The woman who died in the chest got hit on the head by the lid when getting in and passed out I believe... it's been a while since I read the story but it was something like that so it wasn't an option for her to get out of the chest.
But she would stink bad in a week or so?
Here's the scariest story:

The first story actually went that the chest was in the attic and the bride hid there with the chest open and it fell and caused her a concussion, the chest also locked when the top fell. When she woke up she screamed and tried pushing open the chest but it wouldnt open. After some time without food, water, and she was tired of screaming and trying to break free, she died. Years later a maid went up there looking for something when she opened that chest to find a pile of bones in a wedding dress. (I forgot to say that they sent the whole town looking for her but nobody obviously searched the attic)

Peter Pan was an angel that held kid's hands when on their way to heaven (Neverland). That's why they never grew up. All those kids were dead.

The dog story goes: there was an old lady who lived in a hut. One night she heard drip drip drip. She had a dog that slept under her bed. Anytime she got scared she’d stick her hand under her bed and have the dog lick her to tell her it’s ok. After she kept hearing the drip drip drip she got up to go check it out. When she got up she saw her dog hanging and blood dripping down it for someone had hung it. Quickly she turns around and sees a man come out from under her bed and say. Humans can lick too you know. Then he killed her.

Well acctually you have to do it in a bathroom with the taps on the lights off and candles you'd have to wait a while for it to acctually work though so you should be fine :)
OMG! My mirror is right next to my bed, so when I heard that story I darted out of my room and all the way up the stairs. Terrifying!

Ya know, usually I submit stories and don't expect to see it because there are so many. This video was one where I was kinda sad she didn't see mine because it was a creepy short story I wrote 😂😂

There once was a teenage girl. This girl could look at something and say a command, and the command would be completed. One day when she was home alone, she looked at her iphone and said "Come into my hands" and it maneuvered into her hands. That is how she discovered this. However, she found out she could never do it with someone around, when she tried showing her friend and nothing happened. One day her mom was intoxicated and yelled at her to relieve her anger. The girl said under her breath "Quiet down" as a command. Of course it didn't happen. So the girl simply took the scolding and went into the bathroom to cool off. She looked into the mirror and told a tissue to wipe away her tears. And the tissue did. When she went back downstairs she saw her mom, asleep, next to a bottle of fireball, with duct tape over her mouth, and a cut on her leg. The girl was confused on the duct tape and cut but just blamed it on the fireball and general clumsiness. She told the fireball to go back into the cabinet, but it didn't because her mom was still in the room. The girl went back into the bathroom to brush her teeth and get ready for bed. When she went in there she looked in the mirror to see a shadow behind her holding up the bottle of fireball in one hand and a roll of duct tape in the other. She turned around and saw nothing but a note that said "Your wish is my command" written in blood.

In American Horror Story: Asylum, the main villain is named Bloody Face, similar to Ed Gains he would take the skin of his victims (mainly women) and would make things out of them. Many of AHS (American Horror Story) seasons are based on true events, but this one made me scared to the MAXXXXX!!!!

When I had a cat, it was always scared when I came home, and never wanted me to leave. I thought it was just a clingy cat, so I tried to comfort her, and didn’t think anything about it. The day my cat died, I was laying in bed when I heard a small whisper right next to my ear say “hello pretty kitty.”

So. My friend and I would play this game together in 3rd grade. We were superheros trying to save the world. We would fight this make-believe monster thing called Heda, and we would pretend to see him everywhere. we would pretend to unlock portals, teleport, read minds, and communicate with a bracelet that was "magic." One night after playing that game at school, I went to bed as normal. usually, I would close my closet because I wouldn't want my room to look dirty in the morning (my closet was dirty) but I forgot. I woke up in the middle of the night to a whisper sound from my closet. I opened my eyes and the Heda thing was there. I wasn't dreaming, I wasn't seeing things, It was like I was speaking things into existence at school. My friend and I never played that game again after I told her. I'm in 6th grade now and I have a sticky note on my closet to remember to close it.

Wanna hear a spooky story
So when I went to honduras my parents hometown we stayed at my grandpas house and at that time my grandpa had cancer and well 1 month passed it was a Monday I was with my grandpa saying goodbye and I left the room cause I couldn’t handle it and then I heard screaming and that’s when everyone started crying because my grandpa died so when I heard the screaming I fainted and I fell in the floor and then I woke up in my cousin bed and while I woke up I kept seeing someone look at me through the window and I started screaming and everyone came and they saw a shadow standing next to me trying to choke me and everyone started praying and then it went away

My scary story is:
One time in my old house I was downstairs, and the rest of my family was up stairs, I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth before school, and I saw a hooding figure behind me in the mirror 😅 ily!
There were some young boys on Omegle that were on a call with a teenage girl that was at her home alone. While they were on that call one of the boys said he saw a person sneak into her room. They kept on talking, ignoring what the boy said. Then the person that was said to be in the girl’s room moved closer and this time the boys saw it and knew it was true. They told her there was a person behind her and she screamed and kicked. The boys saw her trying to defend herself from the person in her room. She left the call when she was being attacked. And a little later those same boys found a missing poster of that same girl they were on a call with.

where I live there's this old tale about a light house in the middle of a lake. A mother and her kid were at the top of the light house and her kid fell out the window. She died but her body was never found. People say the mom searched and searched for her body in the lake but never found it. The mom died while searching. People say she's still there as a ghost searching.
There’s more to the wedding chest story,
I think and turns out that the grooms best friend was in love with him and traped the woman in the chest. And the the guy after the reseption thinks that the bride didn’t want to marry him and ran off and he starts to date the best friend and gets married in the same place and when he finds the chest he finds his last dead wife

There's a theory that little kids are hyper sensitive to the world of the dead because of their innocence. Maybe babies cry for "no reason" because of the spirits surrounding them. When you appear as a ghost, you look just like you did when you died, and since most ghosts linger because they died violently or young, their appearance is gruesome and scary. The worst (or best if we talk about childhood trauma) part is that a baby's memory doesn't start to form until they're between ages 2 and 3, and by then they can't see them as well or as often, and because they dont remember, they cant recall it and relay the info to their parents

My mom told me that when i was a baby, she was about to go to bed one night but then herd a bang type sound coming from my room. She walked over to my room and saw these orbe looking things throwing me around. A few months ago(12 years old) my family and i were at my Aunt and uncles house. I wanted to ask my mom a question but they were talking so i just listened and i herd them talking about how the same thing happened to my aunt and uncle awhile ago. She said that she smelt cigaret smoke coming from the basement and they went down there to see what it was and she also saw orbes floating arount it and the next day they drove the painting to the next city and threw it away. (true story)
