    MY JDM 80 diesel arrived a month ago. I bought it in August of last year and it arrived at the begining of February. I love the fact that it is right side drive. But, the joke is on me when I I have to lean out the left side window inorder to use my key card to go through our gate🤣. Love this rig!

    Question: I have 315/75r16 tires on mine and the spare I got is the same size but different company so its a bit taller, Is it ok to run as a spare being AWD and if yes or no how long would it be dangerous to???

    • @CruisinMiles
      @CruisinMiles  Рік тому +1

      From my understanding it is ok. These are 4WD not AWD. 4WD means you still have open differentials. So the variable speed changes to the different corners of the truck shouldn’t affect drivetrain unless you were locked. And worse case, you should unlock that axle just to be safe. On newer symmetrical AWD systems like on Subarus, they sorta run “unlockable” differentials. So driving those with different sized wheels/tires hurts their drivetrains because once the drivetrain “locks” back into AWD, the wheels couldn’t spin at different speeds.
