Born and raised in Kovrov, Basuda is the eldest of three sons to parents who were factory workers. Hoping to escape a grueling life in the factory, he enlisted with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and was sent to Naryan Mar, a small sea and river port town on the Barents Sea. Basuda became an avid hunter and trapper during his time in the Arctic Circle, before being transferred to Beslan in 2002.

Actually, it'd be pretty badass if each operator said something when their gadget activated (of course, only your team hears it). For example, when Blitz uses his shield flash, he should say "Smile for the camera!", when Doc heals someone he says "Try not to get yourself hurt.", when Smoke injures or kills someone, he should say "I hope my little beauties enjoyed that."(because he probably would say that), and when Pulse's scanner finds someone he should say "When I'm done, that wont be there." Things like that would be pretty cool, in my opinion.

No joke, I was sitting around waiting to queue into another match and watched this video. The moment it ended a match was found, and the second I connected my ears were immediately assaulted by Russian hardbass. The guy who was playing it chose none other than Kapkan, and throughout the match I don't think he died once. On top of that, he clutched the second round after the rest of us were killed and took out 4 enemy ops without taking a single hit of damage. I'm pretty sure I met God tonight.

man, when you actually think about those traps, they get a whole hell of a log scarier. basically a small IED filled with bolts, screws and nails going off at shin height... good way to lose a leg.

Do it, right now Kapkan is one of the most versatile and balanced operator.
Sure your prep phase will be a little short since you have 5 traps to place, but once this is done your two speed ass permit you to lurk arpund without any problem, beside his guns are really good. Not overpowered but on the edge of it.

The thing about kapkan, for me is kapkan can make the opposing team paranoid. One player knew I was kapkan and he did not step foot inside, I killed him, he was trying to pick us off. I then damage the other opponent and the guy playing doc took him out after he revived me. Kapkan is the best.

BOBBYISTHECOW I mean, it could be in a different place than where he is fighting the terrorists. The Tom Clancy Universe isn't really the same as ours so it could be soldiers from a different country near Russia. The terrorists could be classifed as soldiers though but who knows.
