When you can install 4070 and have same performance using only 200-220W and have no loud fans spinning , PSU also cool ... Efficiency is not all about how much elecrticity you waste. Its always better to have more efficient hardware.
@ nope couldn’t give a shit. The money you save is pennies, I use a few fans on my case, 3 exhaust, then the 2 case fans sucking air in. Never suffer with temperatures that are out of the ordinary, my 3080 runs seemlessly, my PSU has never even been worked hard enough to even switch its fan on.. and I’ve never even got close to using my 750w PSU to its limit, with a 3080 and an i7 11700k. The noise does not remotely bother me, it runs fairly quiet, and I game with either headphones on or surround sound, if you can hear the fans of a pc through that then you need to upgrade your audio setup. The difference in sound between the two would be minuscule. And while yes more efficient hardware is nice, it’s not the be all and end all, and I certainly wouldn’t choose a card that performs inferior because it uses 100w less power, that’s dumb as hell, and that’s the point I am making.
@@ESKATEUK I get you . Fine. But still - more things can go wrong on higher powered PCs . Intel 14000 series HAD a problem - CPU degraded. Nvidia 4090 HAD a problem - cable melted . If you dont monitor well temps components will overheat and die. Not everyone takes care of their PC like you and me. Kids just start game - set unlimited FPS and play for hours.
