What a wonderful space you will have - can’t wait to see the finished result! I really admire both your organization and your attitude about navigating the temporary chaos. We are also in the middle of a move (40 years worth of stuff and a different state!), and sometimes just getting things into the correct room is a major victory! But since organizing is my “love language,” I’m choosing to see the chaos as a really big organizing opportunity instead of just an overwhelming mess. 😆 Thanks for being such a blessing, and I hope all your hard work re-creating your space is liberally sprinkled with excitement and joy. It’s looking great already!! I’m so jealous that you have a basement!! I grew up in the Midwest, & always had a basement! Moved 30+ years ago to southern CA at the beach & nobody can have a basement here!! What a huge loss of space that used to be a wonderful craft area!! Now confined to a bedroom, which is a lot less space than what’s available in a basement!! You are VERY lucky to have that large basement space to build your new craft room in!!! I can’t wait to watch your progress & especially see a full reveal when it’s all finished! God bless you for sharing it all with us!!

II recently made a cross country move from Nevada to Florida, moving my craft studio, which includes 5 sewing machines, an embroider machine, a heat press, three cricut machines a sublimation printer, regular printer, and convection oven. Yes I do all the things, selling in my Etsy shop. Your projects are an amazing inspiration to me and My 12 year old Etsy shop. It all arrived safe and sound during the middle of Covid. Whew. So I feel your pain in trying to get everything built and reorganized. I added the dream box recently which was a game changer. Can’t wait for new videos. Kathy.

I have a sit stand desk from ikea and I really like that I can lower the table below sitting height when I am using my sewing machine. Much more comfortable since I can adjust for the height of the sewing machine.

I had the Elna Carina before and loved it so much I knew I wanted another Elna. I also have a Janome-made Kenmore - more portable and great machine, but not the workhorse my Elna is. Did y’all move away or stay in the area?
