliant. thank you
When Chris sings Don’t try to do it and Eddie sings I did what I had to do it sounds like the song had to be written that way
Los mejores lejos♥️♥️♥️♥️
Pretty good
Hey ah nah nah...innocence is broken
Hi, Chris.
Hi Mark!
Una obra de arte
❤💓
This is fuckin amazing
I love both songs, but Times of Troubles has a more profound emotion. The dark lyrics, the melody changes of Chris... my goodness
@ChrisH1986 could you please tell us which version of each song did you use? Are there in your mix 2 or 3 versions?
It is just two versions, the Temple of the Dog album version of "Times of Trouble" and then I believe it was this version of "Footsteps" ua-cam.com/video/dpXQds7R0Go/v-deo.html
@@ChrisDHarvey thank you! I thought I heard two times Eddie singing/saying "trouble". Am I wrong or was Chris?
@@VICKY1961K it’s Eddie, I copy and pasted a couple things to make the form work :)
@@ChrisDHarvey thank you again! It's excellent work! My PJ friends (in "Pearl Jam Greek Fans"-facebook) appreciate it.
Missing Rotten Apple though...
Chris talking about the two songs. Great interview

@@ryanmcdaniel2251 Two people out of a band of five people. It's hardly like it's the same band with a different singer.
@@ryanmcdaniel2251 not even close
@@ryanmcdaniel2251 actually Pearl Jam is Temple Of the Dog with Eddie fronting it
Literally is the same band
Amazing! Thanks!!!
