Fred Gwynne aka Heman Munster, from "The Munsters" and star of "Car 54 Where are You" delivered this gritty Drama 100%. Thanks for allowing us to share this.
This particular radio play is one of my favorites. Luv Fred Gwynne, his voice, his demeanor, his calmness. Whatever type of character he played, he made us believe he WAS that character, so this “cop show” radio play was rite up his alley! He makes us feel that he REALLY ENJOYED his work in portraying these varieties of characters. Just luv listening to him speak. Thanks SO much for putting these plays on for all of us to listen to & enjoy. Great job! 👍 Another favorite of mine is “Escape! Escape!” A creepy one.
I used to know a woman who had worked in set lighting in Hollywood. She had also lived in Brazil and worked on a soap opera there. The woman who played a villainess widely hated by the audience was accosted in the supermarket by a little old lady who hit her with a heavy handbag and gave her a concussion. The opening of this episode reminded me of that.
Wonderful Fred Gwynne. And he had such impeccable comic timing, just when it was needed. Thanks, Edge. Really enjoyed this one, and this playlist is great!
@@rogpile I’m so glad! I really like the filming, it is excellent! He’s one of the best naturalists I’ve come across, so far. It is getting harder and harder to see real animals in their own habitats.
You're not Mase Hacker, You're Herman Monster ! lol, This was 1 of my favorites w/ Fred Gwynn's voice. Also loved him in "Pet Cemetary". RIP Fred Gwynn !
New York you can smell the city listening to these. Human Brown the director and boss lived ti the same apartment on Central Park from 1938 til his death in 2010 at age 99 He owned Chelsea Studios too What a life
I talked to Grandpa Munster, the incomparable Al Lewis on the fone yrs ago. I worked for a publishing company called Laissez-faire. We specialized in Classical Economics and scholastic books and shipped all over the world. He called looking for a particular book on Free Thinking Laissez-faire politics and I found it and sent it to him at his NYC apartment. We had this deep conversation, he was extremely intelligent. But the 1st time he called and told me his name I reverted back to about 5yrs old... I said in an embarrassingly timid voice "Grandpa?" ...he was great, he said "yep" and kinda chuckled. I think he really enjoyed being recognized by someone so young. Very sweet man. He talked to me about personal stuff like his wife of about 60 yrs, and his incompetent doorman lol.
@@violetfemme411 I do apologize if abbreviating your profile/avatar name was too familiar. Or maybe the heart emoji... but I did think your story was a lovely account of a much-loved celebrity.
Imagination- better than all the videos I’m the world. Fred used to do these for the sheer love of performing. They only paid union scale only a couple hundred bucks. They were done in a few hours. My favorite is Gate 27
THANKS EDGE FOR YOUR TIME AND HARD WORK YOU PUT IN SO WE CAN ENJOY AND ALL YOU GET IN PAY IS VERY LITTLE. BUT YOU DO HAVE OTHER PROGRAMS THAT I WATCH AS WELL I APPRECIATE THEM ALL. THANKS ALOT 🙏 👍🤠
ONE MORE COMMENT ON FRED GWYNNE. IS IT POSSIBLE FRED GWYNNE WAS TO LARGE A BODY FOR HOLYWOOD,, THEY SEEM TO PREFER A SMALLER TYPE 🤔. I REALLY APPRECIATE HIS WORK BESIDES HIS WORK AS A MUNSTER.

Fred Gwynne! Nice guy. I literally bumped into him as I was doing my job as a doorman in Manhattan back in the 1980's.
