Remember the images of William and Catherine being hounded by the press whilst they were dating and Catherine being hounded at the airport with her family being called a slut by the media inorder to get a reaction, or the media trying to trip her up so they could get a story. It was one of the reasons for the split. Did we see any images like that when H was dating M? No. First time anyone knew H had a girlfriend was when they did the press release of their engagement.
